• "John and Leslie the owners like to meet you and are close by should you need anything."

  We used this property as a base. But upon arrival it felt like a home from home and very cosy. I would highly recommend and we would be happy to stay again. The home would benefit from a larger tv if more sharing, but gave us what we needed.

  The house was extremely clean and had a homeliness feel about it. We were in a great position to go exploring, which made our stay even better. John and Leslie were very accommodating and we would definitely recommend using Llamedos as a base to stay when in York. Thank you for giving us some lovely memories.

Cosy, clean, comfy sofas and bed, enclosed dog friendly garden, excellent village location with good choice of food options, and superb base to walk directly out from or jump in the car to visit super beaches and seaside spots! Lovely welcome from John and Leslie for us and our our 2 dogs. We’ll be back ❤️

• "Llamedos is a home from home, a perfect base for exploring the Yorkshire coastline with good access to roads for all the best places including Whitby and Scarborough."

  The kitchen is very well equipped with everything you need and all good quality too. The fridge freezer is small but more than adequate for the supplies we needed. The hosts, John and Leslie, were very welcoming and had the cottage looking perfect for our arrival. The cottage has a lovely cosy lounge and two good sized bedrooms as well as a nice sized family bathroom. The recommendations for local pubs, along with some discount vouchers, were appreciated. We loved the fact that after a day exploring we could come back to Llamedos and walk to all the local amenities, including a well stocked local shop and various pubs and take aways.

• "The owners are very friendly and certainly go that extra mile to make your stay very comfortable."

  The house is spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Also they've provided a table and chairs outside for a spot of al fresco dining. Their's three pubs serving food just a short walk away and a well stocked co-op. I would have no hesitation in recommending this accommodation.

• "Excellent stay, helpful friendly hosts."

  Perfect little house for a base. We explored the area everyday and the 6 year old was in heaven! Local amenities spot on, chippy, Chinese and Co-op. Only cooked once in the house but had everything we needed ( maybe an extra set of cutlery though?). Our 1 larger dog , (not 2 small,) was happy outside in the garden and made friends with the neighbours!! Only told on arrival dogs not allowed upstairs which wasn’t a problem and I think he’d have slept outside if we had let him!! Maybe mention this on booking as some people have to have their dogs in the bedroom? John checked in on us and on hand for advice if we needed it. We adore Yorkshire and we will definitely be back.

• "The house was clean, comfortable and had plenty of household items in the bathroom and kitchen."

  It was in a perfect location to explore the surrounding areas as a couple with a child. John and Leslie were on hand if we needed anything and checked up on us throughout our stay. We recommended this house to our family and friends.

• "We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Llamedos, John and Leslie met us on arrival and explained everything we needed to know, and were the perfect hosts."

  The cottage was spotless and well presented, and ideally located within walking distance to the shop and pubs/eateries. It was centrally located for Scarborough, Bridlington and Filey. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend llamedos to family and friends as the stay was relaxing and enjoyable.

• "Lovely warm welcome from John and Leslie."

  The cottage had everything we needed for our stay.Comfy beds. We were lucky with the weather and the dogs loved the garden. The location is good for both Filey and Scarborough.

• "This is our second stay in Hunmanby."

  John and Lesley are lovely hosts and they take the trouble to come and greet their guests to ensure that they know about the heating, appliances, how to contact them if needed etc. The house is spotless and the beds are really comfortable. Oh, and the towels are lovely and fluffy. All in all, a great place to stay. Ann and Andrew

• "A very pleasant stay."

  John and Leslie greeted my wife and I on arrival to show us around Llamedos and should we have any problems at all, we were given their number to be able to contact them. Needless to say we had no problems whatsoever. We didn't want for anything during our stay as everything you would require was readily available. My only concern was the Wi-Fi initially, no problem, it was up to speed (as in fast), able to connect to my favourite channels on the smart tv already available and no problems connecting my laptop. Conclusion, we really enjoyed our stay. Llamedos is a true credit to John and Leslie. We will be back.

• "A comfortable place to stay in a good location for coastal towns Scarborough, Bridlington and Filey."

  Easy reach for facilities and local pubs. Cottage has two lovely bedrooms with comfortable beds with lovely linens including bath towels but could do with a few hooks or racks to hang them. Kitchen crockery a little sparse .

  We are glad you had a comfortable stay and you liked our beds and linens, but sorry to hear you thought the crockery was a little sparse? We have had families of four staying and it was more than adequate for them. We did say if there was anything you needed to let us know and we would have obliged if it was at all possible.We do try to please everyone and ask for suggestions.Thank you for leaving us a review as it helps us run our business more efficiently. • "We visited as a couple for a mid week break."

  What an amazing place to stay!! Close to all the places around the coast. Wildlife and amusements. Extremely clean, my other half has an allergy to dog hair and didn't sneeze once! Beds are really comfortable. If you enjoy a hot shower or bath...wow! and the towels are AMAZING. John and Leslie were the cherry on top! They gave us local knowledge on where to park/see/do and recommended the best places to eat on the door step! Pubs literally a stagger away..in 4 nights we couldn't do it all. Defiantly visiting again if they will have us.
