  Clean and functional. Louise was very pleasant to deal with and gave us good advice on the area. Leven is centrally located to all the sites in East Yorkshire. Shout out to Bert’s in Brandesburton!!

  So quiet as well, lovely little shared garden for the dogs, Louise and her lovely mum were very helpful and friendly. If I had one niggle and it is a minor one it’s the lack of anywhere to dispose of dog waste. It’s not allowed in dustbin so you have to take it out with you to dispose of it so a separate doggy bin would be good but that’s just me. On the whole wonderful holiday,lovely doggy beaches. Just loved it.

  Privacy was also an issue as there were people coming past either to go to the side garden from next door or to change gas bottles, dustbins etc, On the face of it the place was well equipped but poor storage for clothes etc was problematic, the position of the bed was in front of the emergency window, trying to work out how we would escape this way [especially my husband who is disabled with mobility issues].

  Nice warm welcome from owner Louise. Great dog friendly local pub. Not a great deal to do locally without a decent drive out to places but a good location for a relaxing short break. It was a little expensive for the size of the property but despite that it was a really lovely stay and great for small dog or two.

  The only thing I would like to mention to guests is that the bed is set in to a frame. I unfortunately knocked my legs on 2 occasions trying to get passed it and ended up with very big bruises ego both sides either side.

  Over the years we have stayed in many cottages in various parts of the uk and for us this one has been by far the top of our pops.the cottage was spotless clean, exceptionally well facilitated and ideally situated for reaching the many attractions and places to visit that East Yorkshire and the coastline has to offer.Our hostess Louise was excellent in providing a lovely welcome pack, help,and guidance as and when we required it.This cottage is one that we shall definitely return to in the future and we would have no hesitation in highly recommending oak tree cottage to anyone seeking a real value for money venue in this magical location.   Just enough for the first night and morning. We normally expect a new roll plus a spare. Unsatisfactory toaster. Not a recognised make. The electricity in the cottage went off when we attempted to toast slices of currant bread. Even ordinary bread toasted unevenly on the two sides. Suggest a better quality toaster is provided to replace it.

  It is in a great location with good road access to lots of places including Beverley and Bridlington. The cottage is well equipped and comfortably furnished to a high standard. It is immaculately clean and very easy to keep tidy; it also has its own private parking space. The Bowser family are lovely and close at hand should their guests need anything.

  There was a pint of milk in the fridge alongside 6 free range eggs. The accommodation was excellent. We found it warm and cosy, very clean and tidy and the facilities in the cottage were second to none. We would recommend this accommodation to anybody wanting to explore East Yorkshire.   Couldn't have chosen a better place! The cottage was in a lovely location with everything you could need for a comfortable stay. Pretty garden and good quality furnishings. Louise was a very welcoming host - happy to help us with questions we had about the area. We would also recommend the nearby pub - The New Inn for a very friendly and comfortable place to eat and socialise. Welcoming to children with good food at very reasonable prices. We really relaxed and recharged our batteries! Also the city tour of Hull with Paul Schofield was fascinating and well worth considering.
