  • "The cottage was good, but needed a few improvements."

For six people, six knives, spoons, forks and mugs are really not enough. To have to wash up, or use the dishwasher only a quarter full after just a cup of tea is not on. There was no socket or adapter to charge an electric toothbrush or razor. Owner said they had never been asked before before. We had a flood on the kitchen floor - water came in under the kitchen door during a heavy rain shower.

Looks small from the outside but it just keeps surprising you with more doors to other rooms. Can't wait to come back

Always room for improvement, sofa and chairs could do with higher backs for better comfort. Starter pack for fire to small.

  • "We really enjoyed our stay in Rose cottage, we found it was perfectly placed for visiting all of the attractions in the surrounding area and the 2 pubs (one with food) within a 5 min walk were perfect after our busy days out."

The cottage was beautifully kept and the owners really have thought of everything from the lovely welcome pack to the phone chargers, Bluetooth speakers, extra channels on the TV and doggy treats, I could go on! The whole place was really clean and well presented we really can't fault it.

Thanks for your positive and extensive review. We try and cover all bases for guests and the local area certainly helps. Property Owner

It was a great place to stay for the family; not far from central Scarborough and only a short run to Whitby. We would recommend this to any family.

  • "A beautifully presented cottage."

Well equipped with everything you need to cook any meal. The beds are comfortable and bedroom light and airie. Bus stop a minutes walk away so once we were parked the car stayed put all week. Could do with the back gated off as we were with the dog but the outlook was pleasant so not a great hardship as we had taken a long lead. The pub was welcoming and food was great too.

Thank you for your glowing review. Cloughton is a hidden gem accessible to so many local tourist attractions and locations. Property Owner

  • "Lovely comfortable cottage in a quaint village setting."

Close to Scarborough, Whitby, Robin Hood's Bay, the Cinder Track and beautiful North Yorkshire Moors. A washing machine would be a plus for longer family stays but manageable for shorter stays.

Thank you for your kind review. There's so many places to visit around the area. Property Owner
