    Thanks for a lovely stay.

Thank you. So happy you had a lovely stay, enjoyed the cottage and all it has to offer, and that the EV charger, newly installed was useful! Property Owner

The hot tub was clean and all set up. The welcome pack was a lovely touch. The only downsides were: the smell of the main bathroom from the drains, the size of the shower in the shower room made it difficult to wash your hair but this wouldn’t put me off booking again.

Thanks for your really positive review and glad you enjoyed the hot tub! You'll be glad to hear the issue with the bathroom has been resolved, that's traditional properties not on the main drains occasional does for you! on the upside you get to be in a beautiful rural location. We as a family cannot wait to return! A massive thankyou to you, the owners! You really have thought of everything in order to give everyone a memorable stay!

The cottage is superb. A real home from home. Everything has been thought of and the property is very well equipped. The hot tub is a real plus too. The location is ideal for exploring the coast line as well as being secluded and peaceful. We are already devising a plan to visit again. Thanks for having us.

  • "Great, quiet, secure location, ideally positioned to travel to many tourist attractions."

Dogs loved the outdoor space. Bonus having the hot tub. Well equipped spacious kitchen, large dining table and two long sofa’s which was comfortable for the three of us. Main two bedrooms comfortable with great storage space. The two bathrooms are very small with limited space for turning and movement and would not suit those with mobility problems. Have made some suggestions directly with the owner regarding cleanliness issues and a couple of other things, who has been very responsive to them. Overall it is a lovely rental, needs some improvements here and there and is better suited to a small young family and/or 2 couples max because of the bathrooms.

  • "Thanks for a wonderful stay."

Sheer luxury and so well equipped we loved everything about it. The setting is so peaceful and idyllic and just perfect for a relaxing break. Our sausage dog loved it too and was safe in the gated garden. The property was perfectly accessible too as my parents have mobility issues so they were able to walk around the property and garden easily with no trip hazards. The location is great and we were able to get to all of our favourite places within a short drive. All in all we would highly recommend ⭐️

Thank you Gill for such lovely feedback. We are so pleased you and your party enjoyed your stay for both the 'sheer luxury' of the property and the' peaceful and idyllic' location. We certainly love it too! We would love to welcome you and your family and friends back to Pen Y Cefn some time in the future. Property Owner

One other issue which arose was amicably sorted out by the owners. Well presented property which we may well return to. Thanks to them for renting out a lovely family home which is ideal for family holidays

  • "Has the potential to be a lot better."

Pen Y Cefn has the most beautiful, private setting in a lovely part of North Wales but the owner really needs to address the cleaning and maintenance issues. This place was grubby, dusty and needed a deep clean.

Thank you for your very positive feedback on the setting and location of our much loved cottage As owners, we had already scheduled in a maintenance period in January/February 2023 to carry out a FRESHENING UP OF THE INTERIOR through repainting, and minor repairs, after a very busy booking season last year all through September, October, November and into December. We have in addition changed to a NEW CLEANING TEAM from a different provider for 2023 with an emphasis being placed on high standards of cleanliness every changeover. I am confident our much valued guests will appreciate these innovations for the new season of 2023. Property Owner

It had everything we needed (and more) for a relaxing break. Even the guy who came to check the hot-tub chemicals said it's the best place he visits! It was our first UK holiday in a long time, and also the first with our young dog who loved the freedom of the garden (and we didn't have to worry about her escaping).
