The property

A delightful, end-terrace stone cottage in the hamlet of Llanfaethlu that has been lovingly renovated and styled by its current owners.

Located just over a mile from fabulous sandy beaches and the stunning Anglesey coastline, dating back to the early 1900s, this lovely cottage is ideal for a romantic break or a holiday for a small family.

Inside this wonderful cottage there is an airy kitchen with dining table and exposed joists, and a welcoming sitting room, where you can relax and unwind after an energetic day exploring the delights on offer in the local area, with added atmosphere and warmth from a woodburner.

On the first floor there are two comfortable bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with a single bed, together with a family bathroom.

With an outdoor seating area, you can enjoy the sunshine and views towards the coast in the peace and tranquillity of the surrounding countryside, relaxing with a cup of coffee or dining alfresco.

In the village there is The Black Lion Inn, a Grade II listed 18th century country dining pub where you could stop for a refreshing drink, or go further afield and discover the 125 miles of coastal path around the island and the sandy coves and beaches around Church Bay where you can swim, sail, surf, and fish, and if you are lucky, you may even spot dolphins.

For a hidden gem of a beach, Sandy Beach offers a wonderful day out for all of the family, mostly isolated with beautiful golden sands to build sandcastles and ice-cream to indulge in, it’s a wonderful treasure well-worth a visit.

After a day of sun-soaking, cure your hunger at the delicious Lobster Pot, a seafront restaurant serving fresh seafood since 1946 when the owners converted their charming cottage into the restaurant that stands today, it offers wonderful food and a matching sense of community.

Further afield you will find historic castles at Beaumaris and Caernarfon, or visit the fascinating Sea Zoo or the Pili Palas Nature World near Menai, with butterflies flying around you!

A holiday wouldn't be complete without visiting South Stack Cliffs in Holyhead which is one of the best places for wildlife in the UK.

For an adventure on a different island, Ynys Llanddwyn offers a fabulous day trip for all, hosting an array of maritime and natural history, a beautiful picnic spot, and coastal walking routes, it’s a great place to visit no matter the time of year, be sure to visit Newborough Forest whilst in the area too, with a wide array of wildlife and even more walking routes, it’s the perfect place to spend a lazy afternoon.

Whatever you find to do, this cottage will make an ideal holiday base and tempt you back again and again.
