  • "This property was very clean and well maintained."

The location is ideal as its within walking distance of both North Bay and South Bay. Parking permits were supplied for each day of our stay, we were able to park directly outside of the property everyday with no issues. The yard is small but is perfectly fine to sit outside in the summer months or to allow the dogs out each morning. The heating is easy to use and gets very warm within half an hour. The owner had excellent communication when needed. I would say that the property is nicer than it looks on the photos, the living room and main bedroom are bigger than what they look.

Thank you for your feedback. It was a pleasure talking to you and I'm glad you enjoyed your stay in Scarborough. Property Owner

  • "Its was an ok place we came home early, the sofas were very uncomfortable and not in great condition, beds were also uncomfortable, next door were so noisy we couldn't hear ourselves think,it was just OK,I wouldn't stay there again."

Thank you for your review but I'm unsure about what the 'not in great condition' remark was for regarding the sofas. They are leather with no rips or marks. I will have a look at purchasing some toppers, maybe that will help with the 'uncomfortable' remark on the beds, eventhough, they were purchased only six months ago. Regarding the neighbours, I'm sorry they were on the noisy side but I'm not sure how I can help with that. Property Owner

  • "Although t very clean and nice colour , the house really does need a refurb."

On entering , it smelt “ very old person” and damp. ( had to purchase fresheners to cover smell) Everything was very clean, so must have been years of old wallpaper and closets/ wardrobes upstairs and peeling paper in porch leaving a lingering smell. The bedding looked worn and we couldn’t sleep in the beds so purchased throws from tk maxx to sleep on. The back yard needed jet washing and painting ( couldn’t possibly sit out there) The road was extremely noisy with people at night shouting and not at all idyllic as stated, and parking room horrendous ( car at side of us had mirror knocked of by another vehicle going down road and it being very narrow) The pros were very clean, close to amenities, good for pets..

Thank you for your review. I would, however, like to reply to some of your complaints. You are the first to comment on an 'old person' smell but the peeling wallpaper has now been sorted as we have just been told about it. The bedding and beds are less than 6 months old, therefore, unsure about the 'worn' remark but I will ask my cleaner to let me know if replacements are required. Regarding the back yard, the walls were just repainted at the beginning of August 2024 with ornaments and flowers added to the walls and it is perfectly comfortable to sit outside. Regarding the roads outside, unfortunately, I'm unable to control them. The house is on a one-way street with parking situated on both sides. Property Owner

This is a lovely house, very bright and clean and within easy walking distance of all the sights - the beaches, a fabulous park with boating lake, the castle, shops, museums etc Also a lovely sunny and private little courtyard at the back which perhaps deserves a picture in the advertising too :-)

Thank you so much for your review. I'm so happy you had a nice time and enjoyed what Scarborough has to give. Property Owner
