  • "Lovely cottage in a very interesting area."

The off road parking is a welcome addition. The beds are very comfortable and we found it to be a quiet and peaceful location. We used the local fish and chip shop on our last evening. We would certainly recommend the cottage, and also stay there again, if in the area. Thank you very much for the welcoming tea and biscuits. Sally and John

  • "A super cottage so close to Haworth main street, cobbled and steep but so lovely with lots of cafes and individual shops, and the park nearby too, and all just a few minutes walk from the cottage."

The cottage was absolutely spotless and comfortable, pretty much home from home. Huge bonus is off road parking in the area with its own driveway, use of a shed (for bikes) if needed and a lovely garden with chairs and tables to use. The weather didn’t allow this for us, but a lovely space without a doubt. We didn’t cook, but a fully fitted equipped kitchen to use. Lovely little touches inside made it feel very welcoming. We used the front box room with hangers and chair to store our stuff, which worked really well. Tea, coffee & biscuits were a nice touch. Would use again if in the area, and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

We are overwhelmed with your comments Thank you it means a lot. This feedback helps us maintain the cottage to the highest of standards Regards Diane and Ian Property Owner

  • "Lovely cottage, very comfortable and homely, ideal for a couple or 3 people."

Great to have parking, just a short walk in to Haworth, very quiet area. We didn’t cook but it is set up good if you wanted to cook, The co-op is not far away for essentials. Had the best chippy a couple of doors from the cottage. Lovely food places in Haworth for eating out,Cobbles and clay and Pavé were our favourites. Thank you for having use, we will return in the future. Gary and Diane. Be aware that to walk into Haworth from the cottage it is a very steep hill, so not suitable for everyone.

  • "Comfortable cottage with the added advantage of off street parking."

We stayed as a couple and think if you had 4 adults it could be a bit tight if you were planning on eating in, for 2 it was perfect with a good shower. There is a new looking washing machine but no washing line or airer outside and as far as I could see no Launderette in the village. Haworth is a vibrant village with plenty of options for eating out. In the heart of Bronte Country with good local walks and of course the Bronte Parsonage Museum which is well worth a visit.

Thank you for your feedback, I have installed a washing line of which was necessary and was very appreciative of your comments Regards Diane and Ian Property Owner

  • "We've visited Howarth on many occasions."

This is one of the nicer cottages we have stayed in. Diane the owner was very friendly. On arrival the cottage was spotless. The living room had comfortable seating. There was plenty of room with a good television. The kitchen was stunning overlooking a lovely lawn. Just a few little things missing in the kitchen, a dish drainer on sink, oven gloves, colander, a washing line in the garden for people who stay for longer or travelling on and some pegs. The lovely neighbour next door loaned us a washing line. These are not a complaints just a few minor observations. There was a welcome pack of coffee, tea and biscuits. Washing up liquid provided too. The beds were very comfortable with fresh bedding. There was a small room in the front which was good to hang up clothes and keep cases in there. Generally keeping the other bedrooms uncluttered. Great bathroom with good shower. Towels and toilet rolls. There was shower gel and shampoo provided in a little pack. This is handy for people who might forget theirs. Last but not least the parking was a bonus. This cottage is a few minutes walk from the Main Street of Howarth the bus stops, and the lovely park. We would certainly recommend this property.

Thank you for your lovely compliments about myself and about The Robins. I really appreciate your comments and I have bought the items that were needed. Your review was accurate and I was overwhelmed. Regards Diane Property Owner

  • "A very comfortable cottage in convenient location."

Everything was spotlessly clean. Nice furnishings and decor we found the bed extremely comfortable the bedrooms could do with more hanging space or drawers this wasn't a problem for us as we used the small box room with the cot as a dressing room but if the cottage was at capacity clothes storage might be a challenge. It has two reasonable size bedrooms and the little box room proved very useful to keep everything tidy. Very good effecient shower and nice spacious bathroom. You have access to a large locking shed which would be ideal for a couple of bikes should you need it. The cottage is close to a good butchers shop which also sells fruit and veg and an excellent fish and chip shop which I highly recommend. A short level walk to the bottom of the main street in Haworth it's uphill from there on which might be something to consider for some people. We absolutely fell head over heels in love with Haworth and the moors are breathtaking. A couple of little things to mention to owners I would have liked to have more ovenware trays etc, a colander would be useful, also an outside washing line as there is a washer but no means to dry it and you don't want people putting washing on radiators. You have a great cottage with good outside space and the sign said "Mek thi' sen at 'ome we certainly did and thank you, we would highly recommend this holiday cottage.

Thank-you for your review. I will definitely take on board your much appreciated comments. I’m so glad you liked my sign I handmade, “Mek thi’ sen at ‘ome” And more so “ Am reyt cuffed tha did “ Regards Diane and Ian Property Owner

  • "The Robins is a lovely cottage and the location is perfect parking is great with its own driveway (not many have this down the street) the lounge is lovely and sofas are really comfy."

Kitchen is well equipped with everything you need to prepare meals if you didn't fancy eating out. The only slight criticism would be the beds are a little soft for our liking but that's just personal preference so don't let that put you off And the welcome Easter egg and card was a lovely touch, many thanks

Thank you so much for your honest feedback, also for taking the time to comment We appreciate the honesty Hope you enjoyed the chocolate Property Owner

About the location

HAWORTH

Skipton 13 miles; Hebden Bridge 8 miles.

The small village of Haworth was home to the famous Bronte sisters, who were inspired by the surrounding moorland to pen their novels, which have become classics of English Literature. Haworth is a village that time almost forgot, with its myriad of curiosity and antique shops, alleyways and cobbled streets creating a wonderful period atmosphere, all set against a framing backdrop of countryside famously described in the novel Wuthering Heights as wild, rugged and barren. Nearby, the famous Keighley and Worth Valley Railway, an authentic steam railway brought to prominence in the film The Railway Children, provides a lovely day out with a regular service to the old village of Oxenhope. The area abounds with popular places to visit, including the Bronte Parsonage Museum, East Riddlesden Hall, and the National Railway Museum in York. The market town of Skipton, often fondly regarded as the Gateway to the Yorkshire Dales, is just a short drive away, and also within reach are elegant Harrogate and vibrant Leeds and Manchester.
