Five minute walk into town and harbour. . Downstairs bedroom perfect for my elderly mum and plenty of room for her to manoeuvre her Walker. • "Great Location, close to beach (ideal as the property in the middle of North and South beach)."

It is very close to town center, and lots of activities available for children of all ages. overall the property have lots of space but little uncomfortable as the shower trays are too small and some of the showers doesn't work well. Most rooms have en-suite, but the common bathroom don't have lock and the sink have no mixer tap.

  • "A lovely large property for a family get together in a great location with the bonus of parking for 4 cars."

It needs a good clean, especially high up, and on handover days particular attention should be paid to the bathrooms, kitchen and dining area as we cleaned these ourselves before use. The beds were not very comfortable as the mattresses were very thin and the whole house is in need of updating. I feel it is expensive considering the condition of some of the furnishings.

Thank you for your feedback and we are sorry to hear of your disappointment with the property. The property has been deep cleaned over the winter and is cleaned throughout at every changeover. We did speak to you when we assisted when your daughter had shut herself in one of the rooms, if you had mentioned any issues at this stage, we would have been more than happy to arrange either a second clean and or addressed anything in particular for you We do pride ourselves on ensuring all our guests have a lovely stay and the website photos are a true reflection of the property. Thank you again for your comments Property Owner

  • "Lovely clean house with tons of character."

The pictures cannot convey how big this house actually is, it is massive. You can see the sea from the front and side bedrooms. Lots of towels, and all you can ask for in the kitchen. We were having a family get together so it was the perfect house just to relax in, and the living room on the first floor was a very nice touch. We managed to squeeze five cars onto the parking bay, although there were marking for only four. The neighbors are very friendly, and it is just a 5 minute walk to the sea.

  • "On arrival we found that the cleaner had forgotten to clean inside the fridge."

We informed the owner who is very approachable and helpful. I am sure this oversight will not happen again. The rest of the house was very clean and tidy. My family get together comprised 16 adults, 2 children, 1 baby and two dogs. Everyone agreed they would like to stay at Ryburn Lodge again. The property is accurately described and is a very comfortable house with ample cutlery, crockery and glasses for large parties. The two lounges are very comfortable and all bedrooms are as described with spare blankets for chilly nights. We had a wonderful stay and used the information in the guidebook provided to entertain the children ant nearby entertainment centres and do sight seeing at Danes Dyke, Bempton Cliffs, and Flamborough lighthouse. All in all Ryburn Lodge is an ideal house for a large family/friends get together and we’ll positioned for entertainment in Bridlington and or scenic walks to watch seabirds and seals.

  • "A group of 15 comprising keen board gamers and "normal" people had a most enjoyable week."

The place is in a nice location, close to a Tesco Express and three takeaway restaurants, although we were not too enamoured of the fish & chips place or the Chinese takeaway; then again, Bridlington does not want for takeaway restaurants, and the centre of town is only a 10 minute walk away. Many British seaside towns are noted for their faded grandeur so I was a bit worried that Ryburn Lodge might have "seen better days" but the place was well-maintained and nicely decorated. There was not enough parking for the 8 cars we rolled up in but this is mentioned on the property description so no complaints there. A kindly neighbour allowed us to park two cars in front of his garage so in the end only one of us had to park on the street, five minutes' walk away. There was a problem with the central heating on the first floor but this was promptly rectified. There are loads of things to do in Bridlington and surrounding areas, as outlined in the excellent "Welcome" booklet. On the constructive feedback front, some people said the towels could have been "a bit bigger and thicker". One person grumbled about the pillows lacking fluffiness. No one complained that the beds were uncomfortable but a couple of people would have liked nicer bed linen. Everyone's an interior designer these days ... The lighting in the dining room was "warm", which is fine for most things but terrible for playing board games so I went into town to Argos to get a couple of uplighters. I realise this is a very niche criticism :) Were it not for the fact that we like to go to a different place every year, we all agreed we would happily holiday at Ryburn Lodge - even those of us who can't quite get used to chips cooked in lard.

Many thanks for taking the time to leave us this thorough regarding all aspects of your stay and your recommendation of us to others. We do hope that you will stay with us again in the future. Kind Regarsd Alison Property Owner
