"We loved it, the cottage was lovely, the log burner a real treat and the facilities were excellent."
-
"We had a lovely restful stay in the cottage, it has everything we needed."
The garden was enclosed for the two dogs which was paramount for me. Logs in the shed for the log burner and a bottle of fizz for us in the kitchen. Very clean and tidy. Local parking available for a small donation nightly. Would recommend and we’ll be back!

"We had a wonderful stay in this cosy, well equipped and brilliantly situated cottage with walks nearby and well located for Betws-y-coed."
The owner was exceedingly helpful and kind and I would definitely stay there again. Great access to Snowdonia's attractions but in a peaceful village. The fact the shop is a few doors away is also very handy!

"Sykes you were not responsive when l contacted you about the booking."
In the end after 2 hours l eventually found the information myself.

"Had a great stay at Dolwen."
The cottage had everything you may have needed. It was perfect for us in terms of location for what we needed & has beautiful views. The little village is lovely and quiet, if you’re after something a little more lively as in bars/restaurants, 10 min drive to the next village and you’ve got more going on.

"Fabulous stay, very warm and comfortable."
All the little extra home comforts left by the owner were very appreciated. Excellent location to access all local tourist spots. Overall very good value for money and would definitely book this property again!

"Lovely cottage."
Unfortunately, I found the bed in the front room very uncomfortable. The idea of a good night’s sleep is important at my tender age of 77. Snowdonia is unbelievably awesome. If we did return it would have to be a bigger place to stay.

"Both Sam and I stayed at Your beautiful Dolwen cottage,Penmachno, North Wales,28th October/03rd November 2023."
Situated in a quiet, idyllic village surrounded by countryside views, grazing cattle on the hillside. This is the perfect holiday to retreat to, to recharge our batteries. This is a stunning hidden gem, fabulously stocked up with everything you could possibly need. Including a village church, pub and corner shop, there is nothing else you would possibly need. Definitely a home from home. Denise is a perfect host, being on hand to answer any queries if need be. Will definitely be returning!!

"Lovely place to stay, great location, nice relaxing holiday"

"We had a fabulous stay, lovely attention to detail for dogs was much appreciated."
The cottage is small but comfortable and cosy, we had everything we needed in the cottage, with a shop at the end of the road and a pub (didn’t visit the pub), a little table at the end of the garden - we sat in the sunshine with a drink & game of cards with our kids each evening surrounded by sheep & lovely views. Zip World is brilliant if you have kids and Conwy Falls was a great little find! Good weather helped but there is so much to do in this beautiful area we ran out of time, the walks & views were breathtaking & we will hopefully be back to visit places we didn't get to go to!

"We had a wonderful honeymoon at Dolwen!"
The cottage was even more beautiful than the description online and there were amazing views of the lambs outside our bedroom window. Denise had really thought of everything - the kitchen had everything you could possibly want, she updated us about local news, and provided so much information about local attractions and places to eat! There isn't car parking at the property, but the village car park is super close, you just have to move your car on a Sunday for chapel. We just wish we could stay there forever!

-
"Really nice cottage with everything as described."
The location is amazing. Also, a pub and local shop just a few steps away.

"Lovely little cottage, with all you need."
Great view from the dog friendly garden of hills with nice patio to enjoy. Small pub and shops few yards away in village. Lots of local walks from the village or as a base for short drive to all the key hiking routes. Being centrally based it’s an ideal location. Kitchen and accommodation had everything you needed for home cooking. Perfect!
