  • "Fabulous 10 night stay in comfortable home from home."

We had everything we needed for a relaxing holiday and loved that we could be on the beach within 40 minutes.

  • "Booked for 4 nights but stay only 2 nights because the house is really cold ."

Even the boiler is broken. Hot water didn’t work, informed several times to the manager. He said will informed to engineer to have a look but no one didnt came. Just wasted my money and my family time. Really disappointed. Never recommende to any one

Thank you very much for your feedback. We were really sad that the heating was broken, which of course we did not foresee. We, including our manager tried everything to repair the damage which unfortunately was only partially successful. As we said, we are very sorry about this. However it was always possible to heat the entire house with the two woodburning stoves which I remember being used. Once again our regrets about the problem, which has affected us just as much as you. We try to avoid technical problems by maximising maintenance but unfortunately they cannot be ruled out. The chippy a few doors down is very tasty. Would happily stay there again.

We have been staying in cottages for many years now and this cottage has to be the the nicest one yet , beautifully furnished and decorated, it had everything we needed and more , we loved the conservatory and sat in it every night after dinner

  • "Property was in a good location and very comfortable inside."

The outside let the property down as it was overgrown, full of weeds and looked rundown. The garden was smaller than the pictures were portrayed and if eight guests were staying the seating area would not accommodate them.

If the owners are thinking of selling then let us know, as we are retired and would move there is a flash.

  • "Absolutely loved staying in this beautiful house with our dog for a short break."

When we were actually in the house we spent most of our time in the conservatory which opens out onto the enclosed garden. We were very lucky with the weather and spent our days at Newborough Forest and on the beach and even went paddle boarding with the dog! Stunning views from the property and very thoughtful welcome pack. Would definitely recommend.

  • "Spacious, well maintained, well equipped & warm, cosy house."

Lots of throws & blankets for extra cosiness (not needed as lovely & warm). Easy to light fire in lounge with extra wood in garden storage. 2 showers, the electric 1 upstairs nice & hot. A thoughtful welcome pack a nice touch. The bed was so comfy & large with soft linen. Loads of storage in all rooms. Loved the conservatory, so comfy, warm & light, easier to use this entrance instead of front door, especially with sandy & muddy boots & the dog, spent lots of time there. We didn't use the snug, (as only 2 of us & no kids) but again was a lovely room with games & extra TV. The washing machine came in handy when we returned from walks, wet & muddy. Owner answered a question within 5 mins of sending text & very accommodating. Friendly local pub (but no cask ales or ciders). Loads of walks straight from the door. We had an extremely windy visit but didn't hinder our enjoyment. Would love to return.

  • "We had such a wonderful time."

The weather wasn’t great but we were more than happy to stay in and relax in the conservatory. Everything was 10/10 and the only thing that would have made it absolutely perfect, would be Sky television. That was only because we were in the house a lot due to the weather

  • "Lovely property."

Plenty of space. Beds very comfortable. Appreciated a property with a true King Size bed. When not out and about spent most of the time in the conservatory, very warm with a breath taking view over Snowdonia. Love Anglesey as nothing is more than half an hour away.

  • "Beautiful property, perfect for exploring Anglesey!"

Handy being so close to Newbourgh Beach and Menai Bridge. The property layout is fantastic and could easily facilitate 2 families, a lot bigger from the photos. Plenty of books, dvds, games for all the family and a well informed guide for the house and the area. There are lamas and horses just down the road, we took a litter picker with us, perfect for little legs, and a great circular walk round Newbourgh Warren. We enjoyed our morning coffees in the conservatory, staring at the perfect view of the snow topped ranges and the straits. Monranned was kept toasty at a perfect 21C, it was the first time I have visited a property that restricted access to temp control and was alittle hesitant, however understandable given the cost of living at the moment. The fires at the property were a great feature and we were given all wood, firefighters ect, which the children enjoyed marshmallows on in the evening. We would return as we visit family on the Island and would recommend to anyone visiting, the only minor critic I would have in regards to this property is its lack of kitchen cleaning supplies, i.e. kitchen spray, sponges, cloths just to clean the kitchen. However, this would not stop us visiting again as it was spotless, we just know to add spray ect onto the Tesco order. Thanks for a great stay!

  • "We had a fantastic stay at Moranedd and would not hesitate to return, the house had everything you would require plus more and was absolutely spotless the only thing I would bring up and I know obviously with the current energy situation things aren’t easy to manage but when you are on holiday as we do we are in and out of the property at various times and would of liked the freedom to use the central heating when required but as the owner has control of the heating you were not able to do this !"

! And because the times would vary you couldn’t contact the owner as suggested to change what was programmed I would think we are not the first or last to comment on this and have never had this at any previous Sykes cottages properties.

Thank you very much for your kind words! We are happy that you enjoyed your stay! For your next stay and for all other people who read this: Please contact us as suggested and as other guests also did. We would have been more than happy to assist with an individual heating progam. Due to the inertia of a heating in itself I suggest using the log burners for rapid heating. Again, thank you very much for your stay and we would be happy to welcome you again! Property Owner
