  • "We took the time to explore the detailed welcome pack provided by Jodie and Richard, which included a link to their cottages' dedicated website."

This resource was packed with valuable information and proved to be incredibly helpful, allowing us to have a relaxing and memorable week as we celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary. While we had done some research beforehand, the welcome pack introduced us to more of the local region than we would have discovered on our own. The property is amazing, and although parking is on the street, it was close enough to easily transport our belongings into the cottage without any hassle. The cottage is finished to an extremely high standard, but it was the little touches that stood out the most. Cooking was a pleasure, with an easy-to-use stovetop and oven. While the kitchen has a small fridge, there is also a full-sized fridge with a freezer in the utility area, which was perfect for storing our champagne and wine. Locally, the pub next door was very cosy and offered affordable meal options. The friendly locals, who could clearly tell we weren’t from the area, were welcoming and made us feel completely at ease. We also visited Whitby and Robin Hood’s Bay, both within an hour’s drive, as well as Castle Howard and Helmsley, which have some great shops to explore, even on weekdays. Anyone booking this property will not be disappointed

Thank you so much for your truly kind feedback, it was an absolute pleasure having you stay at the cottage especially on such a special occasion. We are so pleased you found our website and handbook helpful as we regularly update this to ensure our guests have the best possible experience. Thanks you for being really fantastic guests and we look forward to welcoming you again. Property Owner

  • "An amazing cottage in a fantastic location."

The cottage had everything we needed and more. The owners were so good in providing a high chair and travel cot which were both excellent, thank you. The cottage definately lived up to the expectations, comfy, warm and relaxing. The double bed is by far the most comfy we have ever slept in. The pub next door was definately worth the visits as was the pub in next village, we were spoiled for choice. Thank you for an amazing week away.

Thank you so much for your kind words! We are so happy to hear your feedback and that you had a wonderful stay. We hope you come to visit again soon. Property Owner
