• "Nice little apparrment , only issue was the heating , boiling hot in the entrance hall but heater didn’t seem to work at all in the sitting room/ kitchen area , we ended up putting a blanket over us in the sofa ."

  Also struggled with the lock in the internal door door downstairs and were stuck trying to unlock it for abit 5 mins , managed eventually so didn’t bother locking it t again , just locked outside door . Apart from that it was lovely , clean and everything there we needed Thankyou

• "We spent a lovely week at Picadore, a much needed rest for us both."

  The apartment is perfectly placed just outside the main shopping area making it so convenient to pop to the shops. Martin (the owner) has worked hard made it very homely and comfortable and Picadore is very true to the online photos. The quality of the bed linens was excellent and we slept extremely well in the king size bed, it was very comfortable. The bathroom was also great and the kitchen had everything you needed. Cleanliness was excellent. Wifi was good too. We could have easily stayed for another week and we are hoping to return to Picadore in the near future. Would absolutely recommend to all.

• "This was the best property we have ever stayed in when visiting Scarborough."

  The apartment was spotless and well-equipped with everything you could need. The bed was comfy, there was lots of space to relax. The only thing we might have found helpful was a guest handbook with what to do with rubbish, what to do at the end of our stay. However as the owner also owns the gallery below the property and he was around each day, we could pop in and ask him. Thank you for a lovely stay!

• "My husband, son, small dog and I stayed at the property for the second week in April ‘23."

  We really liked everything about the flat - Martin the owner is lovely and so helpful, the location is great as near to the lovely beaches at North Bay, Peasholm Park, the harbour, South Bay and lots of shops! And a nice pub nearby. The accommodation is superb - really nicely done up and really clean & comfortable. We definitely plan to have another holiday there!

• "Brilliant central apartment in Scarborough, located on the North Bay but close to the town centre and South Bay."

  Spotlessly clean apartment with modern furnishing. I really enjoyed the Bluetooth mirror in the bathroom to play things from my phone whilst getting ready. The bed is very comfortable. Strong hot water and heating systems which was very welcome on colder days and evenings. Full kitchen for cooking if you want to eat in the apartment. Great for dogs, a lovely bean bag style bed provided for them to relax and sleep. The owner is very kind and understanding and great to deal with. Easy Check-in and check-out.

• "We've stayed at Picadore previously and had no hesitation going back."

  It's a lovely apartment, very nicely decorated and had everything we needed. An added bonus is the coffee shop that has opened in part of the printers below. I really enjoyed the cups of coffee I had there, admired the prints on the wall and had one of my own pictures printed at a very reasonable price. All in all I couldn't fault anything.

• "A very relaxing comfortable and well furnished for whatever we needed."

  Very close to the beach... stores...town centre...we went to the beach 2times a day most of the time...and it's very neat and tidy...loads of quality bath towels... pillows... kitchen wares... everything was top notch...and even lovely remote controlled lightings ... I mean it was very nice. The host was absolutely gracious. Lovely place ... definitely recommend and hope to be back again.

• "Picadore is the perfectly placed, and appointed, staycation, location."

  It is right in the heart of everything, making everything walkable in Scarborough and easy drives to the whole of the beautiful coastline. The apartment is stylishly decorated with everything you need. A full size, well equipped, kitchen, good size bathroom, with walk-in shower and really comfy bed. And Martin is the perfect host, he made everything really easy, from meeting us with a parking pass when we first arrived, to being on hand throughout, great stay, we highly recommend Picadore.

• "Great property and great host."

  Perfectly located for North Bay walking and easy access to the South Bay including restaurants, bars and shops. The flat is warm, cosy and pretty much a home from home. Everything you need, washing machine, tumble drier, dishwasher, modern bathroom and comfortable furnishings. My daughters loved the lounge LED lights and the bluetooth bathroom mirror was a hit!!! Felt very safe and at night was lovely and quiet. Bonus is free on street parking outside the flat. Martin was on hand if needed and made himself readily available. Martin even rang us to let us know about the dolphin spotting opportunity, a very thoughtful host. Will defo be returning soon we hope. Thanks Martin and Sykes cottages

• "Very modern and clean apartment with a spacious bathroom and a large bedroom and all you would need in the lounge- kitchen area but we probably won’t be going back because we are dog people and all the floors are wood which our dog didn’t like also there was no where for the dog to go toilet also there was 17 step to go down to go out also very difficult to find a parking space near by."

  But having said all that if you do not have a dog the apartment was comfortable and central and the owner was very approachable and friendly

• "The Picador Apartment is a lovely modern well equipped apartment."

  It is spacious, good kitchen, nice crockery, cutlery. Good utility room with all amenities and cleaning materials. Large lounge diner nice soft furnishings and Modern TV. Bedroom well furnished, comfy bed and pillows with good quality bedding and towels. Spacious shower room, good water pressure for shower. The location is ideal for the North and South bays and nearby a variety restaurants public bars and local supermarkets. The owner is very helpful and welcoming. The apartment is perfect for a self catering holiday. Highly recommend and we will return. Many thanks to the owner.

• "We had a lovely week in Scarborough."

  Martin was a very friendly, helpful man. The flat is lovely. Very stylish. I loved playing around with the mood lighting on the remote control. Every colour, you could change it whenever you want. Martin put up a Christmas tree for us and some decorations which made it feel very cosy. The location is perfect, about as central as you can get. We came by train, and everything was in walking distance. North shore and South shore really easy to walk to, and shops only a couple of minutes on the doorstep. Pubs, restaurants, takeaways, excellent amenities. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Picadore and Scarborough. A lovely town any time of year!!! Thanks Debbie and steve Loughborough.

  We appreciate the easy to use search facility on your website. The search term combinations mean that we can search for a particular week and number of people and pet AND find somewhere that is close to the coast and within our price range. We've found that other sites are not as easy to use. We're not so keen on the pop-up 'someone just booked in Durham' messages though - unnecessary and annoying. Worst of all - it can end up covering up your own search results - maybe get rid of that before it starts to put people off!
