  • "Perfect place to stay for visiting Whitby and surrounding areas, cosy, well maintained and position couldn’t be better, short walk onto Cinder path and then flat walk straight into Whitby off the roads, ideal for dog walking."

Would definitely recommend this property and if visiting the area again we would stay here as it was so welcoming the Christmas tree was a lovely. Brian and Denise

  • "A smart and deceptively spacious property which would appear to have been refurbished very recently."

The double bed was comfy but we have to agree with a previous review that the sofas were less so. It is ideal for dog owners with its enclosed patio and proximity to the Cinder Track and the centre of Whitby. The owner kindly allowed us to arrive before 5 p.m.

Thanks for your positive feedback. Having taken a good look at the sofas we agree and have just replaced them with brand new ones. Thanks. Property Owner

  • "We had a lovely stay in this property which was conveniently situated to Whitby and many interesting and varied attractions in the area."

The house was well equipped for cooking meals. The furnishings were modern and very clean, and the whole property had a cosy feel. The size of the upstairs shower was a little tight but the water was hot at all times. The proximity to the Cinder Path meant we could walk easily in two directions and beyond from the property. It is a property that I would recommend to my family and friends.

  • "We had a lovely time at this cottage."

We were very happy with the amenities. The only problem was the two settees had seen better days. So much so that they were very uncomfortable to sit on. They really were the only spoiler for us. The cottage is so well situated for all the attractions in Whitby. We also went along to Scarborough Beach for the day. There were lots of attractions there for families it was lovely. We have a dog who had a great time on the detached and around town as it is so dog friendly.

Thank you for the positive feedback which we welcome. I'm sorry you found an issue with the seating. This hasn't been flagged as an issue before so were unawsre. we will take a look and see what we can do to improve the situation. Thanks again. Just an addition we've replaced the sofas with two brand new ones. Property Owner

  • "Immaculately clean, excellent location, everything you need is provided."

From a personnal aspect, thought the upstairs mattress too soft and would suggest blinds on the upstairs windows. Had a lovely stay and would be happy to return in the future.

No problems at all. Good location and parking was a definite advantage.

  • "Lovely accommodation, plenty of equipment for self catering."

Downstairs bedroom ideal with bathroom ( with walk in shower) ideal if mobility is an issue. Upstairs space also comfortable with lots of space and enough hanging and storage. The small garden is a suntrap, so nice to sit out with a cuppa or glass of wine, or sit sheltered from the sun under the tree. The location is great, with access to the main road which can take you to the seaside or countryside, also take a walk along the cinder track and admire the viaduct.
