  • "Small but perfectly formed, a modern, clean and generally comfortable property in a great location, near Hornsea for all the amenities and other destinations (like Spurn and Bempton) but without the crazy traffic and congestion you find towards Bridlington."

There's a couple of decent pubs for food within a few miles and a great farm shop. As a terraced house there's unsurprisingly a tiny amount of noise from the neighbours, but both sides were pleasant people. Parking out the front of the property is no problem either. We'd stay here again for sure.

  • "Really nice cottage, everything you need for a comfortable stay."

Bathroom needs a bit of attention but was very clean. Shower is quite powerful, plenty of hot water for a bath too. Would stay again .

  • "Everything was great as on my previous visit."

The addition of the full length mirror was very much appreciated. A++ Only negative is that on Sykes listing it still mentions the local pub which has been closed for over a year now. Not a problem for us as there are plenty of others not too far away but anyone staying for the first time might be disappointed.

Thank you so much Jill for staying with us again. It is such a shame about The Wrygarth Inn and we hope in time it will reopen. Thankfully we have two amazing other pubs, The Falcon & The Railway Inn, in close proximity. I will speak to Sykes to update the listing and hope in time it will reopen. We hope to welcome you back again in the future. Best wishes, Helen. Property Owner

  • "We stayed a few weeks at the cottage."

The fire makes it very warm and cosy. The area is lovely and quiet and isn’t far from the beach. Hornsea garden centre is close which has the best hash browns! The house is clean and well stocked. Helen and Carol kept us stocked up with wood. It has great internet and lovely views out the back. We really enjoyed our time there and won’t hesitate to go back.

Thank you so much for your feedback and kind words Hannah. We are pleased to hear you enjoyed your stay and hope to welcome you back again Property Owner

They’d thought of everything. Peaceful place. It only took 10 minutes to drive to Hornsea. We hadn’t taken shampoo or shower gel with us thinking it would be there. Only problem we had but not really a problem.

Thank you so much Barbara for your wonderful feedback, we are so pleased you had a lovely stay. We thought about providing toiletries but with it been a personal choice for many we decided not to. We really value your feedback and thank you once again. Property Owner

  • "This cottage was quite simply superb, definitely one of the best either of us have stayed in."

As well as the property being clean, comfy and well equipped everything was good quality and tastefully designed. There were lots of extras including the welcome pack and very little that could be improved, apart from maybe a full length mirror somewhere? I could happily move in and live there! It was also helpful to read what other people can recommend in the area (we added a couple ourselves) and we loved the peace and quiet and being able to park outside was a great bonus. Thank you!

Thank you so much Jill for your wonderful feedback. We are delighted to hear you enjoyed your stay and our cottage. That’s great feedback regarding a full length mirror and something we will certainly look to purchase and provide. Thank you once again. Property Owner

  • "This property is in a lovely quiet location for visiting most areas of the east coast."

Cosy, well equipped and well decorated. Bed was very comfortable. The weather was warm enough to not need the heating on while there, but its worth noting that you would have to clean out and make a solid fuel fire everyday in cold weather. The hot water is provided by immersion heater and was quite adequate. No problems parking even though it was on street. We would love to stay there again in the future.

  • "Had a lovely holiday at No 5 Main Street."

It was one of the best cottages we have being to. There was a High Standard of cleaniness and everything we needed and far more than at others Washing machine, chest freezer and lots of logs and coal you had the choice of using the coal fire or putting the radiators on. The cottage was much big than it looked in the photos. No shop as stated but Tesco is only about 2miles away at Hornsea which was a lovely drive. We found lots of walks and no bother on the country roads. Can certainly recommed the cottage 100%. Thank yous again for use of your cottage and for the welcome pack. Good Luke for the furture.
