• "We have really enjoyed our stay at Breve Rest."

  This is a beautiful bungalow with all amenities provided. Lovely quiet setting handy for all places to see around us. Very comfortable and lovely and clean. Chris made us feel very welcome and rang to see that we were settling in. Amy the housemaid is a lovely lady too keeping everything lovely and clean. We are booking again for next year.   Hi Barrie and Chris. Thanks for your your generous feedback, patience and support whilst you were there.....despite the "adventures" you had! We very much appreciated your kindness and consideration when reporting issues at the property, and we acted upon them as soon as we could get engineers in to work on the problems. As a result (entirely) of your care and attention, I can report how we were able to improve things thanks to your feedback. (1) found and replaced a "dicky" water valve in the loft which was causing the "noise". (2) Replaced the mixer taps in the kitchen. (3) installed a water-pressure reducing-valve in the kitchen. (4) upgraded the TV and sound system. (5) installed a new aerial in the loft. These things may not have been resolved so quickly had it not been for your feedback!   Very clean on arrival with a kind welcome bottle of wine waiting for us. There was everything we needed in the beautiful bungalow. We found it very relaxing and quiet. The weather was lovely so we were able to sit outside for coffee in the morning. We will be happy to return there again sometime.

• "The property was a comfortable home from home with everything we needed,the well equipped kitchen, the relaxing lounge, the ensuite to the master bedroom, the well maintained gardens where we sat enjoying the early morning birdsong, the grip bars at the entrances and in the ensuite were especially appreciated by my husband who has poor mobility."

  The property was cleaned to a very high standard, the owner was very helpful ensuring we had all the information we required about the property and appliances we would be using. We would definitely holiday at Breve Rest again.

• "The property is very dated and uncomfortable."

  Only used double bed very soft . Bedding been washed so many times it was lumpy. Fan in the ensuite link into light and overran for about 10 mins noisy during the night. Nearly all kitchen cupboard doors were dropped or off their hindges. Towels so thin had to dry under electric fan in bathroom. Poor outside furniture. Inside fridge freezer rusty. Not a place I would return to. Only thing going for it was it location.

  Dear Mrs & Mr Corbett, We acknowledge receipt of your recent feedback, and apologise for our delayed response. We quite agree that ‘Breve Rest’ – with its more “traditional” style – is not a property that would appeal to everyone, but it is the case that a number of our guests do seem to be (at the very least) satisfied with it and have an enjoyable stay; and are happy to say so in their feedback......and some do return. We also note your “comments” and “observations”, and understand that you believe that you are trying to help us to improve both our “product” and “service”, and we very much welcome helpful and constructive feedback in order to be able to do that......”if we don’t know about it; we can’t fix it”! We were pleased to receive from yourselves a 100% scoring for ‘Cleanliness’, and I will certainly pass that on to Amy in the form of a commendation from you. Finally, we were sorry to hear that you would not even consider returning to ‘Breve Rest’ in the future, but sometimes we all have to “move on”. However, our biggest disappointment was your closing comment, that in your view – and you are absolutely entitled to share it – is that, in your opinion, “the only thing going for it (‘Breve Rest’) was its location”. • "What a fantastic bungalow I've stayed in a lot of holiday homes over the years all very good but this is the best."

  It was just perfect for my partner and myself very comfortable and that is important to both of us we are both disabled we will allways stay here when we are in North Wales. the grounds and the bungalow is very well maintained and spacious. We'll done to the owners for an excellent place you have. The location too is brilliant if anyone is looking for a place to stay in North Wales check this out you won't be disappointed. No one could ask for anything more than what is offered here

• "This is the second time we have stayed at the property and will keep an eye out for other dates that suit our time off."

  If you are looking for somewhere very modern this might not be the place for you, for us it was a home from home. It is clean and very comfortable; there are various TVs and seating areas and a well equipped kitchen and utility. We enjoyed visiting Conwy, Colwyn Bay, Rhos-on-Sea, Llandudno, Rhyl, Abergele and Pensarn.

• "Have just come home from a fortnight at Breve Rest and thought twice about leaving a review as don't want to broadcast what an absolute gem of a bungalow this is."

  We just want to keep it to ourselves as we love it so much. I defy anyone to find a more spotlessly clean bungalow in Abergele and I am so very particular in where I stay. There is everything there you could possibly need and more but is it being selfish to want it to ourselves?? To Mr and Mrs Jennings thank you once again for letting us stay and role on the next one!

• "This is not so much a cottage, more a large bungalow."

  A real home from home. One thing you did not mention which would be helpful is the provision for mobility problems. Grab handles on doors and in the bathrooms. Tv with Netflix, very useful in these days when DVDs have been removed. The owners are so helpful and make phone calls to check we don't have any problems. Highly recommended.

• "Accommodation was perfect."

  Home from home, clean, warm and everything was provided to an high standard. Welcome pack of wine, chocolates,tea, coffee and sugar was a nice gesture. The accommodation is situated in a beautiful position, close to local shops and within an hours drive of all the main attractions that mid and north wales has to offer. We were kept informed by Chris, the owner, at all stages and were welcomed into the accommodation by Pat who had done a fantastic job of getting the accommodation ready for us. Overall 10 out of 10.

  It spacious inside 2 good bathrooms. Parking for about 4 cars. Heating works very well just turn up thermostat.our bed was comfortable.wi fi works well.tv in lounge was good.their was tv,s in both bedrooms Kitchen had all you would expect good cooker and large fridge freezer and dish washer And microwave.tesco,s was just up the road easy to get to Llandudno conwy rhyl ECT The best holiday home we have ever rented

  Feel it would be better if they were all placed in one information folder. Bath sheets would have been nicer rather than smaller bath towels. This said the bungalow was warm and welcoming.

• "It was the perfect bungalow."

  Everything we needed was at the property. Including Wifi and Netflix. It was like home from home. It only takes 30 mins to Anglesey and 15 mins to Llandudno. A few minutes to Tesco add a couple more to the beach. Where you can walk and cycle, for miles, on a purpose built track. We were sad to leave the bungalow. It was so nice. We would recommend a stay there as the perfect location for visiting North Wales.
