  • "This property really needs some TLC."

Things like the damaged baby gate, the lack of light in the oven area . The light on the extractor still doesn’t Work. We stayed at Christmas and all the same niggles are there . Lots of areas needing attention with damp or wet patches . Really just needs a glow up

  • "The property is spacious and well presented."

The kitchen was very well equipped and the lounge was comfortable. Location is excellent and parking wasn't an issue. The biggest issue for us was the top two bedrooms. These were far from the standard of the rest of the house. They are too small for adults to move and stay comfortably as the roof restrictions make it difficult. There was little space to stand, even for shorter adults. The stairs up were perilously steep and the rooms were not well presented at all. Both rooms lacked any of the touches seen on the lower floors and access to the shower room was ridiculous because it was so small. They felt like an after thought compared to the rest of the house. 3 guests who used those rooms were not particularly happy. We planned a family BBQ during our stay as the description says there is a secure garden. There is no garden, no grass, nowhere to sit outside, just an enclosed yard that is big enough to let a dog out briefly. Suffice to say we changed plans! The house next door is being converted into a HMO so currently there is a lot of associated building noise. It's not too bad during the day, but during our stay they started about 7am and woke up the entire house. We called the local contact and she had a word with them and the start time was later for the last day we were there. Some advance notice that builders were there would have been helpful. It seems they've been there a while and will be there a while longer. This is a great holiday house up to the second floor, located centrally to the town centre and the sea front is walking distance. A great base for a family holiday.

  • "What a lovely place to stay in!"

! We booked the property for a long weekend with family and it was perfect. It all makes for a very sociable place and suited our needs exactly!! The location made everything accessible and the inside of the house was of such a high standard. We loved it and will definitely be returning.

Not a problem for us but you may want to get it looked at. Thankyou - the pictures don’t do the house justice

Family meet up of 3 generations all enjoyed this lovely home. The Welcome pack was unexpected & was a lovely gesture. We were worried about the parking as we had brought 2 cars, but had no difficulty finding spaces. Thank you for sharing your lovely home. Linda Neill

  • "We had a lovely stay and the house fulfilled our needs perfectly from the very well equipped kitchen to all of the other facilities."

However, I had cause to contact the landline number on the Wednesday, and I also used the mobile used by Natalie(?) to ring me on the 11th August when we were on our way. I left a message on both numbers, and never received a reply. Luckily, it wasn't urgent and we figured the problem out. If it had have been urgent, we would have felt a bit stuck, to be honest. Can I suggest that you check your answer phone messages, or at least make sure that the numbers are correct? Other than that, we had a lovely stay. The welcome pack was a lovely touch :-)

  • "The house was fantastic for a large group, access to town was great."

Previous reviews regarding neighbours were a little daunting at first but we found these reviews to be inaccurate during our stay. The welcome pack was gratefully received and the children loved the icecube machine! Parking was easy.

  • "Although the listing was accurate, with hindsight there is a glaring lack of information about the location of the property, It is in an area of multiple HMO's, most other properties appear to be converted to flats."

The house next door had 6 broken/boarded up windows and was occupied by the local drunks. As a result there was fighting, shouting, banging and loud music. The house directly opposite was not much better. The pavement outside was littered with broken glass empty beer cans and condoms. Whilst the property was excellent the area is certainly not conducive for a family holiday which involves children. I would certainly not recommend this property nor Sykes assuming they are aware of the shortcomings of the area.

  • "The property was absolutely fantastic and house a large family of 14 very comfortably."

We had an amazing time in the property and feel the facilities were brilliant. The host was fantastic resolved any queries very quickly. The house is unfortunately in a quite run down area which is slightly off putting but the property itself is great.
