This delightful accommodation boasts beautiful views over Haworth Moors and is perfect for couples or small families to explore West Yorkshire and its magnitude of pretty towns and villages, as well as the North Yorkshire National Park.

Enter into the warmth of the cottage and be welcomed into the sitting room, where the exposed beams frame the traditional-style furnishings, complemented by a gas coal-effect fire, making a tranquil spot to return to at the end of an adventure-filled day.

Joining this space is the dining table, where you and your loved ones can gather to tuck into a home-cooked meal that was prepared in the well-equipped kitchen.

Afterwards, look forward to catching your rest in one of the two bedrooms; choose from a double bedroom with elegant furnishings and a single bedroom, ideally set up for a child.

Soak up the countryside surroundings further, by taking dining outdoors on the patio, where you can catch a glimpse of the sunset while soaking in the bubbling hot tub.

If you can tear yourself away from this quaint abode, head into the village of Oakworth, where you will find a plethora of amenities, including a choice of pubs and a shop for picking up the essentials.

Be sure to visit the nearby village of Haworth, famous for being the home of the Bronte sisters and the inspiration for many of their famous novels, as well as a variety of quaint eateries for refuelling before exploring the surrounding moorland.

Alternatively, head to Skipton, where you will find charming cobbled streets and the 12th-century castle, while further afield is the interesting old Calderdale town of Hebden Bridge with its hippy culture.

Where you’ll be staying

OAKWORTH

Haworth 1 mile; Skipton 10 miles.

Oakworth is a small Pennine village just a short drive from Haworth, overlooking the Worth Valley, made famous by the filming of the classic 1970 film version of E.E. Nesbitt's novel, The Railway Children. Besides its close proximity to Haworth and the moors, Oakworth has an attractive ornamental park, and is within easy reach of the town of Keighley. Nearby Haworth was home to the famous Bronte sisters, who were much-inspired by the surrounding moorland. Haworth has a myriad of curiosity and antique shops, alleyways and cobbled streets creating a wonderful period atmosphere, and all this against a backdrop of countryside famously described in the novel Wuthering Heights. Nearby, the famous Worth Valley Railway, an authentic steam railway brought to prominence in the film The Railway Children, makes a lovely day out, with a regular service to the old village of Oxenhope. The area is full of popular places to visit, including the Bronte Parsonage Museum, East Riddlesden Hall, and the Museum of Rail. The market town of Skipton, Gateway to the Yorkshire Dales, is just a short drive away, and also within reach are elegant Harrogate, and vibrant Leeds and Manchester.
