"The cottage was very homely and had all you could need for a week's stay."
However, the noise from the road in front of the house and the quarry behind the house was a bother. I feel the fact that the quarry is active day and night should have been mentioned in the description. It is not possible to drown out the noise if you have doors or windows open, and I was visiting in June so it was warm. For me this was a big drawback as I value peace and quiet, it's part of why I like to go away.

"We had a great stay at miners cottage."
Weather wasn't the best and rained everyday. We drove a few miles out each day where is wasn't raining.
Double bedroom was cold during the night and morning. The electric heater always read 23.5c but this was due to being on the fire chimney wall. This was stopping the eclectic fire turning it's self on. The room was around 15 and 16c.
No Mop or bucket. With taken a dog and the wet weather you would expect to be able to clean and wet mess on the floors but was unable to do so.
If the above was addressed then we would 100% stay again.
Part from that there was no other issues and it was a nice stay.
Thank you for your feedback, glad you had a great stay at Miners Cottage.
The Electric heater had unfortunately malfunctioned on the control panel, so this was replaced and now working correctly.{ Being on the chimney wall has never interfered with thermostat as it is at opposite end]
A mop and bucket has now been supplied for our wet furry friends.
We hope you return to stay at Miners Cottage.

"The cottage was perfect!"
It's in a great location so easy to access all areas of Snowdonia. It had everything we needed and we were very grateful of the milk, bread and cakes left for us especially as it was a Sunday. We would definitely stay there again. Thank you!

"The cottage was well equipped and clean, very cosy and comfortable."
I spoke to the owner prior to arrival, she was most helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed the welcome goodies on arrival!
Although only about a mile from the local shop and pub, the cottage is set within the hills so it’s downhill to the local town but uphill back! Quite a quiet town but we walked down and enjoyed a lovely lunch in one of the cafes. A few amenities still closed or only doing restricted services due to Covid.
It rained everyday, and with being in the hills we got the worst of the weather so did venture out in the car most days to seek some drier weather.
The cottage is a great base for walking.

"A lovely week in Miner's Cottage in May."
We arrived in a downpour and were worried that we would be stuck indoors all week but we managed to 'chase the sun' and enjoyed some lovely days out at Betws-y-Coed, Portmadog, Beddgelert and Barmouth. The cottage itself was very well kept: the kitchen had everything you could need, the living room was very comfortable and warm and the beds were very comfortable. The decor was very sympathetic, and lots of lovely paintings and ornaments. The only niggle was that the towels provided could be more accomodating for the larger guest, especially with the bathroom being downstairs!! The only addition I would suggest is perhaps a clothes maiden, as we did get a bit soggy on a couple of occasions.
Thank you for a lovely stay!

"We had a lovely stay here with our dog."
The cottage is comfortable and the kitchen was really well equipped (we managed to cook a roast). It's well placed for going on lovely walks in Snowdonia, and the town has a couple of supermarkets which is really handy. The owners were really helpful too. Great holiday!

"Cottage is in a stunning place mountains back and front the views stunning."
cottage is well equipped, beds comfortable.
the only down side was the continuous noise from the quarry at the back. we come from industrial area with background noise but some could find it annoying
Thank you for your feedback. The cottage is one of a row of miners cottages, that had a once working mining/slate Quarry. To date the Quarry recycles slatethat the mines produced, mining and blasting long gone.
We have never found the Quarry to be intrusive or annoying when it is in use, certainly not continuous. It is part of the natural history of the slate caverns and the once mining industry.

"We had aa fabulous week at the Miner's Cottage."
It was a real home from home, very cosy and decorated in a quirky, stylish way with everything we needed. It was lovely to sit in the conservatory for meals and watching TV and it was light and warm in there even when it was pouring rain outside. It was pleasant surprise to find Netflix was available as well! The cottage was in a great location for walks, the steam train to Porthmadog and to visit the slate quarries. The Slate Mountain adventure was a highlight of our trip. Blaenau is a real authentic place with a very interesting history
and convenient shops for supplies. We also really enjoyed our meal at The Quarryman. Thank you for a great week.

"We all said we felt so relaxed when we got home, The cottage is wonderful, the views out of this world."
The weather was not our friend the first few days, but we went a hundred yards down the road to Zip World, now there's an experience.
You may wish to go to Barmouth a nice little seaside town, small fair to keep kids quite or do a spot of crabbing.
If like me you misspent your youth trainspotting then you will be in your element, the little trains of Wales are everywhere.
Loved every minute, You get a little welcome pack, co-op and mc colls are half a mile away in town.
Would thoroughly recommend it to anyone.
