  The home was lovely and well situated could have done with a proper ironing board instead of tabletop, also due to staying for 2 weeks there was no change of bedding and towels we had to wash ourselves, also the owner was constantly texting us on rules even though it was already written in welcome pack and openly admitted she had been driving passed checking this made us feel very uncomfortable and unwanted and not trusted we would not stay here again due to this which is a shame as house was lovely

  I’m not surprised you haven’t mentioned the fact that you brought two dogs to Sea Mews without having the courtesy to check with me first that it would be ok. I texted you through the Sykes’ Owner App where they can also read messages and they have confirmed to me that I asked you if there was anything you needed to which you replied all was fine and you were having a lovely stay. I would have told you where to get a change of bedding and more towels if you had asked me. As for driving passed my own house, it happened to be last Tuesday night which was 12 nights into your stay which was when I saw you, purely by coincidence, going into Sea Mews with 2 dogs and not one as booked. When I took the bin in from the street I was rather concerned at the black bin liner half full of dog mess and the patch of grass that had been scratched up. The previous reviews on here speak volumes and indeed this weeks’ guests are on their fourth visit. I’m sorry you felt the last two days’ of your stay were marred but the fact is you were unhappy that I knew you had brought an extra dog without asking first. Previous guests who have brought a second dog have had the decency to ask first. We are dog lovers and whenever we go away with our dog we have to pay but I have never charged to bring a dog (or two) to Sea Mews. Perhaps on reflection, you will remember to enquire first about taking two dogs to someone’s holiday let and not just presume it’s ok. Sea Mews is a lovely house as you’ve said and it’s because of conscientious owners like us who try to provide nice properties to holiday in. I do hope you find an alternative house to holiday in next time but do please communicate your requirements when asked in future. Wishing you all the best, Cath Property Owner

• "The property was perfect , clean , warm and welcoming excellent location."

  Host friendly and very helpful. We enjoyed a safe / secure garden for the dog and we ate breakfast outside a number of times . We were provided with everything we needed during our stay . Due to the location I did not use my car once during the stay we ate at local restaurants and hired a beach chalet for the week - we had a lovely traditional seaside family holiday and will definitely be back

• "Had a fantastic holiday staying at Sea Mews."

  So well situated with a short walk into Town and only a few minutes walk from the beautiful beach. The property is modern, extremely comfortable, beautifully presented with a lovely sun trap garden/ patio - could not have asked for better.   The house is gorgeous, everything you need is there and a lovely garden (which our tortoise loved). In walking distance for food,the beach is practically on your doorstep. I can't recommend it enough. We can't wait to go back next year

  Owners were very nice. One of the cleanest properties we have been to. Normally we have a wipe around everywhere but didn’t need to here. Everything we needed was supplied. Beach is literally 3-4 mins away which was great for our dog, he loved it. Nice to have own parking space and decent sized garden. Would definitely stay again.

• "The property is in a quiet location two minutes from the sea."

  The house is very comfortable with good quality bedding and plenty of fluffy towels.The whole of the house was very clean and cared for. All kitchen and bathroom requirements,such as foil cling film and cleaning materials provided. The house has plenty of storage space.The ground floor utility was great for removing sandy boots after a good walk or for putting wet things straight in washer. All the rooms are comfortable light and airy with good quality furnishings and decor to ensure a relaxing stay. Our family ranges from six to seventy and we have stayed a number of times in different combinations and all had a lovely time. Cath the owner responds quickly to any little niggles and will offer suggestions on things to do. You are made to feel valued as a guest. For us a perfect place to enjoy a holiday in Bridlington whatever the season.

• "A perfectly formed 3 floor house, and sitting on the sofa you can see the sea."

  A couple of minutes and you are by the beach, walking into Bridlington itself is a pleasant stroll along the waterfront. A great location for beach holiday or from which to explore the area and Cath was on the end of the phone/messaging to answer any queries. Perfectly dog friendly with enclosed garden and the dog friendly beach close by. We visited all the local villages, York, Staithes, Robin Hoods Bay, Whitby and several other places.

• "Sea Mews is a warm, welcoming property, which is very tastefully decorated."

  A cosy sitting room, extremely spacious main bedroom with an excellent sea view, very comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen and a private garden, all in a quiet location, with the huge bonus of off-road parking yet so close to the sea. The beach is magnificent too! We had a wonderful holiday there and Catherine is extremely helpful with lots of local knowledge, but unobtrusive. We would love to return one day.

  Spotlessly clean,warm,comfortable,all mod cons with super comfortable beds.Ideally situated for south beach enclosed back garden with patio,lawn and seating.Downstairs utility room to clean up dogs or kids before going upstairs and the bonus of a off road private parking spot at the front door.The owners Nick and Cath are inobtrusive but will go the extra mile if you should need them and I thank them for the wine and chocs.

  Very peaceful. Easy walk to harbour & town centre - plenty of cafes to stop in! Very clean with all you need if you eat in. Seating & bed very comfy & garden great for our dog (also lovely seating area for the warmer months). We went later in year than normal but weather good. Owner very helpful & friendly & close by if required. Parking space a bonus. Chocolate & wine gratefully received!! Thank you. • "Definitely a 5 * property!"

