The property itself was really nice. Everything you needed was there. The garden was excellent a good size, the only issue we had was the garden gate ,which had a gap underneath bottom of the gate, As we have a small Maltese dog ,which we felt he could have got under.but a workman close by was very helpful and provided bricks to put underneath, which was very helpful. Would Recommend this property

  • "Great little property; lovely garden and private parking, all secure!"

Accommodation was well equipped and heating and hot water in abundance! Clean and tidy... milk left in fridge (very handy) with tea and coffee etc. Only a few little issues, hence the 4*....sofa was like sitting on plank of wood, uncomfortable... although chair was comfy.... shower did not drain too well, needed mop and bucket to mop floor after every shower and slight smell from drains and gurgling from sink, thought it was external drain but that looked OK... fridge can be a little noisy being open plan! All in all great little place and well situated for air museum and Selby. Great place for fur baby, having secure and well kept garden. Could quite easily stay again!! Oh... and there is a hairdryer!!

Bed was comfortable and cottage was well equipped. BUT the heating and hot water wasn’t working for 4 days (three nights) which required three visits from the owner to get it functioning again. This was inconvenient to say the least as it’s cold this time of year. When I finally managed to have a shower the water went all over, no shower curtain and water overflows. Sofa is also very uncomfortable

  • "Pros: Spacious with a good sized garden."

Plenty of parking. Comfortable bed. Lovely area ideal for visiting York, Selby and Leeds. Cons: Unable to control the heating which meant it was cold when you needed it. Small fan heater was insufficient for the six of room.It needed a warning advising that the water was very hot. It could not be turned down in the shower and there was a danger of getting burnt. The washing machine rubber was dirty and covered in mildew. We tried to clean it but ended up taking laundry to my son's. On top of that the seating was the most uncomfortable we have ever known. My wife has a back problem and was in agony for most of our stay. The WiFi was weak and disappeared all together when other properties were occupied. Reading the comments book it appears that many if these complaints had been raised previously without any action being taken. A shame as it could have been an amazing stay.

  • "I found the cottage very well equipped & warm."

The bed was comfortable & sheets/ towels etc were clean & in good condition. The enclosed garden was a real bonus, ideal for pets. I was very pleased & grateful that the owners had gone to the trouble of putting Xmas decorations up & also leaving a bottle of wine & mince pies for me- very thoughtful & much appreciated! My only niggle is regarding the small sofa ( which appeared to be fairly new.) I found it extremely uncomfortable & after the first night I gave up & laid on the floor to watch TV. As my stay was over the Xmas period & all I wanted was to relax & sprawl out, that was very disappointing. In every other respect it was ideal & if not for the sofa I would definitely book again.

Owner does need to look at the drainage in the wet room and is aware of the problem. WiFi signal itself needs to be improved, the cottage must be too far from the router. Outdoor seating needs to be more comfortable, it's ok for occasional seating. Kettle very slow to boil. But apart from that this is a lovely place, fantastic garden, great location, will use again and recommend 100%
