Can’t fault it at all, will definitely consider returning

  • "Property as listed."

Disappointed as the front lawn was not enclosed, and we kept trying to stop our dogs running into next door's garden when they needed to do their business! Felt this was not clear on the listing. Everything was provided, (other than a pizza slicer), but it lacked a homely feel. A nest of tables would have been ideal. Comfy beds, and ideal location for our visit to Anglesey. Directions to find the house were spot on - thank you! Recommend the 2 local pubs (The Valley hotel & The Bull) Also, Lee's Garden chinese takeaway was amazing!!

  • "The house was lovely,,,but we booked this house on your advert that said you had a completely fenced in garden and the pictures looked lovely for dogs, this was why I booked this holiday as we were taking 2 dogs, The only bit that was fenced in was a very small yard at the back of the house."

Where nobody would want to even sit in. The main garden was at the front was lovely but was not secure ..so we had to have the dogs on leads all the time. This was very misleading and I would not have booked this property if I had known.

  • "Careful entering the property as the step gives way under your feet."

Very minimal furniture downstairs. Kitchen lacking on enough equipment for a self catering holiday property. Upstairs the shower screen doesn't stop any water getting out of the bath. The beds are so uncomfortable, lumpy and bouncy. Pillows are flat as a pancake and hard. Property is pet friendly with a small paved back yard, however the main garden has a good sized lawn, but is not secure. So any dogs have the opportunity to go for a wander. Parking is fine if yo want to be about 100 meters from the property. Not ood for charging and electric car. We also found this property up for sale.

  • "Really nice clean house."

Excellent location and a pint of milk in the fridge for a brew when we arrived. My only real complaint/suggestion would be that the second double room is a bit on the small side, would be a better layout to have the double where the twin is and a single in the double room. Not really practical size for 2 adults. And a suggestion for those of us with dogs, a little fence across the front of the property for them to use the lawn unsupervised would be nice. Minor things really and couldn’t really fault the place, it’s well equipped and the knives in the kitchen were sharp and the pans were decent, a rarity in my experience of rental properties. We had a lovely week.

  • "Clean and tidy good for getting around the island."

Curtains needed at the windows especially the back as 4 spotlights on the pub carpark behind come on at dusk until 2am and light up the rooms. Plates need replacing as a lot are chipped. The grass needed cutting so could not use the garden. All the bins were full when we arrived so looked like the previous occupants had not put them out on the Tuesday. The right hand single bed near the window had been repaired by screwing 2 pieces of hardboard to the base and was very uncomfortable new mattresses needed on both the single beds as springs are coming through. . The hoover is still broken and this was mentioned in previous reviews so nothing done ! We had to use a brush for the floor and carpets . I hope some of these things are rectified soon for future holidaymakers

  • "Lovely location situated in an area where you can easily visit many different places around Anglesey and off the island to the mainland as well."

House was very clean and felt quite homely. The garden was a bit stark, maybe a couple of low maintenance potted plants (I would imagine the neighbours at No.2 wouldn't mind watering plants from time to time as they clearly love gardening), though large patio and grass area good for family. Neighbours were very friendly and approachable. One thing I would be mindful off is the entrance into where the parking and houses are is very easy to miss, until you get used to going back and forth. Overall, great stay, where we visiting plenty of beaches, local cafés, good walks, went on the trams and even popped to Dublin for the day - thank you!

  • "Really enjoyed our stay in this lovely house, was clean throughout and great location central to all areas of Anglesey."

The next door neighbour was friendly and nice local amenities, The Bull and Valley Hotel were both welcoming. My only tiny issue was that we found the vacuum cleaner to be broken when we came to use it (useable but it appeared that a part had been snapped off) Overall really happy and would love to book this property again ☺️

  • "On arrival during a heavy rain shower, we were unable to access the property as the key code had been changed and when we phoned the helpline number there was no reply."

Fortunately a neighbour was home and able to provide the owners phone number. He apologised for the omission and gave us the new code. However the neighbour advised that the last guests had had the same issue. The property was good with all we needed however the bathroom door along with several others, would not stay closed except when locked from inside and we had to make wedges to keep them still during the night when they were constantly knocking with the draughts from partly opened windows. There are shops and food outlets in the village and the property is well located for a stay in Anglesey. Overall we enjoyed the stay and would return.

  • "Lovely clean house in great position for exploring Anglesey."

As noted there is only one parking space next to the house but we always managed to find an extra space on the road outside. Only issue we had was the second double room had a bed that was too small and uncomfortable for 2 people. The grassed front garden is ideal for a dog although we have a beagle so couldn’t let her off as she would go for a wander down the street but again this wasn’t a problem as we were out all day visiting all the wonderful beaches nearby

  • "We had a great time."

Lovely house and was great for our dog. A brilliant base to explore Anglesey. Close to amenities and plenty of options for somewhere to eat - if you didn’t want to cook. Neighbours to this house were lovely - always asking if we were having a great time, making a fuss of our dog, and giving recommendations of things to see and do. Slight (very small things) - could do with a stronger hoover (we have a lab, so always like to hoover!) And only blinds on the windows so the sun was shining through first thing in the morning - but not a massive problem! We will be coming back. Thank you!!!

Hi Lisa, really nice to read your review and great to hear the neighbours giving some good local advice! We look forward to you coming again soon in the near future Property Owner

  • "Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Valley House."

It had everything I needed maybe for the exception of no television in any of the bedrooms. It was spotlessly clean and tidy. Where you park your car is about 50 / 100 yards away from the house and you cross in front of two other properties to get to the front door. The people next door are very friendly. The instructions say the house is the second on the left of the road you're guided to but be careful as its a slightly hidden "track" within seconds of the first road on the left. You have great access within a two minute walk to a Spar that is opened 24 hours and many great food restaurants including the wonderful Enoch's chippie. The beautiful Trearddur Bay is only a few minutes drive away and further on South Stack. I also used it as a good point to travel down either the West side and the East side and had picked out two beaches that I realised in the thirty odd years of visiting the island I hadn't been on. Just a couple of things for the owners to think about would be small litter bins for the bedrooms, a small nest of tables for the living room, maybe at the side of the two seater settee, as there was nowhere to put drinks except the floor. Also one or more fans. I was lucky to go the week in June when I had hot sunshine from morning till night and it did become quite unbearable at times. Fortunately I'd taken a bedside one (that I left behind in the cottage) which allowed me to get some sleep at nights. All in all a lovely place which I will definitely think about staying in again. Sykes did it again with providing a quality holiday home.

Hi Peter, Thanks for your detailed and good and informative review. Apologies you left your fan i was unaware and wasn’t reported that one was found, if you do come again drop a message and i’ll make sure there’s a replacement one ready for you! thanks again KR EB Property Owner

The owners have obviously worked hard to ensure you have a comfortable stay. It’s very bright and modern. A welcome pack would be nice, never stayed in a property when we haven’t had one. Valley has dog friendly places to eat and everything you need. Friendly neighbours. Would be good to note in the details of the property that the grassed area has steps leading down to it and also a drop that is not fenced off. Kitchen would benefit from a few more pieces of oven ware as it only has a couple of baking trays. Would definitely return here.

  • "Overall a nice roomy holiday cottage."

A couple of things that would make it better a coffee table in lounge or a side table. A shaving mirror in the bathroom as mirror on bathroom cabinet was way too high to look through. There was a large white rug by the fire which was not practical with a dog, We rolled it up and put it back down as we were leaving as we didnt want our dog to damage it.
