  • "Very clean and cosy."

We had everything we needed. Lovely garden for our two small dogs. Parking in front of the property was a challenge because of our large car, but enough room around the back. Would definately recommend!

Hello Dieter, I am so pleased you enjoyed your stay and thank you for your excellent feedback. I am glad that you found Hillcrest clean and cosy and that your two lovely dogs enjoyed the garden, Thank you as well for highlighting that there is additional adequate parking space around the back for larger cars. • "Our 2nd visit to Hillcrest, and hopefully not our last."

We were delighted to find a fence has been erected on the low wall on back garden patio, making it safe for our dog. (it wasn't safe last time we stayed). Very well furnished and beautifully presented. Full marks for comfort, cleanliness and facilities. Everything we could possibly need for a week's stay, especially as we don't go out in the evenings so need to cook meals. The location is excellent for us being so close to the places we love to visit. Thank you.

Dear Linda and Family, I am so pleased you enjoyed your second stay at Hillcrest and thank you so much for your excellent guest feedback. I look forward to welcoming you all back soon. Best wishes, Karen Property Owner

  • "Excellent property - possibly the nicest place we have stayed with Sykes."

The home is spacious, clean and in exceptional condition. All amenities are in excellent order. Even tho the garden is on a slope it is well laid out with lots of seating areas to capture the sun. The garden is so dog friendly and secure. Small area for parking at front of property, but thats not an issue as ample parking behind the property. Lovely and quiet location, and located to easily travel to local attractions in no time at all. Really enjoyed our stay and will definitely look to book again.

  • "We had a fabulous stay at Hillcrest."

The property was clean, comfortable and warm and is so close to a lovely country park for dog walks and other places for trips out. Thank you so much. As others have mentioned, parking can be a bit tricky - the bungalow is in a small housing area with steep, narrow streets and no pavements - but once you get used to it it's fine. We highly recommend the Teddy Bear's Tearoom in Chirk - lovely friendly staff who couldn't do enough to make my 83 year old Mum feel very welcome, fantastic food with generous portions and excellent prices.

Hi Paula, I’m delighted you and your Family had a fabulous stay at Hillcrest. Ty Mawr Park is indeed lovely for riverside walks and Chirk and its tearooms and bistro and castle is a great place to visit. I look forward to welcoming you all back soon. Best wishes, Karen Just for future guests information, there is parking for an average sized, family car on the front driveway and additional off street free parking (public) for up to two lvehicles at the rear of the property. • "This is a lovely property but a visiting friend found the downhill access challenging, it is very narrow but approached from the other direction we found it fine."

I would have liked a cafetiere as I'm not a fan of instant. Our dogs loved having their beds by the patio door to watch the many birds and squirrels. All in all a lovely place to stay and Ty Mawr Country Park is just a short walk away

Hi Kathy, thank you for your great feedback. I hope your lovely dogs enjoyed their walks in Ty Mawr Country Park as much as they enjoyed watching the wildlife in the garden :) I look forward to welcoming you all back soon. Best wishes, Karen Property Owner

  • "Lovely place, as described."

Well done out and maintained. Beds very comfortable. Lovely walks nearby. Be aware that the adjoining neighbour is deaf so has the TV on loudly which can be heard in the downstairs king bedroom and in the living room, but not the other rooms. Make sure you take your own supplies of tea, coffee and milk as there is no welcome pack, however, there is an Aldi just down the road, so easy to get some.

Hi Karen, thank you for your feedback. I am pleased you enjoyed Hillcrest and the lovely walks nearby. I am sorry that you were disturbed a little by the sound of our neighbour's TV. Thank you too for your advice about the welcome pack; tea, coffee, sugar and small cartons of long life milk are now available for future guests. I would love to welcome you and the Family back to Hillcrest on your next visit to North Wales.Best wishes, Karen Property Owner

The property was, like previously stated - very well equipped, clean and modern. Fully enclosed back garden, which the dog loved to explore in. Good location for great walks, local attractions and amenities. Thankful for the layby at the back of the property, as my car (Audi A6 Estate) would not fit on the driveway.

Very clean and lots of space inside. Well presented. Lovely garden with steps down into it. Parking was an issue outside with only room for a small car . Larger vehicles would struggle to fit in the space. We loved the bungalow and hope to visit again .

Hi Adam and Family, I am so pleased you had a lovely stay in Hillcrest and I look forward to welcoming you all here again soon. Thank you for your excellent feedback. With regard to the parking, and just for future guests' information, the driveway at the front of the house can quite easily accommodate a typically sized family car. Additionally, there is off street parking behind the bungalow, which, I understand, previous guests with larger vehicles have used very successfully. Best wishes, Karen Property Owner

..to get away and have peace and quiet. Little difficult to find with road closures and i didn't realise there were narrow roads where the bungalow is set. This is not a moan. Lovely walks to have and the views where the bungalow is situated were fabulous! We hardly saw anyone, other than the elderly neighbours that popped out into their gardens for 5 minutes. The bungalow itself...no complaints. The weather was great so we spent alot of the time sitting and talking in the lovely garden. Had everything, was clean and tidy, my mother didn't want to leave. Thank you for letting us stay.

There was plenty of room downstairs and it was very well laid out. All was very clean and modern and everything we needed had been provided and we felt instantly at home when we arrived. The large bathroom with walk in shower was great. It is situated in a very quiet area and we only saw a couple of cars pass all week. The quiet enclosed garden is a great asset and even though it was October we managed to sit out in it. The car parking space at the front was fine for us with a medium size car. All in all we would highly recommend this property and hope to return for another visit.

Immaculate in presentation, and very comfortable and warm. It had everything we could possibly need, although a grill pan handle or oven gloves would have been helpful. The parking on the front drive was a challenge, but we managed without mishap. Excellent location for visiting the attractions, very close to the Llangollen canal at Trevor Basin, and 10 minutes from Llangollen itself.

Hi Linda, thank you so much for your amazing feedback, I am so happy that you enjoyed staying at Hillcrest and found it an excellent location for visiting the local attractions especially the Trevor Basin and Llangollen. I am glad you were able to park on the front drive and for even larger cars there is a lane at the rear of Hillcrest, in which you can park free of charge. There are oven gloves and a grill pan handle in the kitchen, (but hiding away in a drawer, I think! - Apologies!) I shall make sure they are more easily located for future guests. • "Lovely, well modernised property, nice sized garden too."

Super clean with everything supplied. Brilliantly situated just a few minutes walk away from Ty Mawr Country Park, plenty of walks and trails available and perfect for those who have taken dogs on holiday. A suggestion for dog owners, and this is by no means directed at the property owners to rectify, if your pet is older or unsteady there is a lot of laminate flooring on the ground floor. I had already anticipated needing some runners from the pictures supplied so brought my own from home but still needed to pick a couple of others up on the second day as my 10 year old Staffie was like Bambi on ice! Throughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend to family and friends.

Lovely quiet area, great walks and although in a small village, Tesco for all of your supermarket needs was only 3 mins drive. The house really was beautifully finished, open plan kitchen worked so well for the family. The garden was lovely and perfect for pets too. Super comfortable beds and modern bathrooms, all very new and gorgeous. This is a hidden gem and a top tip book quickly I think this is going to be an extremely popular property.
