  • "This Shepherds hut is one of the best places we’ve ever stayed."

It’s got good parking, it’s spotless, nice fresh towels and bedding, had everything we needed and the most amazing views. We did miles of walking off the doorstep as it’s straight onto footpaths. The sunsets were beautiful and we were super lucky with the weather. Will definitely stay here again we loved every minute!

It was everything we wanted. The location is perfect and the view is really something else. I loved the privacy of it and how you could come and go as you please. Wales has such a special place in my heart. I have already recommended it to family and friends and I am already dying to get back. Beautiful place.

  • "We had the best time staying at the shepherd’s hut!"

We’ve enjoyed our peace and quiet, and our privacy! Although located in a mountain, it was not too far from town centre, just less than 10mins drive. It is also located near the castle ruins, which we managed to hike on our second day. Thank you very much for having us! Definitely we are coming back!

Thank you for your kind words. So glad you had a great stay and that you wish to return sometime that’s great! Property Owner

  • "Tan y Castell is Beautifully done inside & Out."

The location and views are outstanding. Sarah & Paul are fantastic hosts. They allowed us to feed the Lambs, which was lovely. It was such a lovely relaxing break, you just need to be prepared to be woken by the noise of the sheep & lambs. Thank you Jon & Kate we will be returning.

Hi, yes being here during lambing time the sheep are more vocal in the shed. Glad you enjoyed your lambing experience! Look forward to meeting you again…..from Helen & Mark Property Owner

  • "A lovely little hideaway, with perfect views all around."

Easy access to a lot of walking trails, and a stones throw away from Dinas Bran castle. Also on footpaths that go directly to Llangollen. Facilities provided are all you could ever need, and were exceptionally clean on our arrival. Also, the inclusion of a fire pit made the evenings extra cosy. If the weather conditions are poor the hut has underfloor heating, so you won't notice the cold. I would recommend staying here to anybody who likes the countryside, I doubt you would be able to get better views at any other property around Llangollen.

Thank you for your kind review its very much appreciated, glad the hut was warm and cosy. Hope to welcome you back sometime to see the view again! Property Owner

  • "This beautiful Shepherds Hut sits in an idyllic spot above in the valley just above the town of Llangollen."

Set on a working farm with views of Dinas Castle and the rolling mountains far off into the distance. The hut has everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay, it was spotlessly clean, cosy, peaceful, relaxing and the owners Helen and Mark were very welcoming. If you enjoy wildlife this is definitely the place to stay with the sheep roaming freely and the pheasants majestically flying around, just take your binoculars along lots more to see. Plenty of walking paths easily accessible from the hut too. Our weekend break was just what was needed to top up the batteries and we will be back.

Thank you for your lovely feedback hope to welcome you back sometime! Property Owner
