"Overall the property was excellent, but a couple of maintenance issues 1, we couldn't close the bathroom door without a lot of force , then to open a struggle afraid we might pull the handle off."
2, we had the same problem with the conservatory door sticking , just afraid Of forcing the door and breaking the glass.. possibly the weather didn't help . We really enjoyed our stay , comfortable beds , good location and a beautiful beach . Thank you .

"The property was exactly as listed, The beach was closer and was not as strenuous as I thought after reading previous reviews."
There's lots of costal paths around, and pretty views no matter which direction we look. Bed rooms were spacious and comfortable beds with lots of cupboards. We checked in over the weekend, there was a leak in the shower and was fixed with no hassle on Monday morning, all I had to do was sent a message. Cottage was clean, but there was dog hair everywhere, as I had a child with skin allergies, we had to do a bit of cleaning ourselves before settling and having a hoover on site helped. Welcome pack of tea, coffee cake was a lovely gesture. Will definitely book again
-
"Location was great, unfortunately the place is let down by bathroom needing some upgrading/repairs."
The hoover provided didn't have any suction. Seating in living room is uncomfortable and conservatory chair broken. That being said it is quiet and only a short walk from the beach in a lovely place.

"Great location, lovely bungalow."
Highly recommend!
-
"A lovely cottage in a quiet location with everything you need, a perfect little get away for us with our 2 little dogs."
-
"We liked this property very much."
It was immaculately clean, and comprehensively equipped. Beds and seating were comfortable. We also liked the location, close to the town and a reasonable walk to the beach.
-
"Lovely clean property."
Front and rear Garden well maintained and very pleasant to sit in. One of the beds broke whilst we stayed at the property, the property management was extremely helpful and a resolution was quickly determined. Plenty of parking for 4 cars max. House is lovely and warm. Shower is very good, watch out for the shower water pooling on the window sill, we ensured this was wiped down after every shower. All in all a great property.

"We where apprehensive of our booking after reading some previous reviews, but on arrival we were delighted!"
Eryl was very welcoming....clean, homely and beds comfortable, with a plentiful supply of white towels. Lounge furniture a wee bit dated, but adds to the charm in my oppinion. Back door was opened with ease, and we had a lovely time sitting on the patio in the evening. Garden looking very pretty with azealeas out and fresh cut lawn, and was ideal for our dog. Would not hesitate to rebook. Thank you.

"This is our second stay in Eryl."
We absolutely love the three double bed rooms which are ideal for mother and two daughter share. The garden was totally dog proof for our two small dogs but access through the back door is not ideal and challenging for a 91 year old to open and close securely. We had fairly inclement weather (but we do generally visit the Llyn out of season!) but the option of continuous heating and hot water is a real bonus. The location is quiet with excellent parking and is good for walking to Nefyn beach and the coast path to Morfa Nefyn. The kitchen is well equipped apart, from a lack of kitchen scissors, and we were surprised by the fridge capacity which is excellent. Unfortunately the sliding door between the kitchen and conservatory was missing which made the room quite a bit cooler and draughty at times. The seating in the living room is adequate but could be more comfortable for three adults sharing. The general cleanliness is also adequate but could be improved by more attention to detail - it didn’t ‘sparkle’. Half of the toilet flush button is missing. The linen and towel provision is very good! Providing Eryl is still available next year we will be back!

"Where do I start, I have been to this property about 4 times, I like where its situated, I like its a bungalow ( i live in a bungalow, i have disabilities), and has a garden for my dogs."
We had a pretty rough journey down, snow & hail etc.... my dogs were desperate to go out, no matter what I did, I couldn't open the back door, it was stuck fast, even the person with me couldn't open it... but what hit us first was, the smell of smoke, someone had been smoking in the kitchen & the conservatory. The door that was between the conservatory & the kitchen, was propped up off its fixings with a note saying do not touch, attached to it. The whole building was freezing too, because of it. When we eventually got the back door open, the dogs ran out to relieve themselves and my youngest found a piece of chocolate cake on the patio chair & ate it! She had a funny tummy for the rest of the holiday, as you may be aware, chocolate is toxic to dogs. Later on my eldest dog found chicken bones, when we looked, the bins were overflowing and full of fat, a computer monitor and a spare tyre! There was a broken mirror in the wardrobe, a big blue stain on the carpet & when I started using the pots, they were all dirty... I left the ones I wasn't going to use, I'm not washing other peoples dirty pots! The whole place had its of dirty marks on walls & doors & just seemed really unloved. The garden did get a trim & looked better than previous times we've been. It'd sad really, as I said I've been lots of times before, but this time it looked really sad. Someone did come & empty the bin, but.it was still full of fat. I enjoyed my holiday because I love Nevyn. But the house is very rundown now. I'm booked in later in the year, unless things change, I'm not going to stay in the property. The sofa's are not comfy at all. The shower head is full of black & needs a good sterilisation. The whole 0lace needs a good clean up & maintenance plan. The beds are comfy, bedding & towels clean. The dishwasher had a note on saying it was leaking so to put a towel on the floor when.its used to catch.the water! I didn't use it. The heating was.on most.of the time we where there but it was really cold all the time in lounge & kitchen because the conservatory door couldn't be closed as it was off its runners. Shame really. But Nevyn is lovely and my favourite place.

