  • "What a wonderful apartment to stay in for a well needed break."

It’s like a home from home and Ideal for visiting local friends and touring around the area and as a bonus we got to see the Chaloner St Market. Welcome basket was a lovely touch. Recommendation for Cookfellows, Tockets Mill Restaurant and the Fox Inn.

  • "This was an ideal holiday property for our base to explore North Yorkshire."

The comfort and homely features provided were excellent, clean and very tidy. The property was decorated that was easy on the eye, colour coordinated. There was comfort and with consideration and thought given to the tourist spending time there. The owner clearly took pride in providing such a lovely place for anyone to feel at home from home. We would have no hesitation in basing ourselves there again, when next exploring this area.

  • "In the details there is no mention of a dishwasher, so I nearly didn’t book, but there is dishwasher in the very airy kitchen."

The apartment was comfortable and relaxing , close to the centre of Guisborough but also very quiet.. Appreciated the lovely welcome pack and enjoyed the flowers. The permit parking was fairly easy during our stay. The photos do reflect the interior of the property. A lovely place to stay.

  • "We had a lovely stay here."

What a lovely property - the size of the rooms and their height added to the charm. Having an information folder on the history of the property was a nice touch. The styling of the property - a sophisticated modern traditional - made you feel comfortable while feeling spoiled at the same time. The fact that everything we could possibly have needed was catered for, made everything nice and easy. The area is great and it's fantastic to have some really nice eateries literally on the doorstep. Kim couldn't have been more helpful and was a great host - even leaving the most well stocked welcome basket I think we’ve ever seen! Would highly recommend staying here.

Thank you for your lovely review it’s much appreciated. I’m so pleased you had a lovely holiday. Thanks Kim Property Owner

  • "This was our second visit to N0 10 and once again it was outstanding."

We visit the area a number of times a year to visit family and friends and over the last 25 years have stayed at most of the areas hotels and holiday lets and this is, in our view, by far the best. The apartment is so comfortable and well apointed with everything you could need, stylish and instantly feels like home and with its location just off the main steeet is just ideal. It benifits from easy resedent parking too. Kim, owner, adds some nice touches, welcome pack, logs for the fire and makes you feel right at home. We stayed between Christmas and New Year and she added some great Christmas decorations and a Christmas Tree to make the holiday very special, we felt sad having to leave.

Thank you so much for your lovely review! I’m so glad you enjoyed your stay and look forward to welcoming you back. Property Owner

The welcome basket was much appreciated as were the fire supplies, although the apartment was plenty warm enough without it after the first night even on a cool November evening.

We thought a jack and Jill bathroom would be a good idea for the bedrooms, also in the bathroom a shower mat as we found it slippery, also a shelf and a hooks for clothes.

Thank you for your very useful feedback. I’ll sort out hooks and mat straight away. Thanks Kim Property Owner

  • "We spent a few thoroughly enjoyable nights at this splendid apartment."

The property is truly five star in terms decor, furnishings, comfortable beds and a wonderful welcome pack. Our host was friendly and thoughtful too in every aspect: from key collection, arranging parking permits and even providing fresh flowers and home grown tomatoes as a special touch on our arrival. Guisborough itself is a delightful little town, with a great selection of eateries and independent shops. The abbey is well worth a visit too. The location is great, as the fabulous Yorkshire coast is just a stones throw away, including quaint little Staithes, fabulous Whitby and beautiful Runswick Bay. Well worth visiting all of them. We will definitely return and would highly recommend to others looking for a special stay in a great little place.

We are so glad you and your family enjoyed staying with us. Thank you so much for your lovely feedback. You were only our second guests to visit our new apartment and your positive feedback means such a lot. We would love to see you again and look forward to your next visit. Property Owner

About the location

GUISBOROUGH

Saltburn-by-the-Sea 6 miles; Staithes 13 miles; Whitby 21 miles.

Guisborough is an attractive market town set in rural surroundings on the edge of the North York Moors National Park. Steeped in history, Guisborough is in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and the town's most notable feature is the beautiful ruined abbey, Gisborough Priory; standing in full glory, to its original height of 97 feet, the dramatic gothic east gable towers high over the market town and has become a well-known icon of the town. This bustling small town has twice-weekly market days, a good selection of eateries, excellent pubs and many independent shops. Around Guisborough sits the spectacular woodland of Guisborough Forest. Guisborough Forest & Walkway is situated in Pinchinthorpe on the outskirts of Guisborough at the northern end of the A173. It extends for 2.5 miles along part of the route followed by the old Guisborough Branch Railway line, heading west towards Nunthorpe, and east to Guisborough Forest, which is managed by Forest Enterprise. It is a gateway site to the North York Moors National Park and offers splendid views of Roseberry Topping to the south. Points of local interest include Highcliff Nab and Hanging Stone. Captain Cook 92s Monument is also within walking distance. The Cleveland Way and the Tees Link walks pass through Guisborough Forest, and are just two of the many walking routes easily accessible to visitors. This super country park has cycle trails, walking routes, bridleways, a trim trail and an easier sculpture trail. The park includes the Guisborough Walkway which runs along the former trackbed of the Middlesbrough to Whitby railway line. This includes a wetland area with boardwalks, woodlands and grasslands. You can also climb Highcliff Nab for fabulous views of Teeside and the coast. The park is also very popular with mountain bikers with a number of super trails to explore. There is an excellent visitor centre with full details of all the trails in the park. The long distant trail of the Cleveland Way passes close by, whilst nearby Roseberry Topping is well worth the climb to take in the spectacular views. An easy thirty minute drive brings you to the Heritage Coastline, with historic villages and resorts, including Staithes, Saltburn and Whitby to enjoy.