  . Everything about Sea Mews is perfect and exceeds expectations for a rental property. Particularly worth noting are the quality of the towels and bedding as well as the benefit of parking in a seaside resort in the summer. Contact with the owner to arrange keys prior to arrival was easy and the added treat of a bottle of wine and chocolates was much appreciated. The garden has a picnic bench and 4 garden chairs and table so great for sitting out or eating although being so close to the beach that's where we tended to head for a walk along the prom. Anyone booking this property will not be disappointed.

• "Sea Mews What a comfortable well equipped holiday home."

  The little touches of chocolates and wine as a welcome gift, the lovely plants that made it a home for the week and the modern colourful and comfortable decor made this a home from home. The apartment is situated within five minutes of the beautiful south beach and promenade but also close to main roads leading to nearby attractions like Flamborough and Sewerby Hall. It s about fifteen minutes walk from the local railway station which we used for days out to Beverley and thanks to Cath for the recommendation of the theatre in Hull. We were never short of anything to do and really enjoyed staying in this quiet part of Bridlington.

  Parking easy and just over a 10 minute walk to the Railway station or Town Centre. Only about a minute from the beach, where, if you turn right, you can walk for 3 miles on the sand when the tide is out.

• "We thought this was one of the best places we’ve stayed in, very comfortable and lovely to come back to after a day out."

  The only comment would be that the two sinks in the bathrooms were very shallow and only allowed hand washing. Washing your hair (or your body) meant having to have a shower or bath. A glass recycling facility would be appreciated too. Thanks.

• "Had a absolutely wonderful stay at the Mews."

  Cath was ever so helpful. The property is beautiful, modern and comfortable. With everything you need. It would be suitable for families, couples and solo guests like myself self. Not suitable for people with walking difficulties or reduced mobility as it is set over 2floors. Very close to the beach, very quiet. Richie's cafe close to the property does nice meals, they are open to 11pm but stop serving meals at 6pm. Further in to Bridlington town centre ,about a 10 min walk, there other pubs that do meals. Overall had a lovely stay at the Mews, I will be recommending it to my friends and I will be returning.

  One lovely double room, with sea views, and a good sized twin room. The property is close to Bridlingtons South Beach, with facilities close by. There is a bathroom and a shower room, both with W.C.s and a utility room on the ground floor, with a nice enclosed garden at the back. It is dog friendly, and there is off road parking The owners live locally and are easily contactable if needed. Its a great place to stay for a week by the seaside!

  In an ideal location for the beach with a lovely sea view from the windows and a short walk into Bridlington enclosed garden is ideal for children or your dog.owners so welcoming and always available if you need to contact them would definitely recommend sea mews and will be booking again next year

• "Really lovely holiday home, great location and a nice roomy place."

  A couple of little niggles, while the kitchen is lovely and a good size it does lack any useful utensils to cook with (one flimsy plastic draining spoon is really not sufficient to make a meal with) Also while there were a couple of jigsaw puzzles provided there was not really anywhere to do them. We used the kitchen table to eat meals and the coffee table in the living room was not really suitable. The garden is lovely and secure but the items that are on the path are a little awkward to navigate (a large stone roller and the metal stand and umbrella) and these would be best moved to the garage or corner of the garden. That said, we had a lovely stay and we will book again.

• "Sea Mews is a beautiful and comfortable house."

  The beds are very comfortable. There was everything there you could possible need. Dog friendly and a garden that accommodates dog. The seafront is only a few yards from the house. South beach is nice and sandy. We were lucky to see two dolphins. Cath and Nick are lovely and ready to help with any issues you might have. Riche’s cafe-bar, is a great place to start the day with breakfast and a lovely view of the beach and ocean. Riche’s is also dog friendly. Will we be going again, YES!

• "We had a fabulously, relaxing week at Sea Mews."

  The location was perfect for us just a stone’s throw from a doggie beach, parking which is definitely a big bonus. The house is furnished to a high standard and holds everything you need. The garden was a little gem with lovely garden furniture. Can’t wait to go back and enjoy this lovely sunny property again. Cath you are the perfect host.

  Modern property with sea views, a lovely enclosed garden, with the beach literally on our doorstep. The property was exceptionally clean with excellent wifi, comfy beds and lots of added extras- a real home from home. We also received a lovely welcome pack. Cath was an outstanding host, both friendly and helpful, who went out her way to ensure our stay was enjoyable. One of the best holiday homes we have stayed in. Would highly recommend.

  All amenities within walking distance, from walks to pubs to places to eat. Perfect place to recharge the batteries. Lovely home from home and a bonus of a nice outside area too. Spoken to cath a couple of times and made us feel truley welcome. Will definitely be returning. Thankyou.

  Their are 2 large televisions with excellent picture and internet rounds off what is an excellent package for a wonderful holiday.The owner Cath Belt was most helpful and is a very pleasant and kind lady who went out of her way to make our stay memorable.Well done Cath and thank you for arranging for your friends to deliver a carrier bag full of new clothing to our home address after we had inadvertantly left it hung up behind one of apartments doors.
