  • "The place was spotless and superbly appointed and comfortable."

The garden and hot tub were a dream (especially in the nice weather). Had one (slightly unusual) issue but messaged the owner and he got onto it straight away and was so quick to respond. All in all an amazing place to stay, we hope to be back and soon!

  • "Hi, it’s hard as in a lot of things, I would have given things 5 stars, clean, lovely garden, nice location, but unfortunately, there were things that did impact our stay."

Garden, although enclosed, was not secure for our dogs. Rats/mice running around the loft at night, keeping everyone awake. Mattresses in the twin bedroom where not fit for purpose. Our adult daughter had very uncomfortable nights sleep. The jets in the hot tub were mostly not working. The noise from the play park behind the garden did spoil our holiday. It’s such a shame, because a lot positives but definitely a few things that need addressing.

Thank you for the feedback. We truly value constructive comments like this as it gives us the opportunity to improve our property for future guests. Some of the issues that you have raised have already been addressed, and we will be looking at ways of making further improvements as well. The rodent problem that you highlighted was our most immediate concern. We have employed the services of Rentokil as soon as we became aware of the issue and they have sorted the matter very efficiently. We have now retained their services on a permanent contract to guard against any repetition of pest infestation. Upon investigation it appears that the twin beds had suffered from broken base slats, which would account for the discomfort that you described, and this has now been resolved. We have had the hot tub checked and the jets are all in working order. The nozzles had apparently been turned off. We will now look into providing printed hot tub control instructions for our guests. The two issues that we will find a little more difficult to resolve are the play park noises and the secure accommodation of pets in the garden. Although we have fenced the property we will look into ways of making the whole perimeter as secure as possible in future. The proximity of the park does however inevitably mean that playground noise will be present at certain times. Thanks again for bringing these matters to our attention and all the best to you all. • "We had a fabulous stay at Rowarth!"

It was our first holiday with both our toddler and dog and we couldn't have asked for a better property for it. The cottage was perfectly clean and spacious, and provided everything we needed, even plastic plates, bowls and cutlery for the little one. The garden was a big hit, a gorgeous space to play and relax in. We enjoyed plenty of day trips around the beautiful surrounding area, but could just have happily spent our days at the cottage. Thank you for having us, we can't wait to come back!

Beds and furnishings were very comfortable and all essential items were provided. This property is perfectly placed to explore the surrounding area with local shops, pubs and takeaways within walking distance. The owner was really helpful and friendly. Brilliant stay, highly recommend.

  • "We had a fabulous week at Rowarth."

The cottage was the best equipped cottage we have stayed n and was the perfect base for our tour of North Wales. The cottage was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The large garden with outdoor seating was well used especially the hot tub which was great after a day exploring. The owner called to say hello and check all was ok which was appreciated. Rowarth is in a small village but that suited us perfectly. All in all a very enjoyable stay and would thoroughly recommend.

Really nice welcome to the property and the hot tub was a hit. The garden was great for the dogs too. The local community run pub was also really welcoming as well as being dog-lovers. Views were amazing, we had a really enjoyable stay!

  • "The cottage is lovely, spotlessly clean, and the large secluded garden is a bonus."

There was no handbook for the cottage or appliances, we searched everywhere. Only one toilet roll for each toilet, there were a couple of part used rolls in a cupboard. No capsules for dishwasher or washing machine, most other places usually have one or two to start off. Somewhere to keep the garden furniture cushions dry would be handy too. I think for the price this is not too much to expect.

Thank you for taking the time to review our property. We are happy that you have enjoyed the cottage, your lovely comments are most welcome. We take customer service very seriously and therefore would like to address the issues you had whilst here. I’m afraid that the handbook had been temporarily removed whilst it was being digitalised. This is now complete. We will endeavour to ensure that there is sufficient cleaning products and toilet roll from now on. Thank you Property Owner

  • "What a find this property was,it was like a Tardis, with big diner/kitchen,utility room and everything you could possibly need for cooking if you wished to."

