  • "The bungalow was lovely kitchen has good quality fitments and pans and pots we did have to clean the small frying pan as it had grease in it and the bottom was dirty this was the only one we cleaned as we didn’t use any others."

The kitchen window frame needs a good clean looks like some smoke damage and plaster marks or paint splashes on it and a cobweb. And other parts of the bungalow lacks basic cleaning . But the bungalow is really good we think to good to be an holiday let.

  • "As you can see everything was brilliant other than the rear garden needed grass cutting and all shrubs cutting back ."

Snd couldn’t understand how there was dog poo in back garden when ni pets allowed . Other than this issue which I mentioned when I spoke to a lady when checking in who said it would be sorted . Which wasn’t during my stay

Sorry about the back garden, our gardener let us down at the last moment and there is no time during changeover to do more than a quick tidy up. I don't know who you spoke to when checking in but it wasn't me! I didn't know about the dog poo, we definitely haven't had anyone staying there with a dog and I've never seen stray dogs in the area. Glad everything else was ok and hope to see you back one day. Property Owner

  • "Having returned to this bungalow, for another enjoyable one week holiday, my wife and I cannot fault the property."

Generally, it appears that Visitors have respected the Bungalow ! Having had an accident ( last year ) upon leaving the property. which resulting in a visit to Hospital (3 - X-rays), Doctor Consultation, (3 - shoulder injections) Physio ( a number of sessions). The Property Owner has made Safety Modification to the Bungalow entrance which will benefit ALL Visitors with Disability / Mobility Issues and/or Problems. This was at the suggestion of our recommendations. WELL DONE to the Owner. This ACCIDENT could have been illiminated had SYKES undertaken a FULL HEALTH and SAFETY Inspection and Assesment before placing the Property onto their Register / Books prIor to advertising as available ! Hopefully, SYKES will have LEARNED LESSONS ! Full Marks, to the Property Owner, who listen and took positive actions following this issue .... WELL DONE ! We were disappionted to find the Large Kitchen Window Blind has not been replaced within the last year ? The Bungalow is very located. Hopefully we will return next year " God Willing "

  • "Home from home everything you could ever need nice garden to sit out in The only drawback is the driveway only big enough for a small car had to park on roadside very comfortable bed and chairs altogether a very comfotable bungalow."

Thank you for your lovely comments. We have tried to cut back the bushes down the side of the drive - might give a little more room! For future guests - there is always room for on road parking outside the bungalow. Property Owner

  • "The bungalow was beautiful and well appointed."

The beds and linen was of the highest quality. As I am a light sleeper, the Bedroom at the front, could really benefit from some Curtains as the street light made the room not dark. I purchased a dark face mask which solved it for me personally. This is by no means a criticism, but an observation. We had a really bad storm whilst there, that knocked the power off. Julie the owner had it sorted within a couple of hours. Beautiful little patio area at the rear, with an abundance of birds. At one time 4 little Robin's appeared. We would highly recommend this property and will definitely visit again at a later date . The Welcome pack was well received as was the lovely wine. THANKYOU Jule x

  • "The property had a real wow when we first got there."

Lovely furniture & decor, clean & tidy but after a while found a few issues The kitchen tap was wobbly making it difficult to use. We closed the curtains & blinds in the evening but next morning couldn't get the blind in the kitchen to open so it was left closed for our entire stay. The main bedroom could do with blackout blinds as the street lights shine in & the room doesn't go dark. If these issues were sorted it would be perfect. We enjoyed our stay over all. The property is in a great location, not far from all the local amenities.

Hi, we are glad you enjoyed your stay and we're sorry you had a few issues. In response to previous guests mentioning the light in the front bedroom I purchased a removeable black out blind to fix over the window - it should have been in the top draw of the chest under the window. I'll get the cleaner to check. I had no idea the tap in the kitchen was loose. We appreciate guests telling us of faults at the time so that we can arrange to have them fixed. I only knew of this through your feedback so have had no chance to fix it before the new guests arrived. The cleaner did mention that the kitchen blind was down and wouldn't go back up. It has now been removed but once again, no chance to replace it before the next guests arrived. Thank you for your kind comments about the property. We do our best to ensure that guests have everything they need during their stay. We look forward to seeing you again in the future. Property Owner

  • "We had a lovely 2-week stay in this property in January 2024."

The weather outside was bitterly cold but the cottage was very warm and snug. It was immaculately clean when we arrived and everything was in good working order, it's obviously been very well cared for and maintained. It had everything we could have wanted to make our stay comfortable and we'd highly recommend it to future visitors to the area!

Thank you so much for your lovely comments. We are really glad you enjoyed your stay and hope to see you back again soon. Property Owner

I.e. Ill fitting toilet seat. TV bracket falling off wall. Windows needed cleaning. Garden needed tidying. Lights didn't work in lounge. Bathroom towel rail didn't warm up. Kitchen worktop needed cleaning. Don't know if we will use Sykes again. Disappointed!!

  • "Beautiful property inside."

Very well appointed, with plenty of decorative additions, making it feel more homely. Everything you could need was included, and I excellent condition. Beautifully decorated. Could do with curtains at the bedroom windows, too much light from a nearby street light, and early morning sun. The gardens could certainly do with a tidy up, took away some of the pleasure in sitting out. Definitely still a 9 out of 10.

  • "We loved the bungalow, had everything we needed."

In the main bedroom which had so much space, light and beautiful furniture we would have loved to have had a kingsize or super king bed which would have added just a bit more comfort and there is definitely space for it, maybe something for the future? Everything was as advertised and location was great. Thank you.

Fantastic location with lots to do very near by. The property was equipped with everything we needed and to a high standard. We were fortunate to be the first guests at the property so everything was new. The welcome pack of tea, coffee, sugar, milk, cereal and even a bottle of wine was very much appreciated. The grandchildren loved sitting at the bar in the garden. Would love to stay again
