"An absolutely charming property, in a stunning location."
The hosts were equally helpful and completely non intrusive, leaving you with total privacy. Their attention to detail is impeccable, leaving nothing to chance in ensuring you have the perfect stay. The property has everything you could require, with the exception of your food, drink and clothes. The bed and pillows were comfortable and high quality linen was also provided. Everything worked as it should and was very clean. I will definitely be staying again.

"Great base for touring and a lovely site but unfortunatey spoilt by Geese Poo EVERYWHERE."
House needs refreshed and updating. Staff very nice and helpful especially James.

"Great Location and base for our fishing trip."
The cottage was well equipped and comfortable. The Hosts were extremely friendly and helpful. The food and drink in the cafe was first class. Thoroughly enjoyable stay, would like to visit again. Many thanks

"We really enjoyed the holiday."
The site kitchen is next door where they serve lovely food and is very popular with passing motorists but there is plenty of car parking space and you have your own private space. The fishing site is very well maintained and there is sufficient space for everyone. Wonderfully quiet during the night and very comfortable beds

"Had a great stay for the second time."
The Internet was a bit hit and miss. You had to go upstairs to get reception. And the shower went hot and cold and wasn't very powerful. But the location is brilliant.

"We have had a lovely family stay."
Three of us in the cottage and four in their camper van on the same site. The cottage was excellent - everything that we expected was there. It was very clean and comfortable and James, the host, could not have been more friendly, welcoming and accommodating. Would highly recommend and would not hesitate to stay there again.

"An old property which has been tastefully renovated & with a modern kitchen & bathroom."
Comfortable, warm, & with great views over the fishing lakes & towards the hills. Although the listing mentions potential noise & aromas from the cafe next door, at no time did I notice either. The cafe itself does excellent food, & with breakfasts of that quality, why bother cooking yourself? Patchy wifi connection downstairs, but fine upstairs. However, this is a remote, rural location, so don't expect the kinds of speeds that you may be used to at home. A great location for a few days break, and I look forward to returning.

"Lack of photos left us doubtfull on whether to book but cottage and owners were first class."

"We had a lovely week away at the cottage."
Staff were very welcoming and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Facility provided everything you needed including a very large bowl of fresh fruit which was a lovely surprise. Will certainly will be returning next year. Oh forgot my husband enjoyed the excellent fishing

"It was great and we really enjoyed!"
Hopefully we will come again in future. The only problem was WiFi. We have no reception on our phone and WiFi was very very poor. Other than the internet issue, it was excellent!

"We had a brilliant week at the cottage."
Even the weather on the whole was kind to us. But even if it hadn’t been the cottage was so well equipped and spacious it would have been a pleasure to spend time in.The fishing was spot on, and wonderful walking in the forests just across the road. Plus a beautiful part of Wales to explore. Also Simon and his staff couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful. And the welcome bowl of fruit and two vases of flowers were the cherry on the cake.

-
"The holiday was better than expected."
The scenery was lovely.and the fishing was brilliant.two course lakes.and three trout lakes.unfortunately we only discovered the forest walks on the last night.would have liked to explore them more.as there is supposed to be crossbills and nightjars there. The accommodation was perfect.and the cafe was handy.

"WOW!!!"
what a place. It was quite superb. The cottage was very clean and comfortable. Fresh flowers, a bowl of fruit, loads of fresh clean towels, and what views looking out over the lakes and countryside. I am a landscape gardener and know how difficult it is to maintain this kind of appearance. The whole team work really hard and you can feel how important it is to them all. To be honest, we ate a fantastic breakfast in the cafe each morning and it set us up for a day of fishing. Am going back. We only have three words to say; FANTASTIC! FANTASTIC! FANTASTIC! Thank you Simon & Team!

"The cottage was in a very special place with the fishing on the door step."
There are a few issues in the cottage that require looking at 1 no dressing table and mirror in bed rooms 2 shower not very good. Otherwise the place was perfect.and the people on the ground running the show were very friendly and very helpful.

About the location
LLANDEGLA
Ruthin 7 miles; Llangollen 9 miles; Mold 10 miles.
The Denbighshire village of Llandegla lies on the banks of the River Alyn and is located in the heart of North Wales. It was established as a result of drovers moving their cattle from Wales to market in England, and later as a quarry workers' village. Located in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, it is bordered by the Clwydian range to the north and Llandegla Forest to the south. The famous Offa’s Dyke footpath bisects the village and the renowned Llandegla mountain bike centre is popular with cyclists of all abilities. The village offers a choice of pubs, as well as a village shop and Post Office. Several shops and cafes and numerous local activities including fishing, clay plate shooting and horse riding are nearby. The larger towns of Llangollen and Ruthin are a short drive away, and are well worth a visit for their extensive shops, restaurants and many historic/cultural sites.