"The property itself is beautiful and has so much potential however it is a little run down, I found used sanitary products in the drawer of the bedroom opposite the living room also a yellow bag of used linen in the main bedroom where the iron is located."
There is a lot of cobwebs around light fittings in corners etc. In my opinion the back door needs looking at we struggled to get it open I had to go around the back and push it while my partner pulled from the other side, this is very unsafe as this is a exit from the kitchen had there been a fire in the kitchen area it would of been very difficult to get out! When we arrived it was quite late and after a long journey we popped out belongings on the table in the dining area ready to sort through in the morning, when we got up we noticed all our belongings were wet including clothes for the day on closer inspection we noticed a leak from the spotlight above the table again very dangerous and also left us without clothes for the day. I feel a little disappointed about our stay as we were there to celebrate new year with our family and this ruined our experience slightly.

"This is the second time we have stayed here, we love the area , great for walking , especially if you have dogs , and a good base for travelling and day tripping."
The place itself is good and clean , the bathroom units need updating and we found the double beds were a little small although we do have a super king at home , the living room seating needs changing as its very uncomfortable , the back doors need adjusting as they were difficult to open and close . We brought a firestick for the TV, which worked fine . Its great as a base , garden was secure although looking a little tired now, we would definitely come again if the seating in the living room was updated .

"A nice cosy bungalow, in a lovely quiet area, nice and secure for our dog and enough space for her to run around."
You are not far from the beach but getting there does involve a very steep hill, so you do need to be a good walker, you can drive down , and although Nefyn is a lovely place it is a little bit quiet but not far from other livelier areas. On the whole we had a lovely stay and I would recommend it.
-
"It could be a lovely property but it needs major maintenance, exterior doors and windows are in a very poor state paint all peeled and rotten."
Garden very overgrown and overtaking the walk/ seating areas, the one fence is held up by props and nails. Living room seating very uncomfortable and don't expect to have live TV as no signal.

"Loved our stay at Eryl yet again."
The property is lovely, clean and spacious. Ample off-road parking and nice garden with outdoor seating to the rear. The property is on a quiet cul-de-sac near the countryside, a short walk to the shops, the coastal path and about 10-15 minutes walk to Nefyn beach. On arrival there was a small bottle of milk, some Welsh butter and some Bara Brith cake - a very nice welcome! Really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again.
-
"Eryl is a very nice detatched bungalow near the end of a small housing estate, which is a cul de sac."
On arrival we found a small bottle of fresh nilk in the fridge which was a nice little touch. Nice garden with outside chairs and table. Inside the property is well furnished with good quality fittings, comfy beds, decent shower in the bathroom and modern kichen with decent quality hob and oven. There is also an airiness about the place which contributes to the positive ambiance we felt about the property. Eryl is positioned about 100 yards from an access point to the coastal path which diverts from the coastline and passes through Nefyn. Additionally there is a pleasant leisure area with a waste bin at that point which is perfect for walking a dog first thing in the morning and last thing at night. Nefyn has a couple of shops, a couple of pubs and a couple of eateries. There are supermarkets in Pwthelli and Porthmadoc. There is an okay beach in Nefyn but you only have to travel a few miles to discover a variety of exceptional ones. Our favourite was Towyn which was simply awesome.

