• "We visit Scarborough several times a year and have stayed in many properties."

  I can honestly say that Ocean Spray is by far the best property we have ever stayed at. Everything was perfect. Comfortable and spotless, facilities were amazing quality good location - views over the harbour. Laura was attentive. Will definitely be back.

  The house was clean and tidy. The communication from the owner was great. My only concern for us was.Having never been to Scarborough before. It would have been good if we were warned about how steep the road was.

• "Really nice stay and the rooms were nice with good quality furniture and spacious."

  Beds were very comfortable and we all had a good nights sleep. A couple of things I asked the owner Laura about and she got on to it straight away and she was very helpful throughout without being intrusive. The whole family and pets thoroughly enjoyed our stay and recommend Ocean Spray.

• "What a fantastic property with superb facilities we felt very lucky to find this great holiday home."

  Outstanding views of the Harbour and beach. Great TV in lounge and in two bedrooms. Laura keeps the house fabulously clean. A nice welcome pack awaited us plus parking permits for our visit. Many thanks for a great week Steve and Sue

• "Fabulous property and a great location ."

  Some great walks, bars & restaurants. Parking was tight but they did supply 7 days of permits. Laura the owner came to visit and even sent us some recommendations for takeaways with menus.

• "House is beautiful, well presented and has all you may need for a stay."

  Its a great location too as walking distance to all the Scarborough sea front attractions. The only thing i'd say is I think it would be helpful to say a little more regarding parking, as there isnt a designated space and regarding unloading as you cant get the car that close to the house to unload. We had our elderly mum with us and she did find the steps/cobbles a struggle however I note you have recently amended regarding the steps. All in all a great stay and would recommend you to others. Thank you

  Thank you for your positive feedback I am now sending a welcome message saying you can unload on the double yellows at the foot of the steps and your scratch cards which are provided allow you to park anywhere in the A2 disk zone. • "Excellent clean holiday let property, Great view off south bay from one of the bedrooms, great location easy to walk most local attractions even if its a bit up and down hills ."

  Only downside is parking is away from the property and it can be difficult to find a on street parking space near the property as they are always full but the owner left parking permits which is very helpful. The only things of note that would be better is a shower screen or curtain in the bathroom and the lock on the patio double doors is not smooth or easy to operate, but i would strongly recommend this property if your planning a stay in scarborough.

• "Having booked for 4 adults, 2 disabled children and 2 dogs it was good to find that we were only a few minutes away from the sea front."

  With the aid of a permit we were able to park in the residents parking which was just around the corner - very important in Scarborough as most roads are double yellow. The accommodation was spacious and well laid out, even for the 6 of us. Kitchen appliances were all in good order, although we ate out for the most part. Cutlery and crockary were clean and modern. Everything was clean, neat and tidy. Beds were comfy and only the heat kept us from a good nights sleep - pushing 30 during the day. Bad points for the owner non of which would affect us staying again, just constructive feedback - although there is one shower and a separate bath with shower attachment it could do with a shower screen for the bath and a holder for the shower head as 6 people would have struggled with one shower had my wife and I not used the bath, shower head. The lock on the rear French doors is very difficult to lock/unlock. Finally the rear patio area could do with gates/boards to close it off for the dogs. All in all We were very happy with our choice and will stay again, which says it all.

There is a knack to the patio door lock so thank you now in my welcome message I do explain how to lock and open the patio doors, it’s easy when you know how we have put a sign on the front gate to say please close the gate as dogs are planning their escape. the joiner is making new side gates so that our furry friends can run and play and enjoy there stay as much as there humans. • "Lovely holiday home, spacious ,clean and well equipped, comfy beds and great shower."

  Enjoyed the garden very much could benefit from a parasol. Great location for exploring both north and south bay , close to beach ,shops and bars/restaurants. Good communication with prompt replies from owner , would definitely recommend.

• "The property listing did not state that the house was at the top of a hill which could only be accessed by a set of steps."

  This needs to be stated on the listing as I would not have booked this had I been aware - my friend is disabled and can only walk very short distances so getting him in and out of the property was extremely difficult. Parking also was a nightmare - there is no parking space outside the house and the nearest spaces are in a very tight parking area which never had spaces available. We had to park up a hill away from the house. Please state these things on the listing!! The house itself was lovely and very clean and would have been a great stay, however the misleading nature of the listing was unfortunate.