The bedrooms were all of ample size,in fact 2 were really big and shower in bathroom was so powerful. The garden complete with hot tub and views out to the hills was a site for sore eyes.Huge Magnolia tree on the lawn and beautiful shrubs with plenty of furniture to sit out. There were lots of lights around the garden which you could have on of an evening too.The photos of Rowarth unfortunately nowhere near do the property justice. The property was perfectly situated and so an easy stroll to the cosy little community pub, takeaway, premier shop and also the Spar shop which being much larger, obviously had a much larger amount and choice of stock. The walk to the beach was a pleasant one with our dog and he loved it there with plenty of room for a good run.Its little cafe with friendly staff was handy for lunch and we can thoroughly recommend the Cornish Pasties! Elfed the owner lives just up the road and gave us a courtesy call just to make sure we had everything we needed which we thought was very kind of him. If we return to Nefyn we would definitely stay here again.

It was very clean, comfortable and well equipped with everything you would need. Beds were really comfortable, which is a must have when staying away from home. It was the two of us and our dog and it exceeded our expectations. The lounge was so lovely to relax in with the log burner and the hot tub was perfect. The whole place was clean and had everything you could think of. We even got some lovely Welsh cakes on arrival and a courtesy visit to see if we were ok. 10/10 book this place!

Sadly let down by poor quality bed frames and mattresses. We also had a problem where one day the hot tub RCD tripped. Easy enough to resolve but we did lose one day’s use due to it losing heat.

Thank you for your feedback. We have changed all bed-frames and mattresses and installed a less sensitive RCD . Thanks for help . Property Owner

  • "Excellent accommodation."

Very clean, with everything you would hope to have to hand, in a holiday cottage. The garden is beautiful, we loved the hot tub and the decor is attractive and homely. The football astro behind the garden was an added bonus for my children. There were lots of local beaches with stunning views and walks to explore but a car is required to seek out other activities. I gave 4 stars for accuracy of listing due to location. All descriptions and photos of locations were a little ‘misleading’ - although the cottage is near the beach/coast - it is a good 15-20 minute walk away from the beach (initially uphill)and the cottage is located next to a run down, deserted petrol station/garage warehouse - not so picturesque as we were expecting. Would we return to this cottage again, if we were in the area? Absolutely yes!

! Lovely cottage, well kept and had everything you needed. Hot tub was fab !! Everywhere was clean & tidy and we found the beds comfy !! Super market and a kebab & chippy close to hand. Central for lots of lovely places in north wales and the local beach was beautiful !! We couldn’t fault anything about Rowarth !! (The only thing I would say if you are taking dogs is that our 2 small size dogs would have got through the hedges easily but we just took them out on their leads so it wasn’t a problem for us !!) Would like to say thank you to the owners for a lovely break !! We would recommend and hope to return next year !!

  • "The property wasn't as advertised in that there was no king sized bed (property description has now been rectified after someone was sent to measure the bed!"

). We received a small amount of compensation for this error. On arrival the property wasn't as clean as we would expect, lots of cob webs, dead spiders and dust in areas around the house. We had to vacuum. The space is good, lounge fine, kitchen could have more oven trays etc but generally OK. No clothes airer so difficult to dry towels or out door gear if unable to use outdoor line. Hot tub fine although all outside furniture is left to the elements so be prepared to clean it down if you want to sit on it. Garden nice and tidy, good size. Bedrooms ok other than incorrect sized bed plus the mattress in the front room is like something from victorian times with uncomfortable and very noisy springs. If you have a big car I doubt you'd get another on the drive and beware as the roads are extremely narrow and if anyone parks opposite the gate you may struggle to get out. Nefyn itself has good and bad points, some of it is run down but it has a good Spar shop, lovely meals and welcome at the local Hotel down the road, Indian was fine and pizza/kebab shop was good. The real star is the beach which is reached down a steepish hill and is just lovely. There's a lovely cafe, beach huts and dog friendly on one side. The water is clean and clear with safe swimming. Overall disappointed with what we got for the price paid for the accommodation.
