• "This was my first time stay at this excellent cottage."

  Warm cosy and most of all clean , the kitchen had everything you needed.. The utility was laid out so you entered it first when you come back in from walks with a dog n my case 2 small Jack Russell’s and dried them off if wet before entering the living areas. The Gate at bottom of the stairs a great idea to stop them investing . The views were outstanding from all the windows. The only drawback was the outside space where I couldn’t let them out without their leads on has the walls were to low and they would be off enjoying the countryside ( you couldn’t blame them ). I would definitely recommend this cottage for comfort, tranquility and location .

  We had a lovely holiday at Glasfryn the cottage was extremely clean and comfortable there was everything you could possibly need for your stay it was very well equipped we came here to avoid the fireworks at home as our dog is petrified of them and it was perfect we really enjoyed the peacefulness of Glasfryn with the only noise from the sheep in the surrounding fields our dog enjoyed his morning walks on the beach just a short drive away we would definitely recommend Glasfryn and hope to return some time

• "We had a lovely holiday at Glasfryn in September 2024."

  The cottage was cosy, comfortable and spotlessly clean. The kitchen was well equipped and it was great to have a utility room with a washing machine and dryer and space to put wet coats/shoes, if needed. For us, the garden was not secure (our boisterous sprocker leapt over the front wall as soon as we arrived but he was on a lead so didn't get very far, and, in his defence we did have a very long journey!) but this wasn't an issue as there was a lovely small beach about a 10-minute drive away which was perfect for him. There was a huge Tesco just outside of Holyhead and a Morrisons as well, which was great. The cottage was a perfect base for us to explore Anglesey and I would have no hesitation in recommending it.

• "Booked last minute for a long weekend for husbands birthday."

  Our party consisted of 2 adults, a 7 year old and a small dog. Lovely cottage on a quiet single lane road. Ample parking. Very well equipped. We had a BBQ on the first night and sat outside in the sunshine. Later during our stay, when the weather deteriorated, we were able to access our Netflix account on the TV to watch a film after our son was put to bed. Would recommend, we will be back.

• "Loved the cottage, very clean and comfortable with everything to make it a home from home."

  The only problem for me was the weather, which was out of the owners control, but it stopped us being able to use the full facilities on offer eg. Barbecue and outside bench and table. I will certainly be looking to book again, as we loved the cottage and the location. Many thanks Mike

  The cottage was immaculate, well equipped, comfortable and in a great location. You can walk to the local beach and the beautiful Church Bay is only a very short drive away. The cottage is ideally situated to explore Anglesey and all that it has to offer and at the end of the day a comfortable place to sit back and relax. Loved it and really can't wait to return. • "The cottage is beautifully maintained,clean, cosy and well equipped."

  The owners really do an excellent job of making sure their property is ready for when guests arrive. Have to say this is I think the best property we have stayed in for some time, this was our 3rd visit, already booked for next year. Location is peaceful with not much passing traffic or people,making it ideal for a lovely restful break, just what you need. Only minutes away from Valley, Penrhos Coastal Park, ideal situation for exploring the island

• "Most uncomfortable sofa & beds that Ive ever sat on."

  The sofas starts becoming uncomfortable after sitting on them for 20 minutes. Had to leave after the first day as neither of us could of endured another minute on the sofa. Luckily husband's backache went after a day mine took several days to ease. We expected a garden at the back of property but its its just the stoned side of the house for parking. So no privacy & yet again uncomfortable sitting. So didn't use.The area is quiet but unfortunately no pathway to walk the dog.You would have to walk on the road.Upstairs very compact. Can honestly say it was the worst experience of a holiday let.The 3 hour journey on the way home was more comfortable. A lot of expense for one night !

  The house was prepared so well - very clean with some thought - The Christmas decorations and Christmas crackers were a nice touch. This really is a nice and cosy cottage. We loved curling up in front of the fire in the evening, as the gales roared outside!

• "Very nice cottage, everything you needed was supplied."

  All very clean and modern. Ideal position 10 mins in the car to Sandy beach, although this was busy in an afternoon and no parking so we checked tide times and went every morning to walk the dogs. Also 10 mins to Valley where there was a good chip shop (Enoch's), Chinese and a great meal at the Valley Hotel.

• "We had a lovely week at Glasfryn cottage."

  The property was spotlessly clean and well equipped. The sofas were comfortable and the cottage was cosy and warm despite the very strong winds we had all week. All essentials were provided such as dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid, tin foil and some little extras such as dog bowls and poo bags. All these little things do make a difference when you are only there for a week. The location was very peaceful and only a few minutes drive to the coast. I would highly recommend staying here.

• "Really lovely place."

  Photos don't do it justice really. Your neighbours are basically cows (no one next door during our stay). Less than ten minutes drive to beaches and walks in either direction. Clear water, fresh air. Friendly shop selling loads of goodies up the road. We'll book again.

  We personally found the mattress uncomfortable but appreciate it’s difficult to be able to suit everyone The large settee wasn’t very comfortable either again we are used to a riser recliner. We enjoyed our stay at Glasfryn and would book again.

• "Lovely cottage very clean and all you need for a week's stay ."

  Dog friendly note walls are a little low if you have a dog that is a jumper .Nice dog friendly beaches near we used the one near Holyhead most .Their is all the big shopping stores on one site the KFC is great. Just one point in the Kitchen the cupboards are low and the plastic trim gets hot with the cooker on and the toaster on . The fire extinguisher is missing in the Kitchen their is a Fire blanket . We had a great stay . Thank You.

