  • "Great property with a fantastic location."

Very close to all amenities. Everywhere we wanted to go was within a ten minute walk. Train and bus station very close. On street permit parking. Received an email a week before the stay to provide registration plate and permit was granted for the duration of the stay. Loved it so much we have rebooked for November. The welcome pack was a lovely touch and appreciated. Yeah the floor boards creaked a lot (as mentioned in a previous review) but added to the charm of the place. Lovely seating area in small back yard. Highly recommended.

It is in a brilliant location and easy to walk into town for shopping and visiting the bars and restaurants. We used the train a couple of times and ventured to Bridlington and Hull to take a break from driving. The cinema which is also within walking distance at Flemingate is also worth a visit. Beverley is a great place to visit with plenty to do.

Great Beverley location,3 minute walk to everything, permit parking outside,we always found a space. Cottage was more spacious than it looks. Bed's really comfortable, good quality sheets and duvet. We needed heating for some of our stay and it was easy to turn on and kept us cosy. Lovely welcome pack and responsive owners. No real issues however living room chairs and sofa less comfortable than they look, TV could do with an upgrade and we couldn't find a bread knife. Super little cottage and one we can thoroughly recommend.

Loved the decor and kitchen was well equipped! Parking was fine just need to be patient and give yourself a few mins extra to find a spot. Had a really lovely time and the location is perfect to explore Beverly. Only slight snag was the arm chairs in front room were not comfy when sat in for a long time - perhaps if updated in future could be looked at, only a minor thing though didn't impact the stay in anyway. Really nice property, would happily stay again.

  • "We did leave some suggestions which the owner may consider acting upon."

We enjoyed our stay very much and the cottage was ideally situated for Beverley centre. Some observations: The toilet didn't remove everything when flushed and had to be activated twice for a satisfactory result. The radiator in the bathroom didn't heat up like the other radiators in the house and consequently the bathroom wasn't as warm as it could have been. We imagine a cleaning company looks after the house as there were a few issues with hairs on the bathroom floor by the waste bin and in other areas. These comments were not written to present a detrimental view of the property and did not appear in the guest book, but simply to highlight minor improvements.

Parking outside cottage (with permit). The cottage has been totally refurbished during lockdown and is well stocked. The kitchen/dining room would be very cramped with 4 people. My main complaints would be that floorboards squeak a lot upstairs on the landing and secondly there are no sheets on the beds, only a thick duvets. It was hot when we stayed there.
