• "Lovely house,very clean and well equipped Parking a little challenging if you had a bigger car than we did (especially if the large van opposite was there) luckily the owners help us when we arrived."

• "Wonderful holiday made stress free due to the accommodation having everything we needed."

  Great location, didn't need to use the car once. Plenty of space and comfort. Everything was either new or simply worked properly, from a great shower to a quality cooker. The place was spotlessly clean. Met by the owners who were wonderful and helpful. Would highly recommend this as great place to stay.

• "Sally’s Berth was a great place to stay and in a central location to everything."

  Very clean and comfortable and has everything you may need. A short walk to an indoor market that sells lovely fresh produce. The beach is a 5 minute walk and the town shops are a 2 minute walk away. The train station is at the top end of the high street (no more than 10 mins walk). Good for day trips to York or if you want to travel to your holiday by train. We had a great time and would recommend Sally’s Berth to others.

  The owners were very helpful and were on hand to guide our car into the garage as we arrived. The property is ideally placed for the beach, seafront, castle and the town. The welcome basket provided by the owners was a nice gesture and very much appreciated. We had a lovely holiday and would recommend Sally's Berth.

• "Sally's Berth provided us with the ideal place to stay."

  It's very nice to be met by the owners who explain all you need to know about the accommodation. The added bonus is being able to park in the garage adjoining the property a rare find in the centre of Scarborough. It is a very comfortable house with everything you need for a relaxing holiday. It is also very convenient for all the attractions of Scarborough. 5 minutes walk to the beach and a short walk to the shopping centre. The market hall at the top of the street is the place for breakfast and the fresh cream cakes. We have had a lovely holiday at Sally's Berth. Thank you Sue and Nick

• "Sally’s Berth was the cleanest and best maintained of any cottage we have stayed at (24 years)."

  Thank you for meeting us and helping us into the garage. Thank you for the wonderful welcome basket. The only downside was parking as the road is quite narrow as is the entrance to the driveway and garage ( you must park in the garage) but by the end of the week we had totally mastered parking.! Don’t let that put you off it’s a super property. X

  Spotlessly clean with everything you need for a great stay, including parking. The welcome pack was a lovely touch. It's so close to everything you want, beach, castle and a great market hall for fresh produce. It was lovely to meet the owners who were there to greet us and to let us know where things are. A lovely place that we wouldn't hesitate to recommend to others.

  Great communication with welcoming owners. Modern fixtures and fittings. Spacious. Great attention to detail. Clean, neat and tidy. Parking available which is a rarity in Scarborough. Well worth the cost of the holiday. Would definitely book again.

• "Everything was new, clean and working, with comfortable beds and plenty of storage."

  The location was great, being within walking distance of both beaches, the castle and very close to the wonderful market with its fresh fruit, veg, meat and fish. At the same time none of the noise of the seafront reached the property. Having guaranteed parking was a godsend, although it was quite tight for a Honda CRV! All in all, excellent!

  Only a few minutes walk from the bustling seafront or town shops. Our Ford EcoSport fitted into the garage if you want a guide to size. We will return!

• "Stayed with our 3 grandchildren aged 12, 10 and 5 and had a brilliant week."

  The location is fab for beach, town, castle and Peasholme all within walking distance. The house had everything we needed (and more!) for our weeks stay and was spotlessly clean. I was worried before our arrival about the car parking as it does say suitable for a “standard” sized car and we have an SUV but the owners were there on arrival and guided us in with no bother - perfect! The owners take pride in their property (rightly so) and l clearly listen to any feedback and make changes if needed as evidenced by the bath mat and change of patio furniture.

• "What a lovely house a real home from home."

  In a great location minutes from the seafront, town centre and the north bay. So good to not have to use your car. Lovely meeting the owners and have them show us around and the goody hamper was very well received. Will definitely recommend and use again.

  The location of the property is excellent with most attractions within easy walking distance, although hills are involved.

We do like to be clear on our advert about the parking being suitable for a standard size car so that guests can make an informed decision when deciding if a property is suitable. I'm glad that I was able to assist with you parking your larger car and that we were able to help with advice on how to park for the remainder of your stay. The pictures on the advert of the patio table and two chairs were accurate, however we do value all our guest suggestions and so have replaced the set with a set that has 4 chairs to enhance our guest experience. • "The house is exactly as described in the listing."

  It's comfortable, fully equipped and was immaculate, having been recently redecorated. The owners were very friendly and helpful especially as we had a delayed arrival. The location is excellent. a few minutes walk from both the beach and the town centre in the other direction. The only thing to be aware of is that most places to eat along the seafront do close very early for dinner, 5.30 or 6pm even. Ask Italia is open much later. There are some more restaurants and a Wetherspoons in the town centre which open later. We found Gianni's Italian and Lezzet Turkish/mediterranean very good, but you need to book. The local buses are very good we went to Robin Hood's Bay and Whitby using them and did some lovely coastal walks and there are good walks around Scarborough itself. all in all a very pleasant week.

  The South Bay Beach is just a 2 min short walk. We’d happily stay here again. The hosts were lovely and always available if required. Cracking holiday home!

• "The photos do not do justice to this property - the house has been nicely renovated and provides a home from home whilst in Scarborough."

  The owners were there to meet us and show us around, and left us a very nice welcome pack, that was very much appreciated. The bedrooms, kitchen and living area were very nice and comfortable and the conservatory an added bonus in warmer months. The location is excellent, especially the indoor market 100m away for a beautiful full english breakfast.

• "This is a real gem of a property by the coast."

  We were a family of 4 visiting Scarborough for the week and we loved staying here. The property has been freshly decorated and furnished beautifully inside which made it a lovely place to stay. A very nice kitchen, conservatory and lounge with wifi and smart TV. There were also some books, games, DVDs, books available should you choose to use them. The property also benefitted from private off street parking which is rare in Scarborough! Location was absolutely perfect, barely a few minutes walk to the South Bay or the centre of the town for shopping. Once we arrived I didn't need to use my car at all. We were the first guests to ever stay at this property through Sykes so it was lovely that the owners greeted us on arrival and made us feel very welcome. They were also available by phone with immediate responses when we had any questions. The owners were very helpful and lovely towards us. We really enjoyed our time here and would highly recommend it for family holidays.
