  • "We were made very welcome, we had a lovely cottage, with two bedrooms, and near the swimming pool."

We used the pool every day and we were the only ones to use it, so had it all to ourselves. They gave us eggs, a lovely coffee cake, milk and bread which was enjoyable. The cottage was well equipped and quiet, we would certainly go again. Thank you.

  • "We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at East cottage."

On our arrival there was a lovely welcome pack waiting for us which was much appreciated, including milk which we’d forgotten to bring. The cottage is warm and cosy with lovely views across the countryside and the private back garden ideal for our dog where she could have a run about. Our children loved the pool which was big, very well maintained, had a shower, changing facilities and a toilet. We will be back for sure, thanks to the property owners for such an enjoyable stay.

  • "Wonderful stay from start to finish."

We were welcomed like family - there were even gifts left out for us. The pool is absolutely amazing, we spent some time there every day. Great place for families or couples and we will definitely return! Highly recommended

  • "Lovely area, and the grounds are well maintained."

It has a lovely pool to use. Owners were really lovely. But unfortunately I think our apartment was the only one not recently redecorated and the decor was tired, not very clean or comfortable. I believe the owners were going to address this. A few changes would make a big difference. Sykes cottages were very helpful.

Hoping to be back again in 2020 with friends. Pool is fantastic.

  • "Hartswood east is a wonderful place to stay just far enough off the main road to feel secluded but close to lots of interesting places."

The accommodation was exceptionally clean and very well appointed. Just need to be careful to not bang your head in the bedrooms as the ceilings are very quirky. Our apartment led straight down to a lovely swimming pool which was an added bonus. This place has only just been taken over by new owners so we were asked for any suggestions for improvements which was nice .. eugene was very attentive when we arrived but didn’t see him for the rest of the week didn’t meet Lucy although she sounded very nice on the phone .. Would highly recommend to anyone who wishes to have a relaxing holiday with a homely feel .
