  • "Spent a lovely week here, very comfortable and spacious property - 3 generations but so much room for everyone to relax in their own way after our days out."

Lovely large garden and such a peaceful place. Very well equipped everything you could possibly need is there. As a family we spend our days out discovering the local area and it was lovely to come back to a peaceful relaxing space.

So glad you had a good week! 10/10 for your cleaning/tidying too! See you again soon Debby Property Owner

  • "Holly Bank is a very clean and well equipped house."

We had 6 adults,3 young people and our family dog.All bedrooms were comfortable and and had lovely views of the garden or countryside.Good family bathroom and ensuite. The garden is beautiful and a dog could get out if left unattended. However we had no problem. As a family we like to cook and found the kitchen very well equipped which sometimes with rentals is unusual.Unlike some sanitized homes Holly Bank is a traditional house which we enjoyed very much.Just a thought, the welcome book could seriously do with updating and a Guest book for comments would be good.

Hi thank you for the feedback and leaving the house very tidy! I will have a look at the welcome book! Hope to see you again soon. Debby Property Owner

The house was splendid - spacious yet cosy, really well-equipped - and the garden perfect for lazing and practising football skills! We'd go back in a heartbeat.

  • "We loved our stay at Holly Bank."

The house is beautiful and has everything you need for a lovely relaxing week. The kitchen is very well-equipped too. We had 4 couples, 1 toddler, 1 baby and a dog and there was plenty of space and a bedroom for each couple. The garden is huge, great for dogs and kids (although be aware that a determined dog could escape). The village of Etton is so picturesque and quiet, lovely for a walk. Beverley has a good selection of cafes, restaurants, supermarkets, charity shops and even a doggy deli. Beverley Minster church is beautiful. We did day trips into York, Harrogate, Whitby and Bridlington, I would recommend Betty’s tea room! Thank you so much for welcoming us to your beautiful home!

  • "Lovely property and ideally situated to explore the area."

Would have preferred the cake as mentioned rather than a bottle of wine after a long journey. Would have been nice to have some milk on arrival. Mattress in main bedroom was a bit firm for us but you can’t please everyone. A few cobwebs but otherwise clean. Facilities excellent and loved our stay and would come again.

  • "We had a lovely week at Hollybank."

2 adults and 4 children, we had plenty of space and a huge garden to play in! Kitchen was very well equipped and we enjoyed a few bbqs in the garden as well. Etton is a beautiful quiet village, short drive to shops and supermarket. We found some lovely long sandy unspoilt beaches- Muddleton and Fraisthorpe were our favourite as when the tide is out the beaches are huge with plenty of space. Spurn head is worth a visit - about an hours drive, we saw lots of seals swimming! I wish we had booked a 2 week stay as there is lots to do in the area, even on a rainy day. We would love to come back!

  • "The house is stunning and in a beautiful village with friendly people."

Holly Bank has everything you could ever need including a washing machine and dryer and was lovely and clean throughout. There are nine beds and plenty of space for everyone to enjoy and relax. The back garden is enormous with an endless amount of wildlife to watch. We took our little dog and the only thing we found is that the back garden isn’t secure so our dog would have escaped given the chance. There is plenty of space to walk your dog through the village and stunning surrounding countryside. We would definitely like to visit again soon.

We stayed over Christmas and found everything we needed in the kitchen. Decor is beautiful with William Morris wallpaper and carefully chosen prints in each room. We loved the comfy beds, the fact that it was spotlessly clean throughout as well as the very festive and prettily decorated tree. The outside space is extensive and extremely well maintained and the village of Etton is picturesque with a wonderful pub. One of our best rentals ever - we’d love to come again.

  • "The house was very spacious, the five of us all had separate rooms and with a large kitchen , dining room and lounge it was never crowded."

The house was well equipped and there was a delightful extensive garden. Heating worked well and we even had a wood burner in the lounge. The position was ideal to explore Hull, Beverley and the Wolds although a little more signposting on the road might help with initial location. This was our first cottage stay and I think it has set the bar very high. I would recommend this property unreservedly.

In the country but still central to food stores etc. Lots of things going on that we could take the children too. Lovely big garden which allowed the children to run and play while under the watchful eyes of the adults who were enjoying the patio facilities.

  • "We had a fabulous holiday thank you to the owners."

A suggestion for arrival would be to have a larger and more colourful name which is visible from the road. If I hadn't got a picture of the property we would never have found it. This will help other guests arriving I'm sure. It says next to........ but we couldn't find that as we think it is hidden on the house that is covered in a beautiful climbing ivy. Everthing else was fantastic yes please to coming back. Will be booking soon. God bless.

  • "We loved the setting of Hollybank."

WE HAD A BIT OF DIFFICULTY FINDING THE COTTAGE but once we found it we were delighted with the cottage. It was lovely to find a delicious cake on the table and milk in the fridge so we could enjoy a cuppa on our arrival. We had everything we needed for a relaxing weekend with our family. The Garden was relaxing. Even the crockery was beautiful. There was only one issue which was the smell as we entered the house each time. Every house has it's individual smell and I'm not sure if it's just a normal smell or if the carpets need cleaning. Overall, we were very pleased with our stay and would not hesitate to stay again. Thank you very much
