  • "The downstairs with the terrace is well equipped, comfortable and a delightful space to spend time in."

We found the double bed ok but all of the single beds need new mattresses. The guests using these rooms were a 91 year old and a person with back problems. The bedrooms could do with an update overall as they’re not comfy and cosy like downstairs and let the property down. Excellent location for beach, park and shops.

The upstairs sink didn't drain very well, the restaurant downstairs has music on every other Friday night which is very loud and vibrates through the whole of the apartment.

  • "Sea-Glass Loft had noticeably deteriorated since our last stay there in July 2021."

Clearly needs a general renovation to fix things like holes and cracks in walls. Top bathroom basin drains very slowly. We had problems with the doorknob in small single bedroom (at one point door was closed and it took much effort to open it). Furthermore, when we arrived it was clear the weekly cleaning hadn't been fully done: the floor hadn't been hoovered. Cobwebs visible in corners of ceilings.

Thank you for leaving your feedback. As evidenced by many positive reviews The Sea Glass Loft prides itself on an excellent experience. It is frustrating as property owners to read a review that is left a month after a stay. Our welcome packet and letter CLEARLY identify contact information for us. Had we been aware of your concerns, our property manager would have been able to address them pretty much immediately. A historic property within a three minute walk from beach is bound to have cosmetic cracks in plaster and changes in humidity can have an impact on wooden doors "sticking." The cleanings are completed before new guests arrive and if something wasn't satisfactory we wish you had communicated that during your stay. We are sorry that you found your experience less than satisfying. Property Owner

  • "Spacious, well equipped property in excellent location."

Owners and property manager receptive and quick to respond to an issue we had with the washing machine. Although above a bar, noise was acceptable, one live act till midnight the rest of the week was fine. Slight downsides were no parking, and could really do with a second television (kids had to watch what grandad was watching) however we would definitely stay again.

So spacious , bright, stylish and clean . We had six adults in our party and with three sitting areas we had so much room for everyone to do their own thing ! ! We came on recommendation from our son and we were not disappointed . There are a lot of stairs in the property but with ages ranging from twenty four to eighty we managed fine. It was great to be up above and being able to watch the world go by from the many windows. Everything was so well organised and straightforward, with telephone number for the housekeeper if we needed help . Felt we were at home only better

We're a family of 6 adults plus dog, very spacious plenty of room for us all to spread out. Welcome treats of wine, cheese & crusty bread very kindly left by the owner. Hornsea is a little gem of a town, lots of independent shops, cafe's, the sea front is great for walks, there's a large park opposite the apartment, everything is within a 10 minute walk. The bar below wasn't too noisy just a couple of times we could hear the background beat of music, but other than that a great holiday enjoyed by all the family.

  • "First problem, we could not reach to see the Key Safe, one has to be at least 6ft to be able to work this."

As you know the bed was very high, no way would we be able to remove a mattress, if we could where would we put it, it would help the situation if there was a chair in the bedroom as no way could we sit on the bed for dressing. No dishcloth, no Dishwasher tablets. TV system was so difficult to sort, written instructions would have been very helpful. We loved Hornsea and had a happy week there.

1st time in 4 years of rental that key safe issue raised (Guests spoke to us on the phone from doorway and opened door while on phone). Property manager assisted with television in person and issue resolved. Property manager reimbursed guests for dishwasher tablets The Sea Glass Loft prides itself on high quality and good customer service. We respond to concerns in a timely manner, and usually resolve any unexpected issues quickly and efficiently. Christopher Heatley & Angliqu Wright Property Owner

  • "Wow, such a wonderful apartment."

If it was my home I would never rent it out. The sand room became a favourite of ours and 5 of us ended up sitting in there which was amusing as no one else was anywhere. Sleeps 7 and I can assure that there is ample room for 7. 2 amazing bathrooms and everything you would need in the kitchen. The pots and pans are of top quality and the staircase has made my imagination run riot. I realise nothing is quite finished yet but lovely velvet drapes with tie backs at the bend of the stairs would be a joy. Such a wonderful place. The stairs are very steep to get to the apartment but once there it is ideal. Hornsea has everything you need and the chippy that is left from the apartment and over the road is very good and highly recommended by us. Also the chippy by the prom, highly recommended. Haha we did not live on chips but I would have loved to. People so friendly and that goes long way to making a holiday perfect.

A lot bigger than it looked in the photos. For our family it was perfect with three spacious bedrooms and two sitting rooms. Also has a very nice kitchen fully equipped, two nice big bathrooms and a nice little terrace for summer evenings. All extremely clean. The location is also superb, in the commercial heart of Hornsea, with shops and supermarkets. Finally, the owners were very nice, with a welcoming bottle of cava, bread and cheese, and making themselves available full time, even when it wasn’t necessary because everything was perfect and we didn’t need any help.

Hull city is good to visit and not far away. There are other things to do and explore as well. The town itself is friendly with a good selection of local shops, cafes, fish & chips etc. The beach would be good for hot sunny days. We had wind and rain but still had a good holiday.

  • "Everything was great."

Only suggestions i can make are. please fix locks to bathroom doors as this can cause embarrassment. Master bedroom could do with a larger wardrobe and television is difficult to get to function properly. Maybe an " how to use manual" would be a bonus. Everything else was great especially the three lounges. We didn,t use the sofa bed as there were only five in our party but anyone with a large enough party could easily use a lounge as a bedroom as having two more gives ample daytime space. The bar/restaurant downstairs is a good local amenity. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

The location is excellent, with a massive park and lots of play equipment right across the road, the beach in walking distance, and a surprisingly wide choice of restaurants and takeaways practically right outside. A large Coop is also just 5 minutes walk down the road. Our only issue was with the restaurant/bar downstairs, which was quite noisy most nights until midnight and sometimes beyond (although we ate there twice and the food was very good!). We had a great holiday and our kids really enjoyed Hornsea.

Is located in the centre of town there's lots of restaurants, bars and cafes on the door step. The sea front is a five minute walk with a nice new prominade to take the dog and stretch your legs. Hornsea was better than I remembered it as a child. The place was unspoilt by big business and the independent shops were a pleasant sight. The house had all the amenities anyone would need. Although there were seven people and a dog, the house had so much space, everyone had room to themselves when required. A great location in the centre of town, yet the sea front was at the end of the road, a three minute walk away. Parking was free on the roadside nearby, and even when we arrived on the same day as The Hornsea Biking Festival, we still managed to get parked up. We were a bit dubious about booking it partly because there is no private parking and partly because it's over a pub/restaurant but we need not have worried on either count. Parking around the back street was always available and we hardly knew there was anything going on below us It's also ideally situated for town, sea and the mere. All in all a great time was had.