• "Delighted with our stay, The house is really well suited and comfortable, enclosed garden, so the dog could come and go as she pleased and such a peaceful location."

  Anglesea is a place that likes to hide its trasures, but when you go looking, it is well worth the effort. 2 reccomendations, The Oystercatcher at Rhosneiger, dunes, miles of beach, and the most dog friendly pub you could wish for. Also Ynys Llanddwyn, wow!!

• "We had a lovely week at the cottage everything was as described in the property listing."

  The only downside. We arrived during the heatwave, and would of loved to sit outside but the hard wooden table with stools attached to the table were so uncomfortable, we moved to sit on the wooden bench which was equally hard and uncomfortable. So went to Tesco's and bought a couple of camping chairs with backs. The umbrella that goes with the table is broken too.

• "Well presented property in the heart of Anglesey."

  Although pets were welcome, when we arrived there were so many rules regarding the dogs it gave an adverse effect of welcome. The property was on very narrow road ways, that walking the dogs around the area was not a pleasant experience. We had to drive 10 -15 minutes to have a safe walk with the dogs. The garden had a very low wall, so was not very friendly for our terrier as she has a habit of jumping everywhere. If you are a couple looking for somewhere quiet and wants to drive everywhere it would be okay for you.

  Hi we’re glad you liked the cottage but sorry you found the rule of no pets upstairs an inconvenience, it’s the only rule we have regarding pets and enables us to keep the property to the standard customers expect, not all dogs are well behaved unfortunately. Most of the roads are narrow country lanes on Anglesey but are very beautiful and quiet, there are 3 sandy, dog friendly beaches within a 5 minute drive from the cottage or a 20 -25 minute walk. • "We loved this cottage."

  It was nice to feel in the middle of nowhere, yet a short drive to shops, pub and food. I liked all of it and if I had to scrabble around to suggest an improvement it would be to offer more than freeview, Netflix or sky would have made a lovely addition. But the cottage was spacious, spotless and warm. We had a lovely, sunny but incredibly windy week and were very happy!

  As soon as I walked into the cottage I was amazed by its cleanliness, it’s size and the thought put into the overall feel of the cottage e.g., the chic furniture, the fire, even down to the sewing kit, the baby products (cot, feeding chair,etc) and the numerous board games, movies, books, etc. provided in one of the units in the living room. A fantastic cottage that I will be booking again.

  cleanliness is second to non, the cottage has everything you need for your stay in regards kitchen equipment, utensils, cleaning products . Beds very comfortable.The utility room entrance is a bonus as you can take muddy or Sandy boots off instead of trapsing through the cottage. The cottage is a credit to the owners . • "The cottage was wonderful and we had a great time."

  However, there was nothing ie beach or facilities within sensible walking distance. The pub, described as in the village was at least 2 miles walk each way along a very busy main road with no pavement. It had changed to an eaterie with very reduced hours and not dog friendly inside. Weather not always conducive to sitting out. Would not recommend unless prepared to self cater totally. Need to advise customers that all attractions eg steam railways, zip wire and the recommended restaurant The Lobster Pot need to be booked well ahead.. Everything we tried to do was booked for weeks ahead.This is not a complaint just hopefully helpful advice for others.

• "The cottage is fantastic and has everything you need, the entrance at the back was great as we could ensure we left our boots and cleaned the dog fully before going into the spacious lounge."

  The kitchen is well stocked and has everything you need. It is located In a great area, easy walk to the beaches and coves and walk to church bay. The Black lion pub does a fantastic breakfast and is also walkable. We would’ve given 5 stars but the bed was creaky and uncomfortable and we also found the outside seating area uncomfortable, although it was very useable. If you have a dog please note the wall can easily be jumped and we had to keep ours on the lead, but she is a nosey Beagle.

  It’s perfect for dogs with it’s enclosed garden and entrance/ utility where dirty paws can be cleaned before entering main house. My only comment of any negativity would be the double bed isn’t so comfortable for 2. Single mattress much better!! All in all a lovely place.

• "Our first cottage holiday since lockdown and it was super."

  The cottage was beautifully clean, well equipped with comfy furniture and a good use of space. A very practical and safe garden especially for dogs. We really appreciated the dog gate on the stairs as we were with a dog who sleeps upstairs at home. It was a godsend, thank you. The cottage is in a excellent position, off the beaten track but still easy to access the main roads and the beaches.

  home from home. We went in December so it was very bleak! I’d love to go again in the warmer weather to take advantage of the outside space and bbq area. All in all a lovely break with lots of time to chill out in front of the amazing log burner

  for you stay. Good parking,in a lovely location can see the sea from the bedroom window and the sunsets were beautiful. Lots of good walks from the house.Not really a issue just have to watch your dogs with the front wall as ours could jump it but the road was not that busy.

  It was home from home beautifully furnished and immaculately clean. It was in a lovely situation with lovely views across the fields and can just see the sea. This is the third cottage we have stayed in with Sykes cottages in different areas and all have them have been excellent but this was the absolute best. Anglesey is a beautiful island completely unspoilt with wonderful coastal walking and secluded bays. Local restaurants and coffee shops offer good food and are very friendly. To top it all the weather during the day was sunshine every day with a bit of wind some days but lovely....especially welcome as the rest of the uk were having heavy rain and floods!

  It was spotlessly clean, had excellent facilities and was very dog friendly, apart from the garden wall, which was too low at the front. However, we just took our two border terriers outside on their leads. This was our first visit to Anglesey and we will definitely be returning. What a beautiful and diverse place.