"Quiet area & good location, peaceful and not too far to the beach."
Great cafe for a quick snack or drink at the beach. Rear garden needs some attention, overgrown. Sofas in lounge uncomfortable. Beds comfy Dogs can get out of garden around the side behind the garage, we put a wheelie bin there to stop them. Nice base to travel around & dog walk Beautiful meal at hotel in village & pub going towards pwhelli (near Morfa nefyn) Porthmadog always lovely to visit, more shops than you could possibly need, including lots of charity shops. Overall great holiday. Booked again!

"The bungalow was a lovely place to stay."
Bigger and better than the photos suggested. We were very comfortable for our stay and had all we needed. The kitchen was the hub of our stay and was great, with everything we needed. The Welsh butter, milk and cake were much appreciated when we arrived!
-
"A lovely bungalow, well equipped, clean and comfortable."
We had a lovely stay.
-
"This bungalow is located in a small quite residential development perfect for exploring the beaches and footpaths around Nefyn , it is spacious and was clean and well equipped and has a nice enclosed garden."
We enjoyed our week here and would come back again.
-
"Good location, The property was well presented, good off road parking, plenty of room with good facilities etc."
The only minor issues are the rear door step paving was broken and wobbled when stepped on, so could be a trip hazard, also the toilet needs attaching to the floor. All in all we had a great stay.
-
"** Strong smell in the hall from the heating oil ** There was a mild smell in the hall of heating oil in the early part of our week, but this became overpowering and unbearable from Thursday morning."
We had to lay towels on the floor across the bottom of the 2 doors that lead from the hall, one into the kitchen, and the other to the passageway to the bedrooms. The towels had to remain there all through Thursday, Friday, and up to us vacating the property on Saturday morning. As the 2 contact numbers in the folder were unavailable, the mobile not ringing, and the landline being constantly engaged, we had to contact Sykes Cottages direct, early on Thursday morning. Thankfully Sykes contacted the property owner, but sadly no-one came to sort out the problem during the rest of our stay. On Saturday as we packed our vehicle, we noticed that clothing hung on the hall coat rack smelled strongly of heating oil. The broken loose paving slab on the step leading into the garden from the conservatory (mentioned on 2 previous feedbacks), hadn't been replaced or repaired and was a tripping hazard. The property is spacious and well located, with ample parking for our 2 vehicles. Would we stay here again? Yes we would, providing the problems have been sorted out.
-
"A nice well equipped property, could do with a hair dryer."
The broken step outside the conservatory could do with replacing. The location was really good & the enclosed garden was great for the dog. Bed linen & towels were a good quality and everything was really clean. A nice touch to leave some welsh butter and a bara brith cake. Would definitely recommend this property, loved it.
-
"This property is ideal, well located and has more or less everything you need."
There are however a few issues that need sorting out in order to make your stay even better. These issues have been mentioned on previous reviews but nothing has been done about them. We found the TV and free view difficult to operate and most of the time there is no signal, there are only instructions for the free view but none for the TV. The front bedroom needs blackout curtains because the light from the street is very bright. The microwave door handle is loose/broken at the bottom. The conservatory door does not have a lock and the door to the garden is quite difficult to lock. The paving slab on the step out to the garden is loose and broken so needs repairing asap before someone trips on it. The garden gate latch is broken and can only be opened from outside. These are little things that could do with some attention. There is ample parking, enclosed rear garden for your dogs, a nice little patio with seating. It is only a 10-15 minute walk to the beach or shopping facilities. There are plenty of green areas and a childrens playground close by, so all in all the property has everything you need. The owner left us some milk, butter and bara brith which is a Welsh fruited tea loaf. All were well received. Would we stay here again? Yes most definitely.

Lovely weekend had by all , the bungalow offered ample space and comfort for six adults with parking for 3 cars on the driveway , lovely enclosed garden for the dogs would definitely recommend

"A wonderful bungalow situated 5 minutes walk from the village centre."
The village has all the amenities needed. The property is well heated and comfy, the beds are excellent and the lounge boasts a brilliant TV! The diner kitchen is large and has everything for you to prepare food. The bathroom is fairly small but adequate. The garden is dog friendly. We wouldn't hesitate to book again, a perfect place to explore the llynn peninsula.
-
"Great place to stay, quiet cul-de-sac location and close to the beach."
All 3 bedrooms, living room and lounge are very spacious with everything you need for a break away from home. Nice secure garden for our fur babies to run around and explore and the patio catches the evening sun. We have already booked for later in the year and are already looking forward to visiting again!

