"Cottage was perfect, everything we needed for a week away!"
Cottage faces Rhuddlan castle and area was so peaceful! The cottage itself was perfect for us and our 2 dogs, enclosed back yard with astro turf so no muddy paw prints being dragged through! Beds where super comfy and the house was spotless I will definitely return!

"We will be booking again before new year as, we enjoyed it so much xX"

"We had a lovely week here, the property has everything we needed."
There were a couple of very minor points which we have left a note about for the owner, nothing to spoil anyone’s stay. We didn’t find the settees particularly comfortable but that is probably personal choice. The driveway is quite tight to get into for a larger car due to the angle of the gateway and other parked cars. The castle backdrop is lovely but the carpark is locked so you can’t park in there!

"Great cottage."
Fab location opposite the castle. Off street parking was a bonus. Lovely little garden to the front and rear of the property. Comfiest bed and bedding ever! Perfect for our visit. Thanks for having us!

"Enjoyed our short break at Riverdale, 2 good dog friendly pubs that serve food; The Kings Head does every day and The New Inn just Wednesday to Sunday both within a few minutes walk."
Also shops nearby and a lovely riverside walk for the dog first thing. The house is nice inside and has everything you need although we found the sofas not the most comfortable and the living room curtains could do with attention, we found them difficult to close but that is just personal preference and overall we were very pleased. A final point, it’s a good job there is a parking space with the property though at school start and finish times it’s a little manic! Would definitely recommend the property and the area Kevin, Fiona and Barney

"We had lovely week stay here to celebrate my sons 40th birthday in this area near the coast."
Cottage had everything we needed during our stay, our little dog settled in quick back garden was secure so couldn't escape, nice parking space attached too, kitchen well stocked as needed and bathroom clean and great shower too. Local supermarket down the road fast food and pub over the bridge, main street had all local takeaways within walking distance. Happy to stay here again.

"Lovely property."
Very clean and comfortable and amazing location being directly opposite Rhuddlan Castle (private parking was a bonus too!). Excellent communication from the hosts from start to finish. Really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend.

"We had a lovely time at Riverdale ."
I would definitely like to stop there again.. unfortunately we had to leave the morning before due to unforeseen circumstances. I would definitely recommend Riverdale. Thank you

"Great property with views across to the castle and the hills."
Useful to have a parking space attached to the cottage. Well equipped inside, with plenty of utensils in the kitchen for cooking. All the basics provided (toilet rolls, dishwasher tablets, foil, kitchen roll) and a nice welcome pack (tea, coffee, milk and Welsh cakes). Plenty of shops and supermarkets on the doorstep so easy to access all supplies, including additional wood for the wood burner. Also cafes, pubs and takeaways within walking distance if you don’t want to cook. Easy access to the coast, with all beaches dog friendly at this time of year. The dog loved it! The owner was very helpful with any queries. We will be back.

"Riverdale provided the perfect setting in which to explore North Wales."
The accommodation was wonderful and felt a home-from-home for the week; it had everything needed for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. Have already recommended to friends and family and we're hoping to return next year.

"Perfect for our weekend requirements."
Cosy and comfortable and in a nice setting. East walking access to shops, pub and takeaway! Very quaint and nicely detailed cottage.

"Was a gorgeous little cottage in the most amazing location."
The only thing missing is some comfy outdoor seating (there is a table and chairs). It was baking hot when there and as we had our pup with us we spent a little more time at the cottage than planned. Also a little more outdoor lighting at the back. Other than that was the perfect stay.

"A beautiful, comfortable home, full of character and facilities, in a stunning location."
Ideal as a base to explore further afield but also in a lovely town with many amenities in walking distance, supermarket, cafes, pubs, takeaways etc. Some lovely walks on the doorstep if you travel with your dogs. Looking forward to a return visit.
Thank you for your lovely feedback, we are so pleased you enjoyed your stay at the cottage, we would love to welcome you back in the near future. Property Owner

"Property is looking tired…."
Old furniture downstairs and decor. Curtains don’t even fit the windows properly. Needs re-Decorating. Bathroom needs basic items like a mirror over the wall sink to use. Towel rails etc…. When it came to the evening, we were sitting out the front with a glass of wine and all the local teenagers kept coming and going into the castle ruins opposite the cottage to buy illegal vapes etc…. Not a great atmosphere and for kids to see.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us feedback following your stay. The property was built in the 1800’s and is a stone built cottage, we have renovated the property to keep the character in the cottage rather than loose it’s historic charm by modernising it. The photos on our advert were taken in June 2023. There is a 6ft mirror over the bath and a make up mirror in the bathroom along with a heated towel rail next to the sink to keep towels warm when using the bath or shower. Unfortunately the castle grounds are not under our control, we have not had any previous issues raised but we will speak with local neighbours. Thanks again Ben Property Owner
