  A great venue for a family gathering. The house is beautifully furnished & spotlessly clean. The hosts Lisa & Adi were super helpful and accommodating on our arrival. All in all could not have wished for a better location.

• "Fantastic property."

  Beautifully decorated throughout. Gorgeous garden which was fully secure for the dog. Superb hot tub area. Really comfortable beds. Very clean with a lovely kitchen area, plenty of fridge space for all the wine! Lovely and responsive property owners who left us cake and some eggs. All in all a great stay and would highly recommend.

• "An absolutely beautiful house!"

  We received such a warm welcome from Lisa and Adi with fresh eggs, cake and other lovely touches. Every room was absolutely gorgeous, the house was immaculate and so very cosy. We had a lovely family get together and really enjoyed our stay! The hot tub was amazing too! There was a bakery, butchers, shop and pubs within walking distance. Our dogs loved it and we would definitely recommend this property - it was perfect for us!

• "Had a fabulous week at Harford House."

  Amazing friendly.hosts met us on arrival. They went above and beyond helping organise birthday cake, balloons, and proseco on ice and even set it all up for our arrival in the spa room. Just amazing. Welcome pack was so thoughtful and really appreciated; milk, freshly baked bread, butter, fresh orange, coffee, biscuits, fudge and fresh eggs from the farm. Lovely surprise. The house was so clean, had everything you could wish for and fabulous decor ... came home with some good ideas for my own home!. Quality fixtures and fittings throughout and felt very homely. Great pet friendly garden and amazing spa room with hot tub, plenty spa towels and even had heaters for chilly nights. Location was just perfect;, local butchers, bakers, supermarket, chinese, pizza place and chip shop all on your doorstep and only 30 min ride to York, outlet shoppjng and lovely town Beverley, an hour to Pickering, Malton etc. Lovely garden centre 5 mns away to visit on a rainy day that catered for dogs and served lovely coffees. Pub across the road. So many lovely places to visit in the area. Highly recommended and we will definitely return. Xx

• "Lovely couple who have transformed their former residence into a tasteful holiday let."

  Nice setting for easy access to York, Beverley and coast. Always a personal thing but the mattresses were super super soft so much so I could feel the slats when I sat down on the bed. We all enjoyed our stay.

• "What a beautiful property!"

  Tastefully decorated, everything immaculately clean. We recieved a very generous welcome hamper with tasty treats and beverages. The owners are so friendly and great communication. Love the hot tub 'den' easy to sit and enjoy a drink and music whilst not being separated from those wanting to take a dip. Infant friendly, stair gate, cot and highchair. Only suggestion I would say is some plastic crockery and beakers for younger ones would be a good add on. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and sure will be making a return. Thank you so much.

• "What a fantastic place."

  Beautiful, well appointed, comfortable and private, with such a brilliantly huge and secure garden that the dogs and the children absolutely loved. The hosts were wonderful, their communication was excellent and they were even kind enough to provide some snacks as well as a gorgeous homemade lemon drizzle cake for our arrival! We feel very lucky to have enjoyed a few days here and would love to return at some point in the future. Thank you so much!

• "This house is beautiful in a lovely little village, we stayed for a weekend and didn't want to leave!"

  The hot tub area and facilities are fantastic, the hosts were very friendly and welcoming, they catered to every need. It's the special touches that madethe experience. I can't wait to come back already. I have friends asking to book too!

• "Strikingly attractive home that is immaculately presented inside and out."

  Comfortable furnishings all round and a spacious kitchen diner for family meals…..and it’s right across the road from a lovely country pub called ‘Ye Old Red Lion’ so what’s not to like?! The second pub in the village, the ‘Blacksmith’s Arms’, were even kind enough to arrange a Spain win in the Euro ‘24 final when the men headed along there to watch

• "We have just returned from the most amazing stay at Harford House; 10 of us to celebrate 60th birthdays and it was simply perfect in every way; attention to detail was awesome and so many extra little touches including flowers and cake; eggs and fizz."

  The owners should be so rightly proud of their beautiful home and our weekend was further enhanced (if possible) by the private catering company who operate from the village and supplied a fine dining black tie event for us on Saturday. • "The cottage was beautiful inside and out."

  The village the property is sustained in is lovely and people are very friendly. It has a pub serving food across the road, a local bakery, Chinese takeaway and convenience store. I would definitely recommend this cottage, and will most likely be booking again.

• "We had our whole family stay at Harford House."

