"Lovely cottage in a lovely location."
Loved looking out the French doors and watching the birds and sheep. On arrival it was lovely and warm, which was nice this time of year. The two risers and recliners chairs were a bonus to us as it made it easier for my elderly father to get up and out of the chair. If you go with children there are plenty of jigsaws, board games, lego and dvds. The only little thing I could suggest it could do with is a stand for the draining board and that's only because I prefer to wash up by hand instead of using the dishwasher. The saucepan set could do with looking at as the nonstick coating is quite scratched on some of them. I will be booking this cottage again in the near future.

Lovely cottage in a lovely spot. Would recommend and would stay again.
-
"Middlegate is a definitely one of the very best holiday accommodation we have stayed."
It was very comfortable and clean, the bungalow has everything you could ask, the owners left you to enjoy your holiday but were very friendly and there if you needed anything.
-
"Very happy indeed"
-
"This property was certainly everything you could have asked for."
Shower powerful too which I didn’t expect. Beds lovely and comfy and very cosy when heating or fire on. Unfortunately we were there when storm Babet hit and had to spend a day indoors. Plenty of room for 5 of us not to get on each others nerves. If I could have changed one thing about property it would be for TVs in bedrooms as 5 of us didn’t want to watch same thing in evenings. Thank god for the wifi. I would definitely come back here. So relaxing with sheep as your neighbours.

"The cottage is lovely and it's location is beautiful."
The cottage has everything you can think of for a comfortable stay and It's in a great location for York and the seaside towns of Whitby and Scarborough. There's lots to do within a few miles and really nice country pubs to eat and drink at. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to visit again in the future.
-
"Second stay, lovely cottage a real home from home."
Glad of the panel fencing covering the outer barb fence which was a concern on our first visit.
-

The property was spotless and very comfortable and very well equipped. The house is in a very peaceful and tranquil part of Yorkshire but is ideally situated if you wanted to explore further afield. There are lots of lovely restaurants and some fantastic artisan food shops in nearby Malton. Would highly recommend and hope to visit again soon.

A lovely Modern Bungalow situated just a little way off of the main farm and farmhouse surrounded by fields and beautiful large oak trees. A great little garden all fenced in … with fruit trees, shrubs lawn and outside lounge area to sit and take in the views with many a sheep to chat to over the fence .. the quietness is tranquil particularly at night. Well situated to explore this beautiful part of Yorkshire …. We have had a wonderful break and felt Very much home from home. We would highly recommend a stay. Thank you so much.

"Lovely bungalow in which to spend a relaxing week."
Springtime was the perfect time to visit as during the later half of the week ewes and lambs were turned out to graze the grass fields which surrounded the bungalow. We were able to make good use of the patio furniture provided.

"An excellent cottage to stay in with small children, field of horses next to the house excellent, and was able to go up to the main farm the see the lambs."
Location perfect for us to explore the area and see things, such as the NRM, NYMR, Heartbeat land, Whitby's fish & chips, Scarborough Market etc and also to view some potential locations to relocate too.

"Because the cottage is on a farm flies were a small problem."
In warm weather it may be worse. Nevertheless seeing farm animals and listening to owls at night was a good experience The cottage was modern, very comfortable and safe. The terrain was flat but the sky was wide and sunrise, sunset was beautiful.
-
"Superb bungalow, spacious, comfortable and contained all we needed."
Great views and good road contacts. Excellent hosts who were responsive to our likes. Area very handy for moors, coasts and cities. Super museum at Hutton-le-hole.
-
"Just a delightful, ttyl, well equipped and nicely located cottage, with all the facilities one could want!"
-
"Excellent property, great base for visiting the area or just relaxing."
All the comforts of home. Only one minor concern for pets or young children is the barb wire on the back fence of the property being on the inside of the fence and not the outside as on the other sides of the property.
-
"Beautiful bungalow much more spacious than we had expected, we really loved the peace and quiet ideal if you want quietness and off the beaten track."
Loads of attractions nearby and not far from the Gorgeous north York moors as well as the coast. Robin Hoods bay is a must beautiful quaint coastal village totally unspoilt. Would love to visit the area again.

"We had a great time staying here."
The bungalow was much bigger in real life than it looked on the photographs. It was clean, warm and cosy and had lots of room for the 6 of us. The owner was lovely too. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you x
-
"Carol was lovely."
Nothing was any trouble, she will bend over backwards to help you. The property was great. Very clean, warm and comfortable and great for our dogs with the enclosed yard. We didn't want to leave. The house was decorated for Christmas and Carol presented us with a Christmas present as we left which I will always remember where they came from. Thank you! We will highly recommend this property. As for the area, there are many great little old pubs and plenty of other things to do and see close by.
-
"Middlegate was like home from home but if going again I would take logs for stove as at £7 per bag they were expensive to buy there."
