"Our 2nd visit this year to this lovely cozy well equipped cottage."
It’s in such a beautiful location with walks from the door and close to the coast. We were blessed with some lovely warm sunny days and very clear nights for stargazing. We saw grouse, a weasel?, brown hares and deer on our walks. Just trying to work out dates to visit again next year. A big thank you to the owners.

We had fantastic weather so sat out in the garden every evening, great views and so relaxing.

"I think the cottage should be renamed Blackbird Cottage as there were so many of them in the garden serenading us, just lovely."
It was great to have a garden to sit in after a days walking and not many cottages have a garden, believe me I’ve looked. It’s a great little cottage in a pretty location with walks from the doorstep and of course a train station. We found a fabulous butcher called Ford Henry in Glaisdale, great quality produce and a lovely guy. I really don’t want to be too positive about the cottage as we want to come back and I don’t want everyone else booking it

"The cottage was lovely and comfortable as described."
However the sitting out, garden area was a disappointment. We always choose accommodation with a comfortable sitting out area even if it's only a small one. This was overgrown, weeds, nettles etc it looked like it still had all the winter debris, proper unkept. There were no seating cushions as shown in photograph and my clothes got dirty when I sat down. A real disappointment especially as the cottage was so nice.
Danby village and local pubs great.
Thankyou for your feedback, it's much appreciated and gives us the opportunity to keep improving.

"A cosy well equipped cottage perfect for two in a great location - meaning we could enjoy great walks from the door."
The email and phone call from the owner before our holiday was extremely helpful and at the cottage there was ample information about facilities (at the cottage and locally) as well as leaflets re things to do - including in our case a helpful brochure of local walks from the National Park Information Centre. One thing I would note however was that the smoke detector seemed extremely sensitive - it went off with alarming regularity every time I used the grill. Other than that we had a great holiday in a lovely cottage in a lovely spot on the Moors.

It was also in a very quiet location giving us a good nights sleep after our excertions. My only criticism would be the checking in and checking out times which I know are dictated by the current pandemic but a little bit of adjustment to 4pm in and 10am out would make all the difference.
