  • "The property was perfect and cleaned to a very high standard."

The kitchen was well equipped with everything you could possibly need. The children loved the piano and the pool table and when weather permitted the garden. Would highly recommend for anyone with a large family, there was so much space for everyone. If I had one very minor criticism we would have liked more info on property and the surrounding area. For example we had a power cut and it took a while to find consumer unit so we could reset electrics.

Having stayed in many holiday cottages around the UK, Hall Garth is definitely the best one we have stayed in. Very spacious, well equipped, beautifully decorated, lots of outdoor space…….the list goes on. Highly recommended.

Lots of space for us all and we never felt crowded. Our trainee chef loved the fully equipped kitchen and we spent lots of family time sitting around the large kitchen dining table. Exceptionally well equipped, two dishwashers were well used, very clean. Everything we needed was provided. Spacious bedrooms and bathrooms, perfect.

  • "Absolutely beautiful and peaceful property."

The photos don’t do it justice. We had an amazing time, it catered for everyone as we were of a mixture of ages 20-77 Lovely meals in both dining areas and outside with the BBQ. Watching the sunsets, the hares hopping around and the chorus of the birds it was stunning. Easy access to the coast and Beverley, golf for the men, and crazy/foot golf just nearby. The races at Beverley also a great day out. All enquiries responded through the owner with detail. Great mini break to celebrate a birthday.

  • "The property exceeded all our expectations, which were already very high from the listing."

It was even bigger than we imagined and perfect for our family group of 12, celebrating a "significant" birthday. The standard of decor and equipment was exceptional, with all our needs catered for. The location was ideal, and we enjoyed watching the birds and animals around the house, as well light aircraft from the local airfield (where Amy Johnson was a member!).

The decor is stunning. The rooms are lovely. The kitchen is of outstanding quality. There was nothing to fault. We would happily stay again.

  • "A beautiful, high quality property for a family gathering with plenty of room to spread out."

The kitchen and utility areas are large and extremely well equipped with everything you would need - there are two washing machines, tumble dryers and dishwashers which were required with a group of six adults and 3 young children. All kitchen appliances, utensils, crockery, etc were high quality. Bedrooms and bathrooms were also excellent. A quiet location which allows easy access to the coast, Beverley, York, Flamborough Head and Hull. I would have no hesitation in recommending this property to friends.

  • "We had a wonderful time in your gorgeous house."

everyone from the youngest (5 year old) to the oldest (75 year old) had a great time. couldn`t fault the amount of crockery glassware and cooking utensils. Having 2 dishwashers made a lot of difference as there were 14 of us. finding our way around the house was fun and especially for children to go up one staircase and down the other!! If I could find one fault it would be no mirror in downstairs bedroom when drying hair, but not a problem. Thank you again for a lovely stay and only a 6 hour journey back which we considered not bad to N.Devon.

  • "What a wonderful property."

We were attending a christening at the minster in Beverly and this was our first opportunity to have the whole family together. The facilities of the property have been very thoughtfully chosen. The decor is welcoming and you immediately feel "at home". My family and I had a superb stay at Hall Garth, it's a pity we didn't have the entire week to fully appreciate the facilities and surrounding area.

The facilities and cleanliness of this property were outstanding and exceeded our expectations. The bedroom accommodation easily met our needs without compromise. Clearly the owners had put a lot of thought into the layout of the property and the equipment needed by a large party. A minor issue with the fire protection system was dealt with effectively by the owners who responded immediately. Great holiday, thanks.

To be fair it did not state that it was for disabled but we had assumed as it was groundfloor that it would at least be disabled friendly and I suspect others might do the same.

  • "Hall Garth is an amazing farmhouse just outside the village of Leven, and near to Beverley, in the beautiful East Riding of Yorkshire."

The farmhouse has been extensively and professionally renovated to the best standard of decor and equipment that we have enjoyed in any one of numerous luxury holiday rentals both in the UK and overseas. The owners and hosts, Katie and John, were extremely helpful and kind, even to the extent of installing a temporary second fridge and providing a kitchen mixer from their own farmhouse for the preparation of my 70th Birthday celebrations by the family. We had a delightful late summer week there with three generations of our family, visiting the beaches and going for walks along the stunning East Coast of Yorkshire. The beautiful market town of Beverley, with its ancient Minster and Saturday Market, makes for a good trip out, as does The Deep Aquarium in Hull, fish-and-chips in Hornsea, crabbing in Bridlington. Further afield, you will find the bustle of Scarborough, the splendour of the North York Moors, the breath-taking views of Flamborough Head, and the attractive, historic town of Whitby famous for its Goth culture and as the fictional location for Bram Stoker’s Dracula to terrorise Mina Murray in Britain!

  • "This is a wonderful welcoming and comfortable house."

It is ideal for adults and children alike. Everything is lovely and to a high standard. We especially loved the kitchen which was the hub of our stay, and the little sitting room just off was ideal for the children to escape to after a meal whilst we leisurely finished our coffees. The kitchen has everything that you could need. We had a mixture of weathers but still managed to get out and enjoy the BBQ area and the gardens. The front garden is ideal for rounders! The village shop has a wide selection of items if you run short. The little ones were fascinated by the light aircraft flying overhead to the nearby airfield, the harvesters in the fields and a buzzard that flew very low circling over the house in addition to the rabbits and pheasants on the front lawn. The only thing that I could suggest bringing is an adaptor plug should you use an electric toothbrush or an electric shaver.

  • "A beautiful house in stunning surroundings."

The house was spotlessly clean ,superbly furnished and decorated with more than enough cooking utensils,,crockery and cutlery and everything else you could possibly want. Our group ages ranged from 8-66 and even though there was plenty of space in the house for everyone we spent a lot of together time in the gorgeous kitchen or outside on the patio. We played games outside in the garden most evenings and spent our days visiting lots of different beaches around about, fishing at a local pool and the Minster and St Mary’s church in Beverly are well worth a visit.

  • "We had the most amazing holiday and the house was absolutely stunning, we didn't want to leave it."

It was really well furnished and very luxurious, the carpets all appeared brand new and every appliance in the kitchen was to a very high standard. It was pure luxury. We all had plenty of space with really large bedrooms and beautifully appointed bathrooms. As we were the first visitors to the house since Coronavirus virus erupted it was sad to arrive to find no games, books or things to do the in the area but completely understand why this was. As it was we didn't really leave the house anyway due to shielding etc, we had taken our 80 year old mother there for her birthday and therefore we wanted to protect her as much as possible, not that there was very much open to visit anyway. We did however make full use of the house whilst we were there which was amazing, we played rounders, ultimate frizbee, tennis, Mulkee, we went running down the lane to the small airport, we played lots of indoor games too, jigsaw puzzles, one day all the kids did a bake off which supplied us with fabulous puddings all week. We had one night where we all dressed up and used the formal dining room. We used the bbq a few nights too. There is nothing negative we could say about this house, we loved every minute of it. We would highly recommend to anyone thinking about it. The owners of the property were at the end of the phone if you needed anything and were very helpful. We rarely return to the same place as its a small world but we would certainly recommend to our friends to use this and I think we might return again on this occasion as it was so well appointed and to see the area properly. It really worked well for our family and everyone enjoyed it. Thank you so much.
