"The house was spotlessly clean, very comfortable and well equiped."
Ideal position for exploring North Yorkshire. Plenty of walks on the doorstep and lots of places to eat. We enjoyed our stay very much and hope to return.
Thankyou John. We are pleased you enjoyed your stay.

"Accommodation perfect."
Felt like home. Only issue we had was that we couldn't park outside by the front door as neighbour took up 3 spaces. Parked outside garage, only to find petrol flap open the next day. Luckily car has an antitheft device to stop petrol being taken. Car went into the garage after that. The Chip Shop only opens till 4pm. No good when you're hungry after a long day out. Also the Indian takeaway is closed. Didn't try the Saffron restaurant. This didn't take away how wonderful the accommodation was.

"I extended my first week and really wish I had managed to get the week before or the week after my two weeks as well."
Though a little to far to walk due to my medical issues I loved staying here and will be back as soon as I can afford it.

"Enjoyed my stay though location was a little to far for me as I struggle with walking, though that would not put me off coming back
The facilities ( bed was very comfortable) met my needs and locals very friendly when taking walk with the dog."

Very clean and comfortable beds, walking distance to leyburn, we found our accommodation to be a base not a comfy welcoming home we normally book, all items where we thought to be basic equipment and the bare walls made it look very unwelcoming, sitting out area adequate but absolutely no view, as the house is on an housing estate

Very impressive. Only item we would have liked would be a dishwasher.

"Excelent communication from the owner prior to arrival."
It was noted that issues from previous occupiers had been resolved and provided a good stay for the two of us with a small dog. Property is located in a quite area of Leyburn, with the town center being a short walk from the property. Patio door does need a "technique" to lock, but not impossible and did not cause any issue. Overall a good stay and would recommend.
Thank you for your feedback and we have now installed new French doors .Kind Regards Gary & Pat .

We had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay in this lovely cottage! A very easy walk into Leyburn and also very accessible to lots of pretty villages by car. We would not hesitate to recommend 66 Dale Grove and would love to return very soon!

"We had some difficulty with both doors."
The back door, or at least the lock, really needs to be changed, as everyone in the guest book has commented. It’s really stressful trying to lock it, even with the “knack” advised in the welcome booklet. Only one of our family could ever manage it.
One day we thought we were locked out as the key box at the front door was stuck even though combination was correct. Took about 20 minutes to get it open (in the rain) so we never used it for the rest of the week and took the key with us.
Property is comfortable and clean and tea/coffee/biscuits/milk was very much appreciated after a long journey. Kitchen is quite well equipped although we did have to purchase a casserole dish.
Garden is not secure - be aware of the large gap under the gate if you’re bringing a small/medium dog.
Sorry to hear about the problem with the key box as it is only 3 months old and no one else has had an issue that we know of but i will now look at changing . We have booked some one in to sort the lock to the French doors as other people have mentioned similar problem . I thought that the "Large " gap was no more than 100mm which i will now re visit and close off down to 25mm . Hopefully you enjoyed the rest of your stay .

"This is a very clean and comfortable property in a quiet residential area of Leyburn."
It was ideal for our family with 2 dogs - our children liked the small playpark nearby and it was within walking distance of the town centre, though as our visit was over the Coronation Bank Holiday weekend a lot of places were closed so perhaps not the best time to experience all Leyburn has to offer.
We appreciated the bottle of wine waiting for us, and that there was a good stock of cleaning products/household essentials. We also liked the ovely, fluffy towels and good quality bed linen.
No tea/coffee so bring your own: we arrived fairly late the first night so had to do without initially. Other than that small detail, we had a wonderful stay and would definitely return to the area and this cottage.
