Absolutely beautiful cottage in lovely grounds , we all had a brilliant stay , the beds were super comfortable, so peaceful yet not to far from all the lovely coastal villages , we will definitely come back when we visit Anglesey

"This is the 2nd time we’ve stayed at Gamekeepers Cottage and we loved every minute."
It’s a very comfortable and well equipped cottage and it caters very well for your four legged family members. The hot tub is definitely a bonus. Anglesey is so beautiful and her beauty never ceases to amaze us!

This probably was an amazing, just needs some tlc to make it 5 star, but wouldn't stop me coming back, ideal place for exploring Anglesey

"We had a lovely week at Gamekeepers Cottage Plas Llechylched at the beginning of August."
It’s a beautiful cottage, furnished to a very high standard and it had the bonus of a lovely hot tub. The cottage is well situated to explore all over Anglesey. The owners have kindly thought of everything you will need during your stay and the welcome pack was well received. The cottage was also beautifully clean, we couldn’t fault it. We will definitely return.

"Cottage was lovely, very spacious and comfortable."
Outdoor space is great for the dog with additional paddocks for the dog to run free. Hot tub was fab. Gwen was very helpful when we had a WiFi issue. The local town of Rhosneigr has a beautiful beach with lots of lovely places to eat. The whole island was very welcoming and dog friendly.
-
"This was our second visit to The Gamekeepers Lodge and we loved it ."
We had our 3 dogs with us and unfortunately 1 was very poorly so we needed to stay home more than usual but that wasn’t a problem . The enclosed garden and hot tub were especially useful and we were blessed with beautiful weather . Lovely setting and very private

"We hd a fantastic week in Rhosneigr, and really enjoyed our bright, spacious cottage and the lovely peaceful surroundings."
The hot tub was a welcome bonus when we came back with aching bones and sore feet at the end of long days out! The wildlife of Ynys Môn is wonderful, of course, but the wheelchair access at nature reserves is very good too. Some of the facilities we've come across during visits to Wales far exceed anything we'd find in England. The only feedback we have on the cottage is that it would be really useful to let people know that internet access is always limited and often non-existent – we couldn't even load the BBC weather forecast page on the wifi most days. It won't concern everyone, of course, but some of your visitors may be keen wildlife photographers like us. I didn't see any prior information about it (apologies if I missed it!), and if we'd known, we could have save ourselves the expense of buying extra mobile data packages. We've got flash devices, of course, but as we've always been able to upload photos to cloud storage at holiday cottages, we didn't take enough storage. A hint in the guest info that upload speeds tend to be slow would be enough to alert any photographer, without being off-putting for other folk. Thank you for the welcome, though, we had a wonderful week and wouldn't hesitate to book again.

"The cottage on the surface was beautiful!"
The grounds were stunning. Everything was great until one of our dogs toys went under the furniture in the conservatory! It did not look like it had been moved in a very long time. It was filthy but we cleaned it and continued our stay. They day before we were due to leave we cleaned as it says leave property as you found it!!! We found food pens to name a couple of things in the settees the vent for the fire had not been touched it was full of dust and dog hair we actually spent 4 HOURS cleaning that day!!! We spoke to one of the ladies on site about it who was lovely and very apologetic. We also sent an email to the owners who said they were sorry and would speak to the on site team. Hopefully this was a one off but either way we wouldn't return.

"Gamekeepers cottage is set in beautiful surroundings it’s very dog friendly ..."
Gamekeepers cottage is set in beautiful surroundings it’s very dog friendly and the hot tub is great Very spacious for 3 adults and 2 dogs However I must point out that the oven was dirty along with cooking trays that where very greasy so both of these were not used The paint work was a bit tired needs a refresh

