The views from the cottage were spectacular! The welcome pack of coffee, tea, milk, biscuits and organic bacon was very much appreciated. To be able to stay on a working farm was such a privilege.

WOW! Definitely had the wow factor. Big picture windows, stunning view of the valley and mountains. Bright and airy rooms. I don't want to say too much more because you need to experience that feeling. We were fully self catering and I like to cook. Everything I needed was there. I even baked bread and made dough for Pizza. The family were lovely and very helpful and we were greeted by numerous farm dogs and cats. All friendly. It was the most peaceful place, with lots to do nearby and most courteous drivers on the lanes. I would swap that house with mine in a heart beat. Stunning, absolutely stunning.

It's also a brilliant location to explore from - just above Llanrwst for any shopping needs and a short drive to Betws y Coed and then into the mountains of Eryri. A big thank you to Caryl and David! As I said , a tiny detail but it is details like this that make a difference. We loved the welcome pack with the farm fresh eggs etc - a lovely touch. We had a brilliant weather and actually felt slightly disappointed that we couldn’t use the log burner!!! The location is excellent - we loved the views and our grandson enjoyed chatting to the cows/sheep/donkeys that popped by to say hello!! The farm dogs were very friendly especially Nel who got plenty of cuddles. It is also a great location for getting out and about - half an hour drive or less to a range of places and very close to Llanrwst, Betws-y-Coed and Snowdonia. The hosts left a recommended guide folder for things to do and places to eat out - very helpful. I’m not sure we will be able to back next year as we are restricted to certain times and it already seems booked up but we will look to book again. We have already recommended to several people. Eventhough is was on a working farm, we had complete privacy. The hosts had arranged for milk, butter, coffee and tea, as well as a local fruit cake, which we thought it was a nice touch. Our 3 year old and myself were in bed or the sofa with a horrible cold and didn't explore the area as much as we would've liked. The only thing I would improve would probably be the TV, only because of our personal experience as we were house bound. If we had a smart TV we could've logged in to streaming services. Would definitely recommend and we are already thinking of the next time we are going back.

I would highly recommend this cottage to anyone wanting to explore all this lovely area has to offer. We have a few future recommendations for consideration. Another comfy chair for the lounge area, there were six adults in our party, we found sitting in the middle of the large sofa on the edge of two cushions was not very comfortable. Having single zip linked bed in all rooms would give maximum flexibility, particularly if more than two of the party are not couples. The sofa bed does give other options but is not ideal as early risers have to pass through this room to reach the kitchen. The fridge was also on the small side for six adults. Not enough cutlery if you want to completely fill the dishwasher Lastly it says three cars on the internet, currently room for four Please note these are only observations, not criticisms as we had a lovely holiday. Llanrwst is a thriving market town which stands in the beautiful Conwy Valley, only four miles from picturesque Betws-y-Coed, known as the 'Gateway to Snowdonia' and which is North Wales's most popular inland resort. Surrounded by dense woodland and magnificent mountain country, this is a haven for walkers and outdoor enthusiasts alike. At Betws-y-Coed the River Conwy meets its three tributaries flowing from the west, and the beauty of the area is enhanced by cascading waterfalls, river pools and ancient bridges. Most famous of all are the magnificent Swallow Falls, situated where the Llugwy River hurls itself into a spectacular chasm. The village has shops, pubs, places to eat, miniature railway, a riverside golf course and the Woodland High Rope Activity Centre, and is home to The Snowdonia National Park Visitor Centre, as well as being the start of the beautiful Conwy Valley which leads to the coast and the lovely towns of Llandudno and Conwy.
