  • "We found seascape cottage a well equipped and lovely decorated cottage."

    We had only one issue which I mentioned to Sam when she texted to ask if everything was OK,which was the fact the garden wasn't enclosed? We took a dog with us and the low picket fence that is in the garden had two unfinished places where the dog could have got out. I managed to find bricks and wood to make these places secure but Sam assured me the carpenter was going to finish it on our last day so there shouldn't be an issue now for future dogs.

  • "We had a great stay at Seascape cottage, everything we needed & it was very clean & cosy, with a very comfortable double bed."

    Marske is an ideal base for visiting North Yorkshire, not too busy & with a beautiful beach & coastal walks. There are plenty of restaurants & food shops, also it is very dog friendly

  • "Really lovely cottage thoughtfully presented."

    Ideal location to explore the area. Marske itself has plenty going on and an easy walk to the huge beach. Visit Craigs bakehouse for an amazing breakfast and really good coffee. Neighbours were lovely and friendly and gave us some tips on where to visit. Access and parking is cosy but you do have the option of parking in the Co-op, about a 2 minute walk from the cottage.

  • "Seascape Cottage is lovely, it is beautifully decorated throughout and was very clean."

    There’s everything you need at the cottage, the beds were comfortable and the shower is good. We liked the boot room, it was very useful. Marske is a pleasant town and the beach is not far down the road, the coastal path walk to Saltburn is around two miles. A previous review mentioned the tight parking, it was a bit tight but our VW California (T5 size) was ok. We had a wonderful time and would highly recommended Seascape cottage, thank you Sam

  • "We had the most wonderful, relaxing week at Seascape Cottage, which was extremely cosy and felt like home to us as soon as we walked through the door."

    The owners have done a superb job of making sure there is absolutely everything you could possibly need, even down to beach toys for any children visiting along with towels, throws, treats and a bowl for your fur babies. The attention to detail throughout is to the highest standard, it’s a gem. Thank you to Sam and we look forward to another visit to this beautiful cottage soon.

  • "Just returned from a four night stay in this lovely well appointed cottage."

    In an ideal location with the beach within half mile walk or as we did drive down to cr park on main road to Redcar. Fantastic beach we walked our dogs to Saltburn and back one day y and the following day to Redcar. When returning to accommodation there is a fantastic boot room to dry off. Your furry friends are well catered for with a dog house in the living room. Communication from the owner was superb checking in by text during the trip to ensure everything was well. Can not praise enough great stay.

  • "An exquisitely decorated band beautifully presented holiday home."

    However, the five star award must go to the owner, Sam, for her response to what went wrong. Within half an hour of our arrival we suffered a sewerage blockage. Sam’s prompt action had a technician visit us after 90 minutes and the problem resolved within two hours. That is brilliant service.

  • "Good last-minute break."

    Accommodation is well decorated and thought out for holiday lets. Marske is a great village down to the sea, people are happy and very friendly. Parking was a little tight anything bigger than a medium SUV may not fit down to the parking space. No downstairs heating on the first night the owners sorted it the next day. Luckily we got the woodburning stove to keep us warm. Plenty of gin and champagne glasses but if you're having a nice wine you need to take your own glasses as plastic glasses are all on offer.

  • "Such a lovely cottage."

    Very cosy and close to local amenities. Close to the beach, which is great for dogs and walks. We would highly recommend a stay. Saltburn and Redcar are on the doorstep. Brilliant in a word.

  • "This is such a perfect little cottage."

    Decorated to a high standard. Exceptionally clean and well equipped. Loved the little touches like hooks on the back of the doors (every cottage should have them!) and a dressing table and stool. Wish we could keep it a secret!!!

Marske-by-the-Sea is a small, bustling coastal village with long, wide, sandy beaches. Originally an old fishing village, today it has a selection of local shops and pubs, which cater for all the family, plus the safe, sandy beaches, sand dunes and fishing boats are an enticing attraction. Places of interest nearby include Captain Cook's birthplace, the mining museum, and the Zetland Lifeboat Museum. Within easy reach of this quaint village is a horse riding centre, the stunning scenery of the North York Moors, through which runs a steam railway line, and the numerous pretty inland villages and fishing villages including Staithes and Runswick Bay. The old Victorian spa town of Saltburn is just 3 miles away and it's an easy drive to other seaside resorts such as Whitby. A great base from which to tour the area.
