  • "The cottage was clean, warm, comfortable and had beautiful views."

The location was lovely: it was quiet, brilliant for watching birds and just beautiful, as well as being fairly central for lots of interesting places. Although the weather left a bit to be desired, we really enjoyed our week.

  • "We had a lovely stay at Coopers Barn."

It had all the home comforts, beautifully furnished and well equipped. A perfect location for visits to Whitby, Scarborough,York, Pickering and a stones throw away from Grosmont and Goathland if you love the steam trains. The weather was kind to us so we were lucky to enjoy the beautiful surrounding countryside from the raised patio. We visited Coopers Barn in 2016 and so glad we were able to return. Definitely one of our favourite places.

Thank you so much for that lovely review so happy that you had a wonderful stay at Coopers Barn and we hope to see you again in the near future Property Owner

Exceptionally clean never been in a cottage I haven't had to start cleaning before. Items in cottage was like being at home I usually take everything with me down to dishwasher tablets and couldn't believe everything was supplied. Views beautiful and relaxing and quiet which we went for. The field for the dog to run in was fantastic and a real bonus. Take care driving on the narrow lane to and from the cottage as there is alot of wildlife, rabbits, partridge hedgehogs to be aware of. (and some crazy drivers) . A wonderful holiday for us and certainly be going back.

Stunning views over the valley & a great place to relax. Barn had everything you could possibly need, including good wi-fi and was spotless. Would definitely stay again. The only drawback for some may be that the barn is located on a single track road with no pavement, which runs for about a mile to the nearest village (Egton), so a car is essential for getting out and about.

We were welcomed personally and then left alone for the duration of our stay, although we were told to contact them at any time if a problem. We would certainly visit again but maybe in the Spring/summer due to its quite remote location as if the weather was bad (snow and ice), would make driving very difficult due to the narrow and winding roads to the cottage.