  We honestly couldn’t have asked for more. The owners where so accommodating and kind, nothing was a bother and they went above and beyond for us, even leaving birthday cards for 2 family members, cake, fizz and beer. The property itself was outstanding, the rooms where immaculately clean and decorated to a very high standard. The outdoor area and hot tub room was perfect, we had our 2 little dogs with us who ran around out there all day. The location of the house is also perfect, pub just across the road which serves beautiful food, bakery, shop and takeaway all within 5 mins walking distance. Would highly recommend staying here, I’m certain we will visit again

  Lisa and Adi left a card, bottle of prosecco and a home made cake to help us celebrate my dad's 60th birthday which he absolutely loved. The property is beautiful and immaculate and the garden was just gorgeous to sit in and have a drink. Hot tub and outdoor den was fantastic. Location was great and opposite a lovely local pub, bakery an shops. Thanks again for a wonderful stay, we will definitely be rebooking for other special occasions to come!

• "The most gorgeous, comfortable stay for a weekend hen party!"

  We booked Harford House for a nine guest hen party and couldn’t be more thrilled with the property, Lisa and Adi were so kind and generous leaving delicious provisions, home baked bread, eggs from their farm and Prosecco which went down very well! The hot tub was a huge highlight for the party, and the house is beautiful, so well furnished with everything you need and more. Location is lovely with a little pub and shops nearby, and York a 40-minute taxi away! Could not recommend enough!

• "The place was just as beautiful in reality as the pictures."

  The owners have stunning taste! Every part of the house is immaculate and we can’t wait to come back! The finishing touches such as a freshly baked cake, farm eggs, fresh coffee all laid out for our arrival was just so lovely. We had a couple of queries & requests during our stay, which were immediately answered and responded to. The owners went above and beyond to make sure our every need was taken care of and I highly recommend this place.

• "This property is absolutely amazing."

  Beautifully presented and extremely well appointed. The welcome from Lisa & Adi was very warm and left us with a great welcome package including a bottle of pink Prosecco and a box of eggs from their hens. We particularly loved relaxing in the garden with a glass, a book and the dogs. The house was also a great base for visiting the many tourist locations.

• "We had such an amazing time spending my sisters 50th birthday here."

  The house is absoloutly gorgeous and the hosts can’t do enough for you. The little touches, freshly baked cake and eggs from their farm were so lovely. • "Wow! What anamazing property!"

  We stayed there for a family 80th birthday and the group ages were from 9 to 80. We had excellent communication from the owners prior to arriving and on arrival there were many lovely extra touches to make us feel welcome including a birthday card for the birthday girl and the fire had been lit to make arriving on such a rotten day much better!! The standard of the accommodation was amazing. We had searched really hard to find a property which accommodated 9 people and multiple dogs so were really pleased to have found Harford House. For anyone who isn't a dog owner you would never know dogs had been in there - it is spotless!! The rooms were all decorated to a very high standard. We spent the majority of time when we were in the house in the kitchen/dining area as it was a great social space for us all. The den was also a great space with the hot tub. Thank you so much for a memorable stay. We'd love to return.

  The pictures don't do it justice in terms of the size and how beautiful it is down to the small details. The welcome pack and cake were lovely.   The whole house is stunning, really well equipped and it’s clear that the owners have thought of every detail when renovating and decorating the property. The area itself is lovely, a few cosy little pubs nearby - the food at Ye Olde Red Lion is great. We will definitely be recommending Harford House to others!

• "Hartford House is amazing, I can'trecommend it enough."

  The owners have decorated it a very high standard. They have thought of everything for guest comfort, from a jar of dog treats to towels for hot tub. Their welcome gifts where outstanding and very generous. The rooms are very spacious, very comfortable beds and the open plan kitchen/dining room is where we spent most of our time, it's a really social and comfortable space with a beautiful fireplace. The garden is also beautiful, large and a separate enclosed space for dogs. The hot tub den is also amazing, a beautiful space to relax. The owners are lovely, really helpful and genuinely care about your stay. This is reflected in their attention to detail in furnishing this house and ensuring we had everything we wanted. We all loved it, I can't recommend it enough.

• "Thank you for such a welcoming home."

  We were here to celebrate an 80th and a 40th the house was perfect. The attention to detail surpasses our expectations even supplying fresh flowers coffee wine and delicious treats! Everything was of the best quality and we were impressed with the amount of logs provided for the fires. The hot tub area was very inviting and we had no problem with feeling cold with the heaters that were provided. We came with 4 dogs and the utility area provided us with all we needed to keep them clean in a very wet and muddy time! We would love to return in better weather to enjoy the outside area. Thank you for letting us stay in your wonderful home we will certainly be back!

• "What a beautiful big house styled lovely and all fresh bedding and towels perfectly situated in Holme upon spalding moore with everything you need to hand & pub that does good food steps away from house."

  Hot tub was enjoyed by some of my party - if i had to say anything i would say a barn door or something is needed for the bad weather as area is too large to heat Will revisit as enjoyed by all and Lisa & Adrian were great hosts

• "We had a brilliant stay over new year at Harford House."

  Beautiful building with lovely decorated rooms. the large open plan kitchen/dining room with open fire was the highlight! Hot tub outside and a cosy country pub literally across the road, what more could you want. Thanks again for a brilliant stay!
