  • "Great property- very smart appliances but didn't have any manuals on how to use them."

A very clean property. There was lots of storage space which was a real bonus in a very nice kitchen

Thanks for your kind words about my property, I'm very glad you enjoyed your stay. I would be interested to know why your review scores do not seem to match the positive feedback you have written, would you mind reaching out to Menai Holidays with any improvement suggestions you may have? Also, if you can specify any appliances which you found complex I will arrange for a guide to be printed and added to the welcome pack. Many thanks. Property Owner

  • "Nice house, but maintenance issues with the boiler."

As a result we had cold showers on 2 evenings. The smart fridge freezer provided us with much entertainment, but the ice maker needed a code which we didn't have, and this was not provided by the owner. We would have liked to stay an extra couple of nights, but the owner wanted a whole week's rent, which we thought was very mean considering the problems with the boiler.

Thank you for sharing your feedback about your stay at my house. I appreciate your comments and am sorry to hear that you experienced some issues during your visit. Regarding the boiler, I apologize for any inconvenience caused. As soon as I was notified about the lack of hot water, I immediately contacted British Gas and it was fixed at the earliest possible time. However, nobody was informed that you had cold showers on two evenings, and I wish you had mentioned this to Menai properties during your stay so they could have taken further action, rather than letting us know only now in the review. Concerning the smart fridge, I understand that the ice maker required a code, this happens after pressing the 'lock' button, which you may have done by accident. Please note however, this is not listed under the property amenities. I strive to ensure that all advertised features are available and functional. I take pride in maintaining a clean and comfortable house for my guests. The house is professionally cleaned before every booking, and I'd also like to thank you for keeping it so clean during your stay. Though, I must say I'm saddened by the 75% cleanliness rating given the quality of the cleaners' work (which is checked before and after every stay). Regarding your request to extend your stay by two days, I appreciate your interest in staying longer, but the booking policy is strictly weekly rentals. I also want to respectfully mention that I was surprised to receive some direct emails from you during your stay, with one unfortunately describing the house as a "disaster". You had accessed my personal email address presumably from the settings of my electronic devices. I appreciate your enthusiasm but I did find this invasive and I prefer that guests communicate with Menai Holidays for any issues or concerns so that all matters are handled efficiently. Thank you again for choosing my home, and I hope you will consider staying again in the future. Property Owner
