  • "Excellent place for exploring North Wales."

The front and rear of the property requires major maintenance, a good clean up, front bench starting to rot. The gated entrance if of no use so there is a potential safety hazard if you have children or pets. The metal gate looks as though it hasn't been maintained for 10 years, it’s rotten and hanging of its hinges There is NO rear garden, just some shingle and no view and you do not get any sun as it's against a cliff. The bathroom door is a sliding door and has clearly been off the runners for a very long time, the floor has a groove worn in it due to it dragging so not privacy in the bathroom. This is a major safety hazard which could lead to the door falling off. In previous reviews this has been highlighted but not addressed, the shower control has a fixing screw missing so the handle comes off in your hand or falls on the bath and this looks a though it has been missing for a long time, just basic maintenance needed. Three out of four lamps in the rear of the property needed replacement, just the basic checks any landlords would hopefully carry out when getting ready for next client. Key lock at the rear of the property is old and dirty, just needs a replacement and you would struggle to use it in the dark, a simple security lamp would suffice. Handle on fridge kept coming off, as reported by previous guests, again just basic maintenance needed. The only 'starter pack' for the wood burning fire was a few firelighters, no wood or matches so bring your own! Nice location, could be a 5-star property but the owner needs to get a grip with maintenance and description.

  • "We stayed of 4 nights in this cottage."

It was giving us the feeling of home. It had a great experience great orme summit cable car , tram was very close to our house. I would definitely like to go again

  • "We loved the location, being up high gave fabulous views over Llandudno and next to the Tram line."

The accommodation was well appointed with a nice lounge and kitchen. The bedrooms were really nice. The bathroom was also nice and clean. I do like a bath which it had, as well as the shower over the bath. The owner needs to be aware that the sliding bathroom door kept coming off it's rail and was also noisy and ill-fitting. The fridge knob is loose. The front is lovely to sit out but the bench is flimsy. The rear outside space requires some attention, we actually removed some of the weeds there. The key press isn't the easiest to use. I would gladly return

  • "We had a weeks stay in this cottage with our 9 year old grandson."

It was clean on arrival with fresh bedding and towels provided. The amenities in the cottage were good. We had a problem with the WiFi but the owner sorted this out when I messaged him. The view from the cottage was fab and it's well placed for walks over the Great Orme. As described the cottage is on a steep slope and the steps in the cottage are very steep so not for people with walking issues or who aren't confident driving and parking. We had no issues though. We really enjoyed our stay and Llandudno and surrounding areas are our fav place to go. Would definitely return.

Its homely very clean and inviting with everything you need within it, the bed is comfortable with great views of the bay below, nice and quite very peaceful, great muddy room at the rear for our dog and for boots and coats after long walks. • "No toilet roll when we arrived (the owner did drop one off a few hours later), no kitchen roll and no matches for the fire."

That aside, great location, really comfy bed, so quiet! Would stay again - really liked the place. Muddy boot room at the back was handy for us and our soggy dog!

About the location

LLANDUDNO

Conwy 4 miles, Colwyn Bay 6 miles, Snowdonia 20 miles.

Llandudno lies between two headlands, the Great Orme and the Little Orme and it is these headlands, and the town's two waterfronts, that give this tourist resort its special appeal. The town offers two superb beaches - the North Shore, with its wide promenade backed by an imposing crescent of Victorian hotels and the quieter West Shore with miles of sandy shoreline backed by sand dunes and superb views towards Anglesey. For the best views, however, you can reach the summit of the 679ft Great Orme using either the Great Orme Tramway or by taking an exciting cable car ride of over a mile. The town has an excellent selection of shops, pubs, restaurants and cafés, as well as Venue Cymru, which is North Wales' premier theatrical stage for opera, ballet, musicals, comedy and visiting orchestras, boasting a programme that is second to none - all this is just a stone's throw from the promenade. Just 4 miles away is the town of Conwy - a designated World Heritage Site. A true medieval gem, Conwy is dominated by a splendid castle and completely enclosed by its well-preserved town walls. Discover miles of sandy beaches along the North Wales coast and excellent walking and climbing in the Snowdonia National Park just 20 minutes' drive away - there's plenty to see and do!
