• "Had a lovely stay, accommodation was clean, modern and in a perfect location."

  Lots of surrounding walks to do. We stayed with our two children who both enjoyed a double bed to themselves! Walked into robin hoods bay every day for dinner. There is no garden but there’s a park and green next door and we were rarely in so was not a problem for us! Netflix on the tv was an added bonus too. Managed to see the Aurora from the top bedroom which was an added unexpected experience to our stay! Would definitely stay here again.

• "Property lovely and clean and well equipped."

  It does say garden but there isn’t one which wasn’t a problem for us but perhaps this should be taken off the listing TV in all bedrooms as well as lounge area. Had to reprogram the lounge area TV when we arrived as it was connected via Wi-Fi but managed to sort it Overall good value for money.

  Hi Dawn there is a small driveway with outside table and chairs for guest use at the opposite side of the property under lounge window , although not a garden as such yet we aim to make it one in the nr future. • "We had a fantastic stay at Maypole green ."

  We loved the cottage which was spotlessly clean , modern & warm . The bedrooms were all tastefully decorated & bathrooms modern with excellent showers & plenty of hot water . It had absolutely everything we needed for our weeks stay. The boot room in the hall was great for walking boots & bags . Netflix on the TV was an added bonus . Local pubs are all great with lovely food & drinks . Small shop & butchers close by . Easy access to Cinder Track , Cleveland way & Beach . Would definitely return . Thankyou

• "Fantastic property!"

  It was modern yet cosy and had everything we could possibly need. The owners left a wonderful welcome gift and made contact incase we needed them. Location was spot on with the pub and shop a short distance and perfect for a stroll into Robin Hood’s Bay. Loved it!

• "The cottage was spotlessly clean and in a great location."

  There were however a few things that let it down slightly. The top floor bedroom radiator wasn’t working till we realized that it needed bleeding …which we did and thankfully it warmed the room on the third night. The crockery and cutlery were in short supply as were the complete lack of serving dishes and spoons …not very elegant or easy serving a curry from a saucepan with a desert spoon. The seating arrangements for four was adequate but six would gave been impossible. Instructions for the electrical appliances would have been helpful too.

• "A lovely, clean, we'll eqiuiped cottage with all the comforts of home."

  Situated in the lovely village of Fylingthorpe, an easy 1 mile walk into Robin Hood's Bay. Within easy reach of many places, Whitby, Goathland, Staithes Runswick among others, all visited and many more. Hope to return in the not too distant future.

• "Lovely cottage in an area we love."

  Clever design and use of space, some minor niggles- some hair around on main bathroom floor including around the back of the toilet seat, no dishwasher, appears to accommodate six, we only took four, just as well as the dining table only accommodates four and limited storage space for clothing in the middle bedrooms. None of the above stopped us from having a wonderful time in our favourite holiday location and we always use Sykes for our initial holiday search.

  Hi, sorry to hear you found hairs in the bathroom we will have a word with the cleaner . We will take your feedback in to consideration , but there is 2 stools to use for the table ends also, we do hope this hasn’t put you off returning to maypole green in the future . • "What a lovely property, very clean and well set out."

  The bedrooms are nice and spacious too. The views from all of the rooms are outstanding. We loved watching the sun go down over the sea with a glass of wine, perfect. Our family had a great holiday and we will definitely be staying again.

• "What a wonderful place Maypole Green is."

  Located in walking distance to Robin Hood Bay and a short drive to Whitby. We came as a family and it was enjoyed by everyone. The house was spacious, had everything you would need and cleaned to a very high standard, which I can be very picky about. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend to friends and family ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