"Outstanding."
Beautiful setting and a lovely property. We definitely plan to go back.
-
"Gamekeepers Cottage was perfect for our week stay with our dog."
It was extremely comfortable all round and well-equipped. The garden room was much appreciated by us all and the added luxury of a hot tub was the icing on the cake. All in all….perfect!
-
"Beautiful place but cottage needs some tlc, TV in lounge too small for such a large room, fridge freezer needs updating, had to clean the side of it as was covered in food, bedroom had a nasty smell, bathroom needs simple hooks to hang clothes and some of shelves in shower to put items on instead of leaving them on the floor ."
-
"Such a beautiful set up, and our hosts had left really thoughtful gestures; from extra blankets and a towel for the dog, to a preheated hot tub, and the fire built ready to light on our arrival."
Thank you for such a lovely stay, it’s truly a beautiful spot and an unbelievably cosy cottage, we didn’t want to leave!
-
"The property was exactly as described online."
There was a mix up on arrival as the instructions sent us a different property. A call to Menai cottages resolved the issue and they assured me the instructions had been amended for future guests. Everything inside was absolutely lovely and clean and it’s obvious that the owners care about providing quality. Perfect outside space for dogs; all very secure and the use of the paddock was ideal. All in all, would re visit and would recommend.
-
"The property was excellent just a little disappointed about the aga not working could have had instructions for the cooker as well."
Other than that we had a great time the garden is safe having 3 dogs that was paramount. It is in a lovely position and the hot tub was fantastic we would like to return in the summer months
-
"A great cottage in a great location."
The cottage was spacious and very comfortable. Good shower. Enclosed garden ideal for the dogs, and the hot tub ideal for humans. Nice and out of the way. The staff I bumped into were very friendly. Ideally situated for Rhosneigr, Newborough Forest, South Stack, and big supermarkets
-
"Gamekeepers was wonderful, very comfortable, well equipped and spacious."
Great for the dogs too with tiled floors. Lovely log burner. The hot tub is a superb addition much needed after climbing Snowdon!
-
"What a great place to spend time."
Very comfortable, tasteful fit out, good levels of kitchen equipment, Lovely staff for the turnarounds. We'll definitely book again, and in the colder months so we get to play with the gnarly end of the Aga!
-
"This was a perfect base for exploring Anglesey."
The pictures don’t do it justice, it has beautiful surroundings and the drive up to the cottage is just lovely. We stayed for a week with two children, this cottage has everything you need including a kitchen with every utensil you could possible need. I imagine the wood fire would be lovely in the winter along with the beautiful blankets around the place. The sun room was amazing for watching the aircraft fly by from the RAF valley and the sunsets were beautiful. Hot tub is a great added extra. The only negative, if I had to have one, would be that the next doors garden runs along the back of the property so privacy could be an issue but we had nice neighbours and never felt this was a problem and wouldn’t put us off returning. We would love to spend another week in this amazing property.
-
"We had a lovely stay at Gamekeepers."
The property was really quiet and peaceful, felt very private. Good location to explore but a bit of a drive to anywhere if you’re planning to eat out. We did have to ask for extra towels as with showers and the hot tub we needed to wash them but then couldn’t get them dry due to the weather. Would be great if there was a tumble dryer or if the washing machine had drying facilities. We were given two extra though which was appreciated! Facilities were great and the property was very clean. We will definitely recommend.
-
"Absolutely loved the property , so comfortable and relaxing ."
Everything was to a high standard , our 3 dogs settled immediately which made the stay even better . Will definitely be returning , already looking at dates for our next visit !
-
"What an amazing property, so well located and of a high standard."
We loved being able to use the hot tub, a real bonus and being able to lounge in a super king bed with a tv added that extra bit of luxury. Looking forward to returning!
-
"Back yard needed sweeping and weeds sorted."
Hairs spotted on bathroom floor upon arrival with dust. Extra sanitary bags and small bin bags for bathroom would have been good. Directions for gamekeepers not accurate, led us to back of property beyond the skip/bin. Positives were all the cleaning stuff left and washing machine which we used ; small touches re dog basket, ice bag, coffee, milk etc, very much appreciated. Bedding and bed really comfortable, lounge, kitchen, shower very homely. A lovely setting ideal for exploring Anglesey. Would recommend.
-
"Wonderful cottage - spacious, clean, comfortable, attention to detail."
Could do with some more blinds/curtains, especially in the garden room. Garden - Good space however the Manor house garden wrapping around Gamekeepers was a problem for us - as we had 3 dogs and Manor house had 3 dogs. Manor house dogs would circle our garden barking at our dogs. Little privacy from people walking across Manor House garden through the paddocks. Plenty of room to split Manor house garden down the middle with a 6ft fence and a small picket at the bottom as to not ruin the view whilst leaving a walkway between the paddocks. Dog Walking paddock at entrance to complex was a saviour for us. Overall, would visit again with no dogs. Lovely getaway for couple or family. We'll situated. Lovely complex. Wonderful cottage.
-
"The holiday cottage was lovely, as described."
Very clean, spacious and well equipt. The property was tastefully decorated for Christmas with a lovely lit Christmas tree in the lounge and a festive table decoration in the kitchen. A welcome tray with local food products was also waiting for us on our arrival. The log burner and hot tub were wonderful especially as the weather during our stay was very wet and windy, both lovely to come back to after a bracing walk on one of the many fantastic dog friendly beaches.

