  • "Loved the location and the quietness of the garden."

Parking is fine for two small cars and off the road. Really comfy and warm especially in the stormy weather. Well equipped for everything and our dog loved the garden. Just need to focus on fixing the side door as this was a problem on the holiday (easy to contact the owner and explained it was stiff). Tided in without having access to the front door made me feel uneasy. More information in the guidebook would be useful such as what bins to use for rubbish/recycle.I am sure overtime guests will add to the book also for walks etc. Survived without wi fi and went to the local charity shop for some DVDS. We look forward to another stay as overall its a lovely place to stay and see the area also.

Thank you for your feedback. Glad you enjoyed your stay the door issue has been resolved. I have replaced the front door key. WIFI been installed in next couple of weeks. Property Owner

  • "Lovely bungalow on a quiet street and only 1/2 mile from the cliffs near South Landing."

We had difficulty with the side door which was very stiff and difficult to lock or unlock. I could manage it once I discovered what to do but my wife really struggled. Strangely there was no key for the front door. Note that there is no broadband/wifi at this property.

Thankyou for your feedback regarding problems with the back door. The back has been fixed. I had no idea a front door key was missing till I read your review that has been resolved too. WIFI is now been installed in next couple of weeks. Property Owner

  • "When we first booked with Sykes wifi was featured as a benefit; nowadays it is expected so if not available it should be mentioned before booking."

There is little point in emailing check out instructions to guests staying in properties without wifi! Ample parking for three cars is a bit of a stretch and parking an average car is ok until you want to get out - take a look at the car parked outside the property on Street View and you'll see the angle. This is not the first time we've had a problem with car space at Sykes properties. The property itself is well-equipped and kept very tidy, the owner most helpful and the location excellent. We had a super time and hope it will become less popular before long so we can go again!

Thank you feed back well appreciated WIFI is going to be installed next couple of weeks glad you enjoyed your stay. Property Owner

About the location

FLAMBOROUGH

Bridlington 4 miles; Filey 7 miles; Scarborough 18 miles.

The pretty village of Flamborough occupies a superb setting, perched on a picturesque peninsula on the East Coast of Yorkshire, 4 miles from Bridlington. Housing traditional fishermen's cottages and a small selection of welcoming pubs and restaurants, Flamborough also has much to offer the rambler, historian and birdwatcher. There are spectacular cliffs, which form an eight mile stretch of Heritage coastline, and at Flamborough Head, stand two historic lighthouses, one of which is the oldest one in Britain, built in 1674. To the north of the village, the magnificent 400 feet high cliffs are home to one of the largest colonies of nesting sea birds in England. Discover the puffins at Bempton, follow the fascinating natural trails at South Landing and the wooded ravine at Danes Dyke, or explore the smugglers’ caves at North Landing. Enjoy a spot of fishing or a boat trip to explore the sea caves. Flamborough Head is a wonderful place for anyone who enjoys beautiful coastal scenery and bracing sea air.