"The bungalow is well positioned for exploring Nefyn and the beach without using a car."
The housing estate is peaceful and had good dog walking along a country lane just at the end of the road. I found the property comfortable and clean, particularly the main double bedroom and the kitchen diner. I'm not spider phobic, but someone who was might find the shower and bathroom's many spiders and spider webs a bit much! Perhaps the cleaners could run a feather duster around the ceiling and walls, and not leave the window open. The front room seating was fine for me, but a family would find the two seater settee and single chair hard and difficult to relax in. The oil fired heating was superb, so quick to heat the water and radiators. The back garden is small but secure so my shitzu dog had a good time exploring the admittedly overgrown shrubbery! On sunny days the outdoor seating and conservatory were lovely for relaxing. The information file on the bungalow was very comprehensive and helped with operating the dishwasher and microwave. The useful numbers came in handy as I needed the services of a vet, and was pleased that the practice recommended in the file were happy to give me an appointment the next day, and dealt efficiently with the problem. I would definitely rebook or recommend this property to friends. Thanks also for the fruit cake, butter and milk left.

"Lovely week spent in this bungalow on a quiet cul de sac with a distant sea view !"
Weather was kind so enjoyed spending time in the garden ! Nearby beach easy to access and great for th dog ! Would recommend
-
"Good place to stay."
The house itself was well equipped and had pretty much everything we needed. The only issue we had was that the cleaners were late so were there when we arrived (after check in time) and we had to wait another 45 minutes before we could get in, as it was raining this wasn't ideal!
-
"We loved the gifts of cake, butter and milk."
The property was roomier than the photos suggested. We had a delightful stay.
-
"We were very surprised that your even listing this property, it’s not up to Sykes usual standard, may be worth your evaluators pay it a visit."
The seals on a few windows were blown, the blinds in several areas were hanging off on the windows, the doors front and back are flimsy and need replacement, it’s a shame it’s a large bungalow in need of investment. Won’t be rushing back.
-
"We had a very enjoyable stay."
The house was warm and comfortable. The location is excellent for exploring, and we enjoyed being a few minutes walk from the beach.
-
"Cleaners turned up at 530pm an hour after we arrived."
The property had not been cleaned given COVID19 standards of cleanliness extremely poor. Previous renters dirty laundry was in hall in bag. Light switch in living room taped off so main light could not be switched on. Both incidents let a good property down.
Thank you very much for taking the time to leave your valuable feedback. We are very sorry to hear of your disappointment in your stay. We have fed this back to ensure this does not happen again and we am pleased that we were able to come to satisfactory resolution for you. We do hope to see you again in future. Property Owner

"We enjoyed our holiday at Eryl very much."
It is situated on a quiet, pleasant and well kept modern estate. The garden was private and safe for our two jack russels. It was a spacious bungalow with a well used conservatory on rainy days. The wifi was good and the kitchen/diner was modern with mod-cons. The off-road parking took our two cars with ease, valuable to us being so close to town centre. The walk to the beach took just 15 minutes. Ideal holiday home and we look forward to going again.
-
"We like this little bungalow,, this was our second stay here."
It is compact but plenty of room for us and our two dogs. Very dog friendly with the kitchen/conservatory and secure garden, although the door into the garden requires some maintenance. Tho local area is lovely, with plenty of walks.

We have a small grey towel in our washing how do we return it Pictures made each room look bigger and also the garden very small

"The cottage was not up to Sykes normal standard looks like and felt like it was an older persons place that is now being used as a holiday let with little or no improvements made."
Thank you for your comments. I'm sorry the property wasn't to your taste but be assured that while the property was indeed previously an older person's residence, the interior has been completely redecorated and mostly refurnished and the kitchen is brand new. This has resulted in a much lighter, more modern ambience than before which I hope is reflected in the photographs. Thanks Again. Property Owner

"A nice bungalow for the most part but lacking a washing machine & clothes line / tumble dryer!"
Advises there is a games room but there isnt. Also sais there is an open fire but fireplace is completely blocked and there is an electric fire there. The furniture is very hard & uncomfortable and not really adequate for 5-6 people. The leather sofa is the best but that’s still hard & uncomfortable. Shower floor is very slippery needs a shower mat! Hot water tap in kitchen is VERY HOT! With above sorted out & some things tidied up and/or fixed it would be a really lovely & cosy bungalow to stay in.