"What a hidden gem!"
The Gamekeepers cottage is just one of the properties that make up the country estate of Plas Llechylched, steeped in history and so peaceful, the owners have restored the property so beautifully, our cottage was not only pristine but beautifully designed, the owners kindly provided a welcome tray which included Welsh cakes, Welsh milk and dog treats for my dog Basil. Its a perfect base to explore the whole of Anglesey but also to chill out in, beautiful furnishings and 5 star bedding! The boot room is a fabulous idea, perfect for dog leads, boots and coats. The garden room had just had a makeover from conservatory to a solid roof garden room, fabulous for relaxing whilst others enjoyed the hot tub, also great for morning coffee which I enjoyed whilst watching the aircraft take off from RAF Valley on Monday (no fly zone over the weekend). We only had a mini break but if it had been available for the rest of the week we would have stayed! The cottage is just wonderful, in fact all of the other properties on the estate are stunning. Don't hesitate to book...in fact be quick as I am booking more dates!

"What a beautiful cottage !"
The location amazing ! The grounds were stunning set in amongst other similar cottages On arrival everything met our expectations and above Cleanliness was exceptional Comfort was just perfect We, including the dog really enjoyed our stay There was nothing they hadn’t thought of for us to have the perfect week in Anglesey Very Useful up to date information welcome guide The hot tub was beautiful and temperature perfect on our first dip in the evening We have so recommended this place to our friends We would definitely come back !
-
"We had an absolutely fabulous time at Gamekeepers."
The accomodation is spot on and the surroundings are beautiful. We were pleasantly surprised on arrival as we weren't expecting the property to be as picturesque as It was. We had a small problem with the washing machine but the owner kept in regular contact and arranged it to repaired one day when it wouldn't disturb us. I couldn't fault it at all. We never go back to the same accomodation twice as we like to see new things all the time but will definitely make an exception and be staying again. Thanks again.
-
"Really enjoyed our stay, great facilities including a kitchen stocked with helpful utensils."
Lovely bedrooms and an enclosed garden with a hot tub. A very thoughtful tray of goodies on arrival. The owner also dealt with a query in a prompt and helpful manner. We had a great stay and will book again. The setting is really lovely too in a wall enclave with pretty gardens.
-
"A family getaway for a long weekend for my Dad’s 60th birthday; this beautiful cottage did not disappoint!"
The grounds are so pretty. The cottage is very spacious and we absolutely loved the conservatory space to watch the sunset every evening. Bonus of a hot tub and a log burner in the living room! Downside on the first night the hot tub was chilly but this was explained in the pack. The space is perfect for dogs with an enclosed garden so you don’t have to worry about them going off. Perfect location to explore Anglesey and we got lucky with the weather. Rhosneigr beach was a 10 minute drive. Newborough beach was a 20 minute drive. Would highly recommend this cottage! One small recommendation for the owners is to have mirrors in the bedroom but can’t fault anything else. Thanks for providing a space to make a memorable weekend!!
-
"Property finished to a very high standard and was very much as we were expecting, based on the listing."
Nice welcome pack and little extras such as dishwasher / washing machine tablets, tin foil, kitchen roll etc were a huge bonus! Would definitely recommend and would like to go back sometime. A small mirror in the bedroom would be handy but that was the only thing missing!
-
"Beautiful setting, all the facilities we needed at the Gamekeepers Cottage."
I will definitely book again. The email from Sykes giving directions was incorrect though so might be worth changing that - it referred to a green sign saying Rhosneigr Country Plas but the sign at the property is black and the property is called Plas Llechylched Holiday Cottages so we carried on past it for about a mile until we turned around and eventually decided to try the turning.
