  • "We felt chilly in the evening as we weren’t able to adjust the heating."

There were only dog blankets in the en-suite bedroom. We didn’t bring our dog. These blankets were quite smelly. There were no recycling facilities only 1 big black bin outside Very difficult to use the TV we could only use iPlayer. We bought our own wood but didn’t use it as the TV was so close to the stove. The house was very clean and pleasant on our arrival but no hoover, only a small brush and shovel.

Thank you so much for your feedback and letting us know about the blankets - we will get them laundered immediately. I am sorry you couldn’t find the hoover - it was in the cupboard under the stairs. The smart TV instructions were also in the house instruction file. It is a shame you did not use the fire. Reassuringly, it has been used for years without an issue as the heat is not high enough at that level of the flue to affect the TV and it is on a hinged bracket allowing you to move away if required. For future guests - The heater controls are a +\- on the control panel. Lastly I apologise for the confusion regarding the bins - the waste company assured me the bins were to be swapped over from mixed waste to segregated waste bins for your stay Thank you for bringing it to our attention and I will chase this up. Thank you once again for your feedback and we hope you enjoyed your stay despite these issues. Best wishes Property Owner

The property

Nestled in the attractive harbour town of Abersoch is this dormer bungalow, 240 Cae Du.

Boasting a contemporary, open-plan design, this inviting retreat is perfect for families of six seeking a seaside escape to North Wales.

After parking up in the off-road parking space, step into your new home-from-home, directly into the open-plan living space, boasting a light and airy feel.

Allow the designated chef to become acquainted in the kitchen, home to all the essentials for preparing culinary delights, plus there’s even a washing machine so you can freshen up your wardrobe.

Serve up dinner at the dining table before retreating to the sofas for an evening of relaxation; warm your toes by the woodburning stove as you get together and choose a film on the Smart TV.

As the evening becomes darker, make yourself at home in one of the bedrooms, with the ground-floor providing a king-size bedroom with en-suite shower room, whilst upstairs there is a second kind-size and a twin with bunk beds, both neutrally presented.

When you’re ready to explore, pack up your seaside essentials and head to the local beaches, where you can rent boats to sail and surf boards to make the most of the stunning waters.

Before strolling across the harbour and along the shoreline, set out on foot to stock up on the necessities or have a bite to eat at the Fresh Bar & Grill or The Cove Abersoch.

Those keen golfers can tee off at Abersoch Golf Club, whilst those looking to get their steps in can wander around the Llyn Peninsula, providing stunning coastal views.

A charming place to visit is Criccieth, which has a beautiful beach, charming shops, cafes, and a castle that may be explored.

About the location

ABERSOCH

Pwllheli 6 miles.

The attractive harbour village of Abersoch is situated on the Llyn Peninsula in a region of Wales renowned for its outstanding scenery and varied walking. The village, situated between two glorious bays, is one of the most popular sailing venues in North Wales and important sailing regattas are held there throughout the summer months. Numerous shops cater for the tourist as well as pubs, restaurants and cafes. There are also opportunities for golfers as there is a course just outside the village and horse riding facilities are also available nearby. Watersports enthusiasts are also well catered for, particularly windsurfing, water skiing and dinghy sailing, not to mention renowned surfing at Port Neigwl (Hell’s Mouth). The long, sandy Abersoch Main Beach is probably the most popular beach in the area. There is a wonderful selection of beaches in the surrounding area of the Llyn Peninsula, including the beautiful and often quiet Porth Ceriad, with it's high cliffs, and sandy Porth Oer ("Whistling Sands"). Most of the coastline is owned by the National Trust and there are many remote bays, sandy beaches and cliffs, as well as wildlife havens like Bardsey Island to explore.
