As always cosy and welcoming. Welcome goodies delightful. Only things missing was where to put rubbish and recycling and could of done with a mop and bucket to cleanup when dogs had been in the garden.

  • "Had a lovely stay in this quirky time capsule of a cottage."

Great location not far from all the attractions, nice dog friendly pub right across the road. Super friendly host with great communication throughout. The welcome hospitality tray was a surprise and a delight and the addition of the sauna in the garden is a real bonus! Would happily stay again.

  • "We had a very happy week there."

Cottage was very warm and cosy. Welcoming tray was exceptionally good and the items within the cottage were the basis of interesting conversations. The shower was better than some 4 star hotel showers I have experienced. I liked the sauna too.

  • "An absolutely delightful cottage, located well for getting to other places."

The host was amazing, left a lovely little breakfast tray for our arrival and made contact in case we needed anything. The cottage was tastefully well decorated and the adornments were amazing, took me back to my teen years with the Jackie magazines and olivetti typewriter. It was well equipped with everything we needed. My first time with Sykes, well impressed with this accommodation.

  • "Fantastic stay at Cambridge Cottage!"

It’s a step back in time with so many nostalgic quirky bits and pieces…it was like revisiting my childhood :) Communication with the owners was top class, all necessary info was provided in advance by text and the thought and generosity that goes into the welcome pack really was on another level. The cottage is warm, cosy and comfortable. Plenty of hot water, a lovely open fire and good beds etc. If you choose to take advantage of the sauna in the summer house you won’t be disappointed, easy to operate infra-red type with music and lights as well :) Parking was fine right outside the cottage, we always found a space and never needed to use the pub car park over the road. As seasoned travellers who use all of the main holiday accomm booking platforms for stays throughout the UK, this was one of the most memorable trips in a while. It’s all positive and this really is down to the care and attention to detail from the owners, as well as the absolute originality of the cottage interior.