-
"We had a lovely break at Gamekeepers, the cottage and surroundings are beautiful."
The cottage was as expected from the photos. Despite the weather (mid Feb) with storms and gales we managed to get out and about the island. The local community and especially the community pub in the village the Iorwerth Arms (Matt and his team) made us expecially welcome. We Will definitely come back.
-
"Owners and Sykes are aware of the damp problem in the conservatory so check before you book its sorted if this would matter to you."
House itself is nice, lots of space. Hubby has complex health issues so we carry a lot of kit around and there was lots of space. Shame we could not use conservatory due to damp (he has cardiovascular issues) as the views are fab and we always book somewhere he can stay put in if not feeling good. Hey ho. Lots of nice features, wood burner, good central heating, very clean, well furnished, great kitchen kit, very easy parking, good welcome pack and feels incredibly covid safe - a lot of thought has gone into that. Privacy is an issue front and back. Hot tub is delightful but is overlooked at the back if visitors next door are using that space. Front yard is shared space with site office so some comings and goings. Sykes were good and responded really quickly when contacted.
-
"The cottages are not obvious from the road but as you turn off the road and up the drive you come into a courtyard with the property in front."
Our cottage, the Gamekeepers was to the left, with marked parking just outside but with loads of space. The cottage has very homely feel and did'nt take long to settle in.A nice open kitchen with plenty of room for dining and everything you need. The lounge was a good size but cozy with the log burner going. Both bedrooms are spacious with plenty of storage and very comfortable beds. The bathroom had plenty of room and nice walk in shower. It is a very rural and peaceful setting.Views from the conservatory and the hot tub are of open countryside, and are great for watching the sunset or the odd plane or helicopter at airport in the distance. The welcome pack was a nice touch and useful.(I would recommend taking a torch and a pair of binoculars). This is a great place for relaxing ,but also exploring the rest of Anglesey.
-
"The cottage was brilliant so much room and luxury but not in a way you were worried about dogs being there."
We very rarely used the lounge as there conservatory had great views and comfort. The welcome box was very well thought out even biscuits for the dogs. Only criticism was that the single beds were very narrow.
-
"Yes, on the listing it needs to be made much clearer that the garden is not private but surrounded by the large l shaped garden of the larger property adjoining."
We were lucky with neighbours who respected our privacy and didnt use that part of their garden while we were out and in the hot tub. This is the only downfall to this property.
-
"Lovely surroundings, private and definitely dog friendly."
Would definitely book again if I was to visit Anglesey
-
"Fantastic set in pleasant quite location with lots of places to visit within 20mins drive."
Would definitely recommend and revisit
-
"Beautiful peaceful location, Cottage very well equipped, spacious and very comfortable."
We loved the hot tub set in an enclosed garden with patio furniture and stunning views across fields. Would definitely recommend

Loved the decor of the cottage and all the added extras provided Instructions for the oven would’ve been useful :) Overall fabulous
-
"Had a fabulous stay."
Location was great. Great dog friendly pubs near by and lots of walking on the fantastic beaches. The cottage was amazing. Clean, cosy and having a hot tub was the added bonus which was really appreciated. Hope to return next year. Items included in welcome pack very practical with Covid precautions in mind. Thank you

"The Gamekeepers cottage has all you need and more and is a great place to explore Anglesey."
Great views over open fields from the secured garden and you can watch the jets taking off from RAF Valley in the distance. Will hopefully return.
